Xoom stock rooted 3.2.1 openvpn - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anybody been able to get openvpn working on 3.2.1? Can you please help with steps if u can.
Currently I get through the auth and at get config I get
Cannot allocate tun/tap dev dynamically.
I know I don't have tun.ko in my /system/lib/modules. I got the one for 3.2 but it seem to work. I didn't find a tun.ko for 3.2.1.

[Q] Wireless with Ubuntu

Hello,
I recently installed Ubuntu in a dual-boot, and most things are working well. However, one of the biggest problems is with wireless. I have injected the firmware from the android kernel, and am able to connect using wpa_supplicant or a basic 'sudo iwconfig essid [network ssid]'. However, I have read on the Dev forum that some users have been able to flash a kernel onto their device that provides wifi via a GUI. I have not been able to, and am wondering if anyone would be able to help me out.
The links to the patches are here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1191141&page=76. Post #753. Dev posted on building the patches. Does anyone know how to build these patches and get a GUI for network manager working?
Thanks,
kiambogo

[Q] What do I need to make CIFS work?

Hello.
I'm using stock 2.3.5 and would like to get access to some network shares on my home network.
When CIFSManager try to mount a network share it returns error: "out of memory"
Does anyone know what is wrong?
Thank you.
Evidently it requires something changed in kernel. Installed .41 kernel and now it's working.
I use the free version of AndSMB

[Q] Missing TUN Module in OpenVPN

I am trying to get OpenVPN running on my phone and I am having an error where the phone reports it can't find the TUN module. I have tried running TUN.KO to install it, but it does not look like that app can find the correct module.
Any other ideas on how to get this to work?

who compile kernel 2.6.29-zeus1 tun.ko

I have a Samsung i9008 which is specific for China Mobile 3G TD-SCDMA.
Kernel version: 2.6.29-zeus1
I have compiled a tun.ko file. Installed successfully without any errors (insmod).
But when I connect in VPNC or run vpnc's script, the phone reboot.
I think the procesure of setup tunnel cause phone crash.
I can't find the solution to resolve.
