I tried it and I have to say it sucks. You cannot create folder structures and each upload is limited to 25 files. Dropbox is much better. The only thing this has going for it is how much space they give; but it is so limited in how you can use I find it to be almost useless for my needs. Thanks anyway. You did get an extra 1gb because I tried it with your link, but am uninstalling it now.

Yeah, I think it's geared at the "sharing" market instead of the "backup/storage" market. Think "sharing photos and videos with grandma".
I did, however, split my iPhoto library into ~175 rar chunks and am (slowly) uploading them all to a single directory on Minus. Now I have it backed up with Minus AND Amazon (40GB for about $3.75 per month).
yea it would have to do alot of **** to beat drop box with automatic sync and the market apk is damn good... im gonna try with your link just to hook ya up but i dont think ill be replacing dropbox anytime soon...

I was looking through the development thread and saw this app, well since it doesn't belong in there, I figured I'd start a thread here
-This is an app similar to Dropbox. Difference? it offers 5GB online storage, compared to 2GB
I just started using it, but so far it works great....
so click this link and you can get started:
www.sugarsync.com
(Or use link below so we can both get extra MBs)
Then search for SugarSync in the market, and u can easily download files to your phone and/or sync entire folders easily.... it works really well.
So check it out and let me know what you think about the app
https://www.sugarsync.com/referral?rf=etde9pzdce4oo
(all im getting is some more storage space MBs)
I just got used to dropbox, but can't complain for more storage. I think I'll register. Good find man, and thanks for sharing.

But this app is pretty neat, it works great for syncing music pics, and my android stuff folder between my PC and my phone. I had barely used dropbox because of the little space available, but this is a different story
And I even won a $25 gift card! Haha

Better make a backup with titanium or appsaver of the apk because a similar program, tv shows, has just disappeared from the market. Also just in case google decides to yank the app from the market for whatever reason. This has happened to me with other programs and I'm glad I had the apk backed up.
I saw it on youtube 3 days ago! It looks nice, i dint download it because it would waste my barrery. And i have my ipod for that. Jiji awesome tho

Awesome App.
Yeah... Download an app from MegaUpload... That sounds safe.
Put it in the Market, then I'll consider touching it.
For those who don't get what I'm talking about: Trojans are installed in Android by people downloading apps from outside the Market, then side-loading them (usually, the latest batch of trojans were an exception).

It is in the market.
Search "TVShowsStream" just like in the subject line of the OP's post.
There's a Lite and Paid version. I don't like how it works (relying on shows staying up at sites like MegaVideo and such) and tbh I'm never going to watch TV on my phone, so I wouldn't pay for it. Already uninstalled the Lite version.
The link above is the full version

But please note that this requires the Getjar application. (which I believe you can uninstall after you get the apps you want!)

I tried it out, yeah you have to DL their getjar app. However you can uninstall it afterwards.
You can't download the apps for free from the market at a later time, though, if you uninstall them. IDK, this is just what I've observed
Getjar has been around quite a while. I used apps/games from there on my old Nextel phones and feature phones using java. Its probably setup the way Amazon does their app market.

I welcome your idea since it's been a long awaited thing.
I am onboard, Signed!
That is actuall a really good idea becaus ethen we can downlod roms, kernel, etc. and not have to move it from the computer to the phone, then install. I like it!
Wouldn't it be nicer with a more generic app for uploading to X file sharing service? Like, fileserve, filesonic, megaupload, you name it
Full support, and I agree with the above poster that a generic one would be even better.
i think i am out of it..........i don't own android so why searching for an app..

havent played with it a ton but i thought it would be great for backing up my titanium backup and pics and stuff between flashes.
if anyone figures out how to upload a folder from your phone let me know how please =)
Can't upload large files. Tried to upload a Tom but it said that the file was too big.
Can't upload a folder, but you can create a folder on Box and upload into it.
Lower left of box app is a plus sign on top of a folder, click that to create your folder.
Even with the huge amount of space, no folder uploads, small upload limit, and no desktop client makes box pretty much useless. Dropbox dominates because it has these features.

yeah i think it is. its weird you cant upload a folder though....
Ive had that for a long time. I had to download an app which you had to login to with your Box details, then it somehow made the actual Box think that it was a certain phone (LG or SE?) that could get 50GB free and then voila.

one thing ive found out recently is that with dropbox you can set it to automatically backup your pictures (when on wifi if you want)
which is great because i always forget to back them up when changing roms (constantly)
and have lost a ton of pictures!
