Hi everybody,
after update to Gingerbread the Battery History isn working at my O3D! Every time i open it, it just start to count at one second.. do you have the same problem? Do anybody know a solution?
thanks
BNI
edit: see attachment
Yes, I saw it too. But battery life is good.
hmm .. no idea for fix it?
try delete batterystats.bin and reboot
had same problem
with the leaked versions
now with the oficiall update it is ok
My device shows that I am using battery for over one day without charging! That couldn't be possible because I updated about 3 hours ago! And the phone was charged via usb!
I also got problems with my wlan connection since the update! Connection aborts random times during surfing! That's sucks!!!
Other wlan devices got no problems with holding the connection!

Jep! At standby with wlan/3g + email, whatsapp, facebook, twitter etc sync --> only 3% less Battery in 6 hours, from 81% to 78% =)
same issue here...LG must solve it in next update.
I have the same issue (using Acura V5 and their V2.1 Boot 1.18 Ghz at the moment)
The earlier GB ROMs had that problem too.
I got the same issue

Funnily my mobile is showing thay battery is on since 4 days where as i bought the mobile yesterday and i only have opened the seal of the box and battery and updated it to GB...lol
I updated with official lg updater and don't have such a problem (edit: nope, i have the same issue and it showed up after some time)
and I have diffident problem with battery history. Can you instal spare parts and check 'battery history'? For me it FCs. The same if I dial *#*#4636#*#* and tap on the battery history.
*Swyped in 3D *
Yes, after installing official GB i have the battery history problem. Somtimes shows few hours last charge even if just unplug it or somethings sticks to few secs even if i've the phone on for many mins.
Even wiped the battery status in recovery but to no avail.

Hello : Im runing core2 on my wizard . After upgrade a starnge problem hapens .
When i charge my phone to 100% the power starts to go down...its 1 MINUTE to drain.
If I dont charge to 100 % everything is ok.
HELP...
There is no powerdrain on Core. It has the best battery life for long time.
Please be sure that you don´t have:
- a corrupted Extended.Rom
- no third party program running in background
For me there are no problems with battery - it even last for 48hours and more.
The only program i have is spb weather.
I already updated twice.
Thnks
yes the problem exist with g4 device and ext_rom (my was not corrpted and drain)
but i think i solve this, need just one day to be sure of this and i will post here
How do we say that i have a corrupted ExtROM? is it if its unusable? or if you see a unknown charcters (&*W%#@$&) files inside the ExtROM?..
if you only can see this bug files and folders yes, its corrupted

When I first looked at your name I thought it said GrandWizard. Where I'm from in the south, that ain't good.
If you have a corrupt extended ROM, just flash your latest carrier ROM and then reflash your choice of WM6 ROM's using whatever method works for your G4. It should be OK after that.
Thnks but mine is G3...

I kinda disagree...I myself have probably the worse battery drain ever, but have learned to live with it, since my MDA is usually attached to an charger majority of the day anyway.... I have an G3 device myself, and have used many, many, many different roms, and only till I got to WM6 not just Xplorer 1.x or 2.x but all of them i have had battery drain, but im not tripping on it, its not that serious as I say my phone stays on charge most of the day.
Just last night for the first time I didnt charge it over night, it was at 83% before going to sleep around 1 something in tha morning, woke up at 9am and I was at 47% battery life, device in sleep mode and recieved 4 emails and 2 missed calls. I have read that power drain may have something to do with storage card and email attachments, but not sure of my case, not too serious of a problem for me to change.
Iulian, you can please pack our test from yesterday and upload for everyone here test?
at now i dont have anymore problem with drain! so i think my crazy ideia realy solved the problem

I have done a bit of digging to what were the changes between 10D and 10K apparently LG have been a bit too generous trying to save battery by letting the cpu drop to 300 Mhz too often resulting in reboots when some tasks that require more Mhz become active and the cpu can't cope resulting in the device rebooting. Another Sugggestion is that the cpu voltage is dropping too low and is unable to cope with the load. My Phone is currently being repaired. According to LG the phone is faulty, I doubt it as almost everyone in this forum is experiencing reboots and it is impossible that all the phones are faulty.

Will this create any problem in updating
I have updated to DDKP3 via Kies. Did a Factory reset as well after upgrade. But my Battery sucks. It last only 11 hours, i have turned off wi-fi, gps, background data, auto sync. Display @ minimal.
When i see the battery usage,
Android OS --> 38%
Cell Standby --> 26%
Phone Idle --> 11%
Android System --> 7%
Voice Calls --> 4%
I have even installed Juice Defender. But battery performance is a moron, far worse than Froyo i had. I am clueless what to do now.

No, as all the "default" apps will be re-installed during the upgrade, so you'll need to remove them again afterwards.
i too updated using Kies, first i flashed my phone with GB 2.3.5 European update, but when i connected to kies it doesnt show the update so i went to service center and get my phone restored to default froyo.. after that when i get back home, i just updated via Kies, it was damn easy, just 8 min i was done. its far better than Froyo, damn faster, yeah but battery sucks in this. Very true

I can confirm that I too am facing the same problem of WIFI connect/disconnect every few minutes or so after I upgraded my SAMSUNG GALAXY S I9003 to I9003DDKP3 - GINGERBREAD.XWKPG
Its really annoying... hope Samsung fixes the bug soon...
I personally didn't find much difference in GB... I was hoping for at least a change in MUSIC PLAYER.. and its WIDGET... but there was no difference... is it something to do with SAMSUNG??
Anyways... I can live with all small issues but WIFI is a big bummer... hoping for a fix... any one???

Big issue after gb update
I was super happy to see the GB update for my Galaxy SL via. KIES. Post update (from KIES) everything seemed to work fine.
Its an old habit of mine to leave the phone for recharging overnight. I did the same on Friday & Saturday morning was an instant disaster.
I noticed that my phone was swinging between the Samsung Logo & the splash screen & was it doing this repeatedly. Since I could not stop this I simply removed the battery & re-started the phone.
To my utter dismay when the phone started it asked me Language et al. It was then that I noticed that all data was wiped clean on the phone's internal memory & even the SD card! I thus lost all my contacts, SMS, calendar entries, pictures, Videos basically it was back to like when I bought it on day 1. I actually lost all my videos & pictures since I had missed taking a back up (My Bad!!!!!)
Today morning when I kept my phone under observation I noticed that the whole procedure repeats as soon as the battery is completely recharged. Again everything got wiped off (luckily not much to lose).
This is seriously a huge issue for me since I am now not confident of leaving my phone on charging & I am dead sure of losing my data again & again.
What do I do now?
I also do same thing recharge while whole night but had this problem.

Hi everyone, my desire s is acting strange since few days back.. it keeps on restarting for no reason. At first I thought its due to kernel updates to modified kernel 3. But then I installed reaper gingerbread. It restarted when I opened camera.
Then I installed Nik's project x . Still same problem sometimes when I open camera or other heavy application.
It restarts continuously 5-6 times without completely booting and battery drains to 10-15% from 80-90% within 5 minutes..
I've not got this problem when in charging mode..
I'm now using ice_ds 4.3
If anyone have same problem before , is there a solution to this?
Thanks in advance..

I get this too on all custom ROMS.. sometimes if I knock the phone a certain way it resets.. so it must be hardware related.
Can you let me know what your 'SOLUTION' is? All I see if the cause. Thx

my solution: buy new battery :laugh:
Put a bit of paper between the battery and the holder clip, that fixed it for me to keep the battery in place.
I have a problem with my sensation for a few weeks already. It will suddenly shutdown without any warning or whatsoever after I used apps for a few minutes even my battery is high. After I booted my sensation to sim card password, the battery suddenly drops to 3% then shutdown again before I able to key in my sim card password. I have found a similar thread at the Galaxy S II thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1814466 but not sure it's my battery problem or hardware problem. I have already rooted my device and currently running on Carbon Rom for sensation. Previously I am using albinoman887's CM10.2 rom also facing the same problem. Anyone facing this problem or found solution to this problem?

The most likely cause is the battery. Check it out with another one. You yourself mention that you face the same issue on another ROM.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. May I know is it put a paper on top of the battery to make it stick more to the bottom? Btw, I also faced battery drain problem. The battery percentage drains very fast even I just using normal apps like Facebook. The battery percentage drops 2% at a time.

first to see whats draining your battery you need to get wake lock programs from appstore
2nd 2% for one minute of facebook on a mobile device is very normal , I have a newer HTC One X phone drops 5% just to check facebook for one minute on mobile network data
I've had the same problem and putting a piece of paper behind the battery solved it.
About the battery drain, I recommend you to download Gsam battery monitor and see if certain apps drain battery more than it supposed to. 2 percents per minute is really fast. You may also try to reinstall your kernel with different settings.

Will try it as soon as possible. Thanks for the suggestion. :fingers-crossed:
By the way, I have a question here. Why my version-main is 9.99.999.999? Is there any problem with it? I have tried using the Gsam battery monitor and found out that my kernel drains up quite a lot. After I have change the kernel then the kernel is not the main problem already but now my phone radio is draining 5X% or 6X% of my phone battery. Is that normal? I attached the getvar in the attachment.

I do not think the original battery. Because I'm using 1.6.3 Vipers Vipers and 3:13. Not because of the battery, it happens when flash CM10.2, Vipers ROM back now. Everything has ended
