Modded S-Memo App for 200/220/240/260 DPI Density Setting - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

Update: I made different Versions for Different DPI Settings.
I modded the SMemo so that it can be used with 200/220/240/260 DPI Setting without having that ugly lines. Most of the Backgrouds should be useable
OG App was taken from the Angelrom 1.0
How to Install:
Backup your SMemo.apk from /system/app
Edit the File Name to SMemo.apk
Copy the File to /system/app
Optional: reboot

tried it, looks pretty good so far thanks.
one question though, how'd you mod the smemo apk and make the mod stick? i was changing some png's inside using 7zip, nothing else, and just pushing the apk back to the system apps folder but my modifications do not reflect. am i missing a step here?

Works good for the notes that are made from within the smemo application.
However still the same for notes that are made by opening a new note by tapping the screen twice with the pen

Tried the Mininote thing, the Note View BG must be another one. When you edit it its ok. You can then just open the Skin selector and select the same skin again then its fine

Yes. The background is back to normal when i edit the mininote. However wish it happened by default.

Gonna check it over the weekend. Wanna try and make versions for other Densitys like 200 220.

i tried , but no change with sheep rom..
i found that the file is obly 17k or so while the original is 14mb.. this could be why?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App

thanks I'm at 240dpi and your work is much appreciated
But I think that the work is not entirely finished..
As you can see, in some (3) wallpaper, there are still 5 brown lines
Maybe it's ok to 260, but you could fix for the 240 density
also a correct mini-notes would be much appreciated (SMemoLite.apk)

Can someone be so kind as to post the original s-memo apk (without density change) for me? I lost one of the default images--the building one--by accidentally deleting it but I like it a lot. Many thanks in advance.

Missed the post, I was looking for solution since the day I got my Note.
I did a same mod just today
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19678283&postcount=13
this should work with 200dpi+
Enjoy

[MM Theme] HTC IME Swype

Follow me on twitter @luniz7
You can do the copying with root explorer.
Download swype with the swype installer, if you don't have it, find the apk and install to/system/app/. If you download with the swype installer, install and don't enable. Copy com.swype.inputmethod-1.apk to/system/app. Install the apk there once copied. Put the swype_htc.zip in the android themes folder. Download metamorph. Select create new. Select the swype_htc.zip and follow the instructions. Once applied, reboot the phone, then go in to keyboards in settings and enable swype. Some times it won't take on the first try, just reapply the metamorph and reboot and it should take.
Get it HERE , make sure swype is in /system/app and named com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk
I take no credit other then changing the .thm to .xml
If it doesnt work let me know asap!

did you move your swype is that why you are having trouble removing it?
If so-
delete the app from system/app or whatever the current location is- and then delete the additional file- com.swype.android.inputmethod in data/data/
restart phone. and also uninstall your swype installer and you should be good to go
yeah it was because I moved it, I wound up just searching for any swype related files in root explorer and deleting them. Its back working now, haven't tried to theme it yet though
Can someone please apply this to the latest version of Swype with a mic and package that up?
my install is named com.swype.inputmethod-1.apk and I can't get it to work using the directions in the first post.

[MultiDPI] Galaxy S Pack from Xan! UPDATED FOR GINGERBREAD!

Just in case someone missed the thread.
Since we don't have CWM, follow the instructions below
Download the GalaxySPack...
Unzip files in /system/app.
Backup your phone's file.apk that you are about to copy from GalaxySPack and also the odex file. (You can rename the files xxx.apk.bak, xxx.odex.bak)
Copy the files in your phone's /system/app/, reboot and there you go.
Done.
Don't forget to hit the "Thanks" Button for me is all I ask.
*** There is also the MultiDPI Video Player and Camera, but it doesn't seem to affect our phone. Should work on any DPI.
FOR Gingerbread Install.... (Other APK's are coming)
1. Download unsignedDialerTabActivity.apk
2. Rename to DialerTabActivity.apk
3. Backup your Original DialerTabActivity in \system\app
4. Copy new DialerTabActivity.apk
5. Hit the Thanks Button for me please (I actually did this one on my own)
Enjoy!
P.S. Music Player is the same for GB.

The zip contains apks. Basically you replace the apks from this zip into your /system/app
Like the DialerTabActivity.apk or MusicPlayer.apk. These apk's are modded to support most DPI changes. So you just replace away, but a good idea is to back your old apk hahaha....
Hope that helps.

When you change DPI's certain things like the phone dialer doesn't scale correctly. These APKs does...

Try it for the music.apk, its nice especially when you turn on visualize for a song. Its so nice on a horizontal screen on a 4.5" screen!
Awesomeness dood! I am going to try this right now
Okay, so I made the change and my thoughts:
Dialer works perfect, music player works too but my biggest concern is that my grid where I can place icons and the apps drawer is still in the top left corner.
It's almost like phone doesn't know I can put icons in the bottom right.
What do I need to change in order to fix that?
Basically the layout of the phone does not recognize all the extra space I have now?
How can I take a screenshot to show you guys?
It kinda looks like this. Any ideas?

cp /sdcard/settings/apps/DialerTabActivity.apk /system/app/
rm /system/app/TouchWizCalculator.odex
cp /sdcard/settings/apps/TouchWizCalculator.apk /system/app/
reboot
i use AWD Launcher to fix launcher problem
I used root explorer to copy the files over and set permissions.
It was launcher issue...I changed the launcher to launcher pro and it works like a charm now at 200 density for now. I might change it to 190 but I think 200 is a decent enough density
Thanks everyone

Dude 190 is WAYYY better.... at 200 there is a little oversharpness by samsung's filters. 190 really creates more of a rounded letter... Doesn't make that big of a difference.
Also in LauncherPro you can change the number of rows or columns on the home screens + have it automatically size widgets and placement of icons to get that even look.

Yeeeahhh, didn't work...
I did just notice that whenever I messed with the file name, my shortcuts for dialer and contacts disappeared, linked apps, I guess. I'll have to mess with it later, leaving work in a minute.
If anyone else wants to try, try dialer.apk, contacts.apk, and contactsprovider.apk all at once. Try changing the file name of dialer.apk to phone.apk, or opposite, I don't have time to mess with it right now.
Hey im pretty new to android and only 16 and don't know much besides a few basic things but I do happen to have a lot of time on my hands so ill make my own attempts on making the stock dialer and contacts work and hopefully learn more about android and eventually make my own ROM when I feel like I fully understand everything. Hopefully within the next few months I could have an active role within the dev community. Anyone with important tips on anything at all that could help my efforts please pm me!

I can only get v2 working on original 1 click, still updates dialer for the most part.
v3 has more, and should work will any of the newer roms, seen confirmed on MHXs superlite. It is a theme, not a new APK, but over-all gives the desired affect.

[FONT][GUIDE] How I managed to change the ICS Font (Full Guide)

So, i have been trying to change my ICS Font, Roboto (which in my opinion) is the essence of boredom packaged as a TTF file, and it's why i'm here wanting to help you out to get it out of the way since I had a few hurdles to overcome.
At first I tried these 2 apps which had worked rather well in Gingerbread
- Font Installer *Root*
- Font Changer (root)
At first you might think these work, however they only manage to change the Regular (not-bold, not-italic, not-bold-italic) font of ICS, and you will end up having your desired font on most of the text but still Roboto-Bold on bold text. It is also possible to cause your ICS not to boot up.
Next...
Upon looking things up on google I landed on this page.
Seemed quite straight forward, download, reboot to recovery and install via CWM. But, when life wants to slap you in the face, it will (that's my version of Murphy's law)
That's what I did and once I rebooted... surprise surprise... still on Roboto font, I had already inspected the zip files on my PC and they did contain the different font, so I'm assuming something went wrong that caused the files not to be copied.
If this worked for you, you can stop reading. Enjoy your new font.
Then I installed Root Explorer, and this is how I finally managed to get this damn font changing to work.
I had already downloaded some font packages from here. Apparently it was essential that I use the files contained in these font packages. The TTF files in these zip files were altered using 3rd party software to make them compatible with Android, and since this is not a guide on how to alter fonts I won't go into that.
So, just pick a font package from that forum and extract the 4 ttf files in it somewhere in your sdcard, you should be looking at these 4 files.
Roboto-Bold.ttf
Roboto-BoldItalic.ttf
Roboto-Italic.ttf
Roboto-Regular.ttf
Using Root Explorer copy-paste them to /system/fonts/
At this point your phone might start to act strangely. Sometimes it keeps working properly, sometimes it hangs for a few seconds, and sometimes all text turns into chinese. No problem, just reboot, pulling out the battery works fine aswell.
Once back in Android go back to Root Explorer /system/fonts/ and change the permissions of the 4 Roboto files you just copied, since i was lazy i simply put the permissions to "rwxrwxrwx", rebooted and finally it worked, if you're anal about permissions then set the permissions like the other font files in /system/fonts/
My personal choise was a font called Coconut Medium
I hope you find this guide useful, and sorry for the long wall of text :\
Edit: if anything a bit unclear let me know and i will update it to make it easier to understand

I always likes "Nokia pure"
Sent from my EVO One 3D using the XDA Premium App.
What I did was, download the zip, extract the 4 font files, place the 4 font files in data/app folder (this is the folder where you find your market installed apps), change the permissions to all 4 font files, place the 4 files in system/fonts, and reset.

Yes they do, just used them.
Scratch that! After a fresh flash went back and they are now down.
Scratch that again! Switch sick browser to desktop view and DL link is there.

Some way, how implement czech characters? Like "ř" and "č" dissapered. Other characters from czech are shown good.
First of all, thank you for that guide. Although I figured it out myself (just like you I tried out apps, saw that only Regular was replaced, "adb pull /system/font" to see which font was mine -> saw I needed Bold/Italic/... as well ^^).
What helped me most is you mentioning "make them compatible with Android" and posting the link to that guide.
Up to now a few fonts I wanted to try didn't work, the phone (One X in my case) just hung at bootscreen and I couldn't figure out why, so I needed to boot into recovery and copy "working" fonts via adb. Turns out they didn't have correct font "weight" and "design" declared in the font-properties. A friend of mine (design student) added those properties for me in a minute, and it works now Maybe this information might be helpful for others who might stumble upon the same problem.
thanks

Thanks for the fonts.
I did replaced my native font with Roboto- Regular. I can read all my native font now.
But I have a little bit problem, the fonts in Settings menu are disappeared now.
Any idea?

I'm very sorry but i have no idea why it wouldn't work completely :\
It seems to have worked to plenty of other users.
Maybe you could try taking a full backup install a different rom and try changing font again just to see if it's an issue with the rom of your choice.
But it seems like a lot of work.

[THEMED CIRCLE CLOCK] Customizing the Stock Quickcircle Case Watchfaces

So i've made several watchfaces for my Pebble and my Gear, and as soon as i saw the Stock Quick Circle Watchfaces, i knew i wanted to make some. I've downloaded the LG SDK and am working on making my own faces. But for starters i wanted to modify the stock faces in Photoshop. So i thought i would share my progress
1st i had to find where the clocks are stored,
system/priv-app/LGAlarmClock.apk
open LGAlarmClock.apk in 7zip, and navigate to res/raw-xxxhdpi
now pick your stock watchface background that you want to modify.
I chose the black one. And since I'm a Louis Hamilton fan, i chose to drop in the Mercedes Petronas F1 team.

after you replace the stock .PNG file with the modified file. Use ES File Explorer, or any other Rooted file browser that lets you set individual permissions. Drop LGAlarmClock.apk back in sysem/priv-app. Change the permissions for the .apk from rw-rw-r, to rw-r-r, Reboot.

happy customizing:good:

so we can not have this as an apk to install it directly without replacing anything????
You must install apk and click in modules in your xposed app and then reboot your phone. Your installed watchface has replaced your second standard watchface
so I some how accidentally deleted my LGAlarmClock.apk from my G3 (D851). Does anyone have the stock file kicking around that i could download from you?
I also keep getting an error that days "a replaced file is not present in the zip". Seems kinda self explanatory but I cant find anything missing
