[Q] My htc sensation 4g is stuck on clockworkmod recovery v5.0.08 screen!!!! - HTC Sensation

I thought my phone was rooted so i tried flashing the bulletproof rom but nothing happened during the update, so i took the battery out and restarted the phone. And ever since then my phone would just go to the clockworkmod recov screen and do nothing else!! im using the bell sensation 4g unlocked version and i dont know know to do!! please help!

When you go into bootloader. Does it say you're s-off? Pull the battery out and put it back in. Push vol down+power button to get to bootloader.

all i really want is to either get my phone back to the way it was before, i dont mind rooting it. but if rooting it might risk my phone like this again then ill have to pass.

Can I suggest. Coredroid 2.7. Do a full wipe and do a fresh install.

[Q] need help with s on?

i rooted using bubba 's gui got root and s off. I need to take phone back too att.
i tried using ace kit and the s on tool neither will turn s on . when using s on tool everything seems to work find except the power cycle emmc line says failed to load module no such directory. any thoughts about whats going on?
Check out the ace kit forum. I think I read something about that in there. That or soak the phone in water till you can no longer turn it on lol.

Go into the bootloader and see if it still says s-off I had issues and thought it want working once then when I looked it said s-on
Sent through the power of Cthulhu!
What I did to turn the s-on back on was use bubbys one click to push the downgraded Rom to the phone again just like rooting but then run the s-on tool.

There ya go. A water-damaged phone is just as returnable as a non-water-damaged phone. Or not.
And I saw your lol next to it, but still, at least make it a workable alternative.
Thanks guys I appreciate it. I was going to return it to get an atrix, but I tried the the phone at the att store. I really didn't like it. I felt like I had to because the specs. But I'm more content with the inspire.

Good choice. Many people returned the atrix for the inspire.

I still can't get the -s on flag set on my Inspire 4g. I've tried it with the android terminal, adb shell, and bubby's S-ON tool. All of them appear to complete successfully, but I'm still seeing S-OFF in hboot.
I couldn't get anything to work either. I had to run bubbys one click to the point that it boots in the downgraded ROM. Once it booted into the downgraded ROM, I ran the s on tool. Worked perfectly once I did that.

help me get to stock please!

Ok guys here's the deal. I recently rooted and flashed but after coming extremely close to bricking my HTC sensation I want to restore it completely to stock. New phone and I just want to be safe with it. My baseband version is 11.65.36504.00P_11.19.3504.29_2
My build number is 2.08.401.1 can anybody find me the complete correct stock and ruuthing. Also can you tell me if I would just nex to flash them like a normal Rom. Story but Iwould also really like to know if I would get HTCsync back and be able to receive normal updates . Thank you for your time and help
There is a guide in the dev forum same one as rooting. It's a sticky at top and the bit at end on s-on and stock ruu at end is what you want...

G'day champ,
Welcome back, begin with the guides provided below.
1. S-off, unlock, recovery, root & SuperCID
[Guide] to Installing S-off, Unlocking, ClockWork, Root, SuperCID & S-on
2. Install the latest firmware, 3.32 is needed for the latest base.
[Firmware][Mar 30]User-Friendly Firmware 1.17/3.12/3.24,3.30 & 3.32 Unlocked
3. Flash a ROM, Android Revolution HD(ARHD) is the most popular(for good reason)
[ROM] Android Revolution HD 6.5.5 | ICS | High Quality & Performance | 3.32.401.105
After all that, feel free to learn what you will, there's plenty to learn, it just requires reading, and problems, there's guides all over the Sensation forums, generally within the first couple of pages.
Thank you for all that. What is the firmware step for??

For what reasons exactly
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
You can root without doing supercid. Supercid is optional.
It allows you more flexibility though. Useful if you want to flash other areas/carriers rom. Personally I prefer to keep original cid.
Recently I couldn't receive ota update to ICS because I was supercid, then reverted to the original one and suddenly I received the Ota update notice.
It's up to you whether supercid or not and it's not a real concern because you can revert at anytime.
What is your current hboot version? Power off, pull battery, press & hold vol down and power to enter bootloader and read it off.
You have to check your hboot is supported by revolutionary- the tool to give you s-off.
sent from HTC Pyramid using Tapatalk
And the OTA thing... Say i update my phone..will i lose root n such..
Thanks.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
Yes you will lose everything and bootloader will become 1.27 (which is unsupported by revolutionary) Unless you have S-OFF before the update that is.
As for SuperCID, Its optional but HIGHLY recommended, As said before, it allows you to flash any firmware from any region....
If you dont have it, You MUST make sure it matches your CID or it wont boot... It can also be tricky to find one for your region (depending where you are)
It only takes a second, And its permanent and reversible
When i switch from rom to rom... Do i superwipe then flash rom everytime??
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
You can do, but its not necessary, Have a look at the installation guide for the ROM your going to flash.... Usually if you are updating the same ROM wipe isnt needed..
If you are going to a different ROM altogether, A wipe is a MUST

to SuperCID or not to SuperCID, that is the question

Noob alert...
So, my cellular device is S-OFF with Revolutionary and I have 4EXT Recovery in working order. I have also performed a NANDROID Backup.
Do I need to SuperCID, or any thing else before I load my ROM?
The ROM I'm looking at says not to Super Wipe, how do I go about doing the wipe, etc...
Anything else I'm possibly missing?
Your help is greatly appreciated...
...thanks in advance!

Sick & tired of phone restarting

I have tried everything on my wife's phone.
First I rooted didn't work
Tried the paper to push the battery down
Then tried numerous sense rooms didn't work
Then tried s off didn't work
Tried newest firmware didn't work
Matched latest radio with til didn't work
Tried cm9 stable didn't work
I just witnessed the phone restart 4 times without even touching it while on the charger fully charged. I'm tired of stressing about this pos.
What will fix the phone. Please help

I have 3.33 firmware with radio and til matching boot 1.27.1100
On cm9.1 stable which I just flashed a couple days ago but was fine until today. I didn't restore any apps and wiped everything
Thanks

Is it restart even if no app in stalled ?
Well that would be hard to consider cuz there would still be system apps installed I did see dsp manager running even though it was never opened so o deleted that
I also reflashed the firmware to see if that would help

Try an RUU
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
Well the phone first came with gb and was never rooted and then received the ota update which is when problems started happening as I know so did many other people.
So that's when I decided to root it
The only other option I think of at this point is if it keeps happening to just go back to gb.
Does anyone know if there will be a jb update for this phone?
Sent from my HTC myTouch 4g using xda app-developers app
I'm not aware of an official JB update from HTC but I'm using an AOSP JB ROM currently and there are some problems.you have to follow the proper process for your phone.
Flash an RUU
S-OFF the phone
Install custom recovery
Root the phone
Install ROM of your choice
In the process, please don't forget to follow documented processes for each step to the letter or you'll definitely run into problems. Post back here if you get stuck and we'll definitely help you.

Its a problem with the phones motherboard. I called HTC and told them what was happening and the tech on the phone told me to send it in and they would replace my mother board under warranty. He confirmed that they have been receiving many calls with the same problem and there was a defect with the mother board.
So either send it in for warranty or try pulling the contact pins out a little bit and jamming some paper by the battery to give it better contact. That seems to work for me.
I appreciate the feedback but so far for some reason after reflashing the 3.33 firmware package the phone has not acted up since hopefully it doesn't happen again

I'm still struggling to find a rock stable ROM. Are you still running CM 9.1?
Yeah cm9.1 is great I love it better than a sense from its got no lag

So unfortunately the phone is still restarting in the middle of the night. The t mobile my device app tells you when the last time the phone was restarted

in my experience reboot problem is what happen to many sensation user with custom rom u can see that on roms or kernel topics .
for me using the brick kernel with sense rome and bruce cm10 is very stable 1 restart per 2-3 days or one week
Well my problem I believe started when updating to ICS completely stock never rooted. I rooted the pH one thinking that it would solve the problem. I don't remember if the phone ever restarted on GB .
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
Since being on cm10 I haven't seen a restart. The T-Mobile my device app tells u the last time it restarts and so far so good for the past 3 or 4 days. I just think ICS was crap for these phones
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
Spoke too soon restarts but seems to only restart now while charging in the middle of the night and not everyday which is an improvment
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
Well an update not that really anyone cares just for reference I guess.
Finally flashed back to a GB ROM cm7 actually and what do u know all problems have disappeared. No more rebooting. So guess I'm stuck with GB until next device

As you're device is S-OFF, you can use the appropriate RUU for your device that will flash Android 2.3 on your phone. You can download the appropriate RUU from HERE. (If you could tell us more about your device, like run the command: "fastboot getvar all" from the command prompt on your PC and post the outcome here, we could help you finding the proper RUU for your phone.) If you want to try custom roms like cm10-11 or the latest Viper rom, you must update your firmware and hboot. The latest firmware for the Sensation is v3.33 and the latest hboot is v1.27. If I remember well.
