So in clockworkmod I formatted boot, cache, system, and data. Sometimes I do this when having problems changing roms. Well this time I have a problem, the one and only rom on my phone is Bionix and it will not install. Now my phone will not connect to my computer. If I restart the phone it goes straight to the bootloader and says no boot or recovery image. I can scroll down to recovery and it will go to CWM 5 but I have no roms in there to flash other than Bionix. The computer will not recognize the phone in either fastboot or recovery so I have no idea what the heck to do to get this thing running again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
you can try going into CWM go to scroll to advanced then mounts and storage..then mount sd...connect phone to pc...n transfer rom to phone...u should b able to flash the rom then

Tried that. I'm going to pick up a new usb cord tonight at Best Buy and maybe that will get it.
maybe u can try reflashing recovery via fastboot then use mounts and storage and see if that will work..
If you can go in CWM then you're far from bricked, haha.

1) Go to Clockworkmod Recovery
2) Mounts and storage menu
3) Mount /sdcard
4) Mount USB storage
5) Plug phone to computer
6) ????
7) PROFIT!!!!
Got it working. The problem was the USB cord. Now running ICS! Thanks for all the help.

So in my many attempts to flash with no USB cord to get nvflash and no SD card
I stumbled across the stock recovery
from what I've heard, when the phone is off and u press vol - and power it factory resets u. But no recovery
....
But
If you go to settings, SD and phone storage, and then u unmount phone storage
Then go to rom manager and click reboot to recovery
U reboot into stock recovery
I can't seem to actually make selections there...
And I was trying to find the folder in root explorer where the ota update would go so I could push a rom as a fake ota update
May be ridiculous and stupid of me but I was bored and I'm impatient as hell...
Blah fml not having my sdcard aand USB cord

i bought my phone from a shop called cex here in the uk i enjoyed my nexus i9020 till the power button stopped working i got it exchanged for a i9023 but the phone does not boot up and is stuck on the google part of the boot up where the lock is if your unlock the bootloader. normally i have to boot it though adb which is a hassle is there anyway to fix this ?
I donot know how to fix it completely but it is probably because you don't have any software or system on the phone which is whta happened to my brother's phone. I recommend getting help tto install an android system update manually (google search) and install it using recovery, install from sd card and choose the android system file zip.
Good Luck!

Try entering the fastboot mode by pressing and holding both Vol up and power button once there .. scroll down to recovery with volume down and press the power button on recovery ... once u see the triangle with exclamation mark in center... press but not hold power and volume up (might take a few tries)...once in recovery see if the phone has a Restore on it... if it does.. you are one lucky S.O.B lol

Since he can't boot Android there's only one (two if you count Odin) option.
unlock bootloader via fastboot.
flash cwm recovery from bootloader menu with adb.
format everything with cwm recovery.
download any rom for your device, eg the stock one from the sticky in general section.
mount usb storage (remember to mount /sdcard first).
copy rom onto storage, unmount storage, install zip from sdcard. done.

He doesn't have to flash cwm. He could just flash the stock rom via fastboot.

How does he copy it on the sdcard though if he can't access Android?
still does not work
So i was about to sell my nexus s (rooted and unlocked) and i tried to reset it but i got the error icon....so i wiped everything from cwm recovery. since i did that, the rom will not run...it sends me back to fastboot and recovery but i cannot mount the usb to my computer to flash a new rom. How can i get my phone to mount through cwm recovery so i can put a zip on the internal storage???
When you can start your phone into fastboot, you can connect it to your pc and try to flash a new recovery. If you want to completely wipe the phone and install the stock ICS you also could just flash that via fastboot.
or just boot on download mode and flash via ODIN the stock Rom

search dev section , there is
but if you wanna set it to factory set , why don't you just flash 2.3 stock rom which has stock recovery that will overwrite the CWM recovery

You have to press VOL+ & VOL- And plug the data cable
You don't need Odin. There is an option in cwm to mount USB storage.

Odin is only for Samsung phones
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah Odin is for Samsung mobile only.
Download any ROM of your choice in zip format and save it to your computer. (Don't extract it)
1)Now reboot into recovery mode. (Connect it to computer with USB cable)
2)Select mounts and storage
3)Select mount USB storage.
4)Now your mobile will be mounted as USB drive on your PC/laptop.
5)Now copy the downloaded ROM as it is into the phone memory.
6)Unmount USB storage and select go back
7)Select install zip from sd card
8)Choose zip from internal sd card/
9)Now select the zip file and sit back.
10)Once the mobile unpacks the zip file and flashes the ROM, it will give you a message install from sd card complete.
11)Reboot your phone. (Reboot will take a little bit longer time)
Now you will be on your new ROM!
NOTE: DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
hi ALL.
I think I've bricked my phone and need your help to get it working again.
I went step by step as per this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427 and everything was perfectly fine until I tried to install new rom. I got error 7 and now mobile will only reboot into CLockworkmod Recovery v5.8.1.5 I tried to usb connect it but my pc will not see it.
Please help and Thanks in advance,
Andrew
Try to boot into bootloader and flash different recovery and then try to flash that rom if its bad download than retry downloading and by mount usb storage option in mounts and storage transfer the rom file and flash again.
