havent played with it a ton but i thought it would be great for backing up my titanium backup and pics and stuff between flashes.
if anyone figures out how to upload a folder from your phone let me know how please =)
Can't upload large files. Tried to upload a Tom but it said that the file was too big.
Can't upload a folder, but you can create a folder on Box and upload into it.
Lower left of box app is a plus sign on top of a folder, click that to create your folder.
Even with the huge amount of space, no folder uploads, small upload limit, and no desktop client makes box pretty much useless. Dropbox dominates because it has these features.

yeah i think it is. its weird you cant upload a folder though....
Ive had that for a long time. I had to download an app which you had to login to with your Box details, then it somehow made the actual Box think that it was a certain phone (LG or SE?) that could get 50GB free and then voila.

one thing ive found out recently is that with dropbox you can set it to automatically backup your pictures (when on wifi if you want)
which is great because i always forget to back them up when changing roms (constantly)
and have lost a ton of pictures!

lol, you can actually make as many accounts as you want with the 50GB. note that the limitation of a free account still hold true, you just have 50GB vs 5GB.
wish they would make sync available on this, would be a dropbox killer

I tried it and I have to say it sucks. You cannot create folder structures and each upload is limited to 25 files. Dropbox is much better. The only thing this has going for it is how much space they give; but it is so limited in how you can use I find it to be almost useless for my needs. Thanks anyway. You did get an extra 1gb because I tried it with your link, but am uninstalling it now.

Yeah, I think it's geared at the "sharing" market instead of the "backup/storage" market. Think "sharing photos and videos with grandma".
I did, however, split my iPhoto library into ~175 rar chunks and am (slowly) uploading them all to a single directory on Minus. Now I have it backed up with Minus AND Amazon (40GB for about $3.75 per month).

Users who installed any Sense 4 ROM would also have a chance to get free 23GB extra space from HTC One promotions, but looks like this illegitimate method of getting free 23GB has been caught by the Dropbox itself.
So I think I should get my files on Dropbox as soon as possible before they deleted it because 23GB free space I've got is the illegitimate method by using ported Sense 4 ROM.
Official statement from Dropbox support:
The official Dropbox 23GB HTC promotion will not start until sometime early this month, when the devices are released. To earn the extra 23GB of extra Dropbox space you will need to link your HTC Sense 4.0 device to your Dropbox account and complete “Get Started.”
The method to earn 23GB that is being circulated on the XDA Developers forum and on other blogs and forums is illegitimate. We plan to remove any space received using this method.
Downloading apps from unknown sources is not a good idea, as they might have been modified to include malicious code. We strongly recommend that you only install the Android Dropbox app via Google Play (formerly known as the the Android Market) or from official download links on Dropbox.com.
I hope this helps.
best,
Sean

They will remove the 23GB that was part of the promo but leave what you had before.
So you don't need to remove all your files.

There ARE programs for that on PC but not really for phones, there's not much demand plus the processors generally aren't very powerful making conversion painfully slow.
I'm just saying, if you convert a normal video down to 500kb you're going to have horrific quality and you won't be able to see ANYTHING.
