you want to flash the red nebula kernel on the sgs2? your post is confusing, but if that is what you are asking, you are in for a world of hurt if you flash a captivate kernel on a sgs2
Sounds like you should stay away from flashing ANYTHING. doesn't sound like you have a clue whatsoever about what your doing. Lol.

looking for other kernals that are safe and better than Reorient_Kernel_1.1 that is told to be used in installation? any help is appreciated....
I use Talons 0.1.6.
Lets you apply an Ext4 lagfix. Combine that with 1.2 Ghz OC, and it's blazin'.
How about I9000 reoriented vG.1.2 05.10.2011
1.2 is way better than 1.1

Either XCal's latest re-oriented stock, or the latest Talon.
As anyone around here will tell you, there is no "best" anything. What works best for you, won't for someone else.
At the moment there is a certain dearth of Samsung compatible 2.3.X kernels. Back in the day we had a number of different 2.2.X kernels, but for now, Existz is kind of keeping everyone alive with his Talon kernel.
There are also a few developers working on CM7 kernels, but those will not work with Samsung derived 2.3.3 ROMs (which everything that's not CM7 is).

Which version of 1.2 is it? I've always used CWM to install kernels.
For JVB based ROMS

Just curious which is the best, and which are compatible. I would like to do some mild overclock settings - I've heard about Infusion-GB - is it the same as infusion 2.0?

Yes basically. I'm ocd to 1600 smooth
infused infuse helping other infused infuses?
If you want OC, Infusion-GB is the only choice.
There are three kernel choices at the moment:
The one that came with Infused (fairly outdated)
My "Daily Driver" (no OC, just undervolt)
Infusion-GB
Sometime I'll be doing another rebuild, and doing a "kangback" of all of the CM7 kernel commits. Not sure when, but gtg keeps pushing me to hop back and do some kernel catchup... I'm hoping I can Nandroid between Infused and CM7 reasonably easily.
Hopefully in not too long netarchy will release something. He was waiting for Gingerbread, and right after Rogers released it he caught a nasty cold that had him out of commission for almost two weeks.
Thanks guys, I couldn't find the infusion-gb link - can anyone direct me?

If your phone is hanging/freezing, your voltage settings need tuning.
Somewhere in the Infusion v1 thread there's a tutorial on hunting for the right settings. You can't just use someone else's settings - every device is different. If they weren't, Samsung would sell it as a 1.6 GHz CPU running at lower voltages.
Some people may not be able to hit 1.6 at all.
I flashed a new rom last night, and all my volume settings are maxed, and the earpiece sounds low and muffled. There's been no prior issues until I flashed the new rom. Any ideas?

Go back to your previous kernel, Samurai 1.3, or try boogs kernel or even Corn Kernel.........Based on you signature and your "latest" flash list the difference is the Red Nebula kernel.
Sounds like a kernel issue.
Yeah, it's the kernel. I recently switched to samurai, and I noticed my volumes went up.

Was thinking about getting one of those overclocking apps, like one of these https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrummy.droidx.overclock&feature=search_result
I'm running Infused 2.3 and Entropys Kernel, would it work? Or do I need to have a different kernel or ROM for it to work?
You need an overclocked kernel this is the only overclocked kernels

Im looking for: 1000MHz CM7 OC Ultra Kernel v1.3 (HV) (Intergrated), but the link in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431393 is broken.
I need it for myn g3. When i unlock the phone, its freezes for a couple of seconds I im using now Kyrillos v10.
Maybe the 1000MHz CM7 OC Ultra Kernel v1.3 (HV) make the diffence.
You should go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539922 The kernel is listed there as well and for what I see, the link there is fine.
