I am trying to get OpenVPN running on my phone and I am having an error where the phone reports it can't find the TUN module. I have tried running TUN.KO to install it, but it does not look like that app can find the correct module.
Any other ideas on how to get this to work?
ROM: Apex 1.0.2
Kernel: GLaDOS 2.10

Has anybody been able to get openvpn working on 3.2.1? Can you please help with steps if u can.
Currently I get through the auth and at get config I get
Cannot allocate tun/tap dev dynamically.
I know I don't have tun.ko in my /system/lib/modules. I got the one for 3.2 but it seem to work. I didn't find a tun.ko for 3.2.1.
Help
i still havent been able to make openvpn work because trying to install a TUN.KO file always says an error, does anyone have a working tun file for the O3D?
here is it
works with GB and Kernet 2.6.35.7+
I have a Samsung i9008 which is specific for China Mobile 3G TD-SCDMA.
Kernel version: 2.6.29-zeus1
I have compiled a tun.ko file. Installed successfully without any errors (insmod).
But when I connect in VPNC or run vpnc's script, the phone reboot.
I think the procesure of setup tunnel cause phone crash.
I can't find the solution to resolve.
Any suggestion?
I have need to connect via PPPoE and I downloaded a program that allows me to do that, however I think there is some problem with the kernel. In order for that application to works properly, the PPP module in the kernel should be enabled. How do i check it?
Right now I have Siyah kernel

Hello, I am running CM 7 on my LG P500 and would like to connect to a openVPN server on it.
The build-in function doesn´t seem to work, I´ve exported the certificates from my openVPN Server installed them from SD Card on my LGP500 entered all login data but the connection always fails.
OpenVPN Installer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schaeuffelhut.android.openvpn.installer&hl=de
also doesn´t work.
So is there any ROM where openVPN works just fine? Or did I a mistake in the VPN config? (any tutorial for this specific ROM?)
I have tested the connection with a newer Phone with Android 4.x and it works perfectly with the official app.
Thanks
Update:
Also tried the tun.ko installer, but it says that the module is not compatible with the phone.
