Hi all,
i'm new to these flashing things, and i need some help.
my qtek 8300 has a quite old software version and i need to upgrade it since qtek says that they dont have new versions :| my rom version is 1.0.7.0
so i need a idiot proof guide to do this and a good room, i would prefer a rom without modifications, a default rom..

Login to qtek website, download the ROM, and install it, from the website, usually is one installer, just run it

problem is it says my imei is not from a brightpoint device.. so i'm not authorized.. the Portuguese's qtek says they don't have updates to me so i really need other way do do ir..

second: download the rom you wish to use and install it same way as you installed hardspl!

I tried to follow all steps in USPL guide but still the same....
I have for now the ROM WM 6.1 from LeFab47 alias Fireburned
Guys... I had the same problem in my new VOX...(didnt have this issue in the older one)....
Jockey was considerate enough to point the following to me...... Used it and everything was absolutely fine....No error 270 etc...
There is one alternative to application unlock your phone. To properly application unlock the phone perform the steps as suggested to me by another friendly customer:
1. go to

2.Run MoDaCo_SPV_E650_de_Brand___Fix_Pack.PREP.CAB on the device
3. Run MoDaCo_SPV_E650_de_Brand___Fix_Pack_0.5.CAB on the device and
reboot.
This will solve your problem...if it doesnt....lemme know ..

Just te be sure, i must follow steps in this order right ?
1°) Launch MoDaCo_SPV_E650_de_Brand___Fix_Pack.PREP.CAB
2°) Launch MoDaCo_SPV_E650_de_Brand___Fix_Pack_0.5.CAB on the device
3°) Restart
4°) Launch uspl_116_jockyw.bat
5°) Update ROM with "vox-USPL"
6°) Update ROM with custom ROM

after step 3...
try running the application unlock sda...
maybe will solve your problem

And when i launch the uspl, my vox shutdown and i restart it but nothing.

It's no risk, do USPL as described in the sticky (or the Wiki) and then flash any ROM you want (for the S710 of course)

Hello, I bought on the german e-bay a mobile device called Acer neotouch s200, which is in german language without other languages like english, etc... I have read that if I want to get english language, I need to (re)flash it. Currently, the device has S200_3.003c.00_DE ROM. I do not know exactly if it is better to get the default ROM or the newest. To flash it, I downloaded Acer S200 beta 3 flashing tool, ran Acer_EUU.exe, but it stopped before updating the device (this was made on my desktop computer with Windows XP). I also tried it on my laptop with Windows 7, but the Acer_EUU.exe "stopped working". Can you please give me any advice how to solve my problem? I read it is better to get the default ROM, because it reduce the battery status, but it has got bugs.

Iam new here and not allowed to post in the right forum, so I`ll give it a try here. Hope you dont mind.
I recently flashed my Samsung Omnia 7 with this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1499102 using the new DFT MAGLDR for Samsung Windows Phone devices & the DFT flash tool. Before I flashed the ROM I didn't notice the I was actually still on Mango 7740 (no Updates available for my device) and the ROM I flashed is actually 8107.
Here is the thing: Zune refuses now to restore my backup data I made with this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346030, because the version of the new ROM is higher than the original.
Now the reason i primarily flashed and unlocked ROM is because I wanted to extract the SMS from my device that have a high value to me and I wanted to store them properly. Now my SMS are gone.
I dont now, if this works, but I thought of this:
Can somebody dump me or send me a dumped 7740 ROM for the (preferably unlocked) Omnia 7, so I can restore my backup and get to my SMS again?
Or does anybody have another idea how I could restore my SMS from the Zune backup?

my friend have a AT&T Huawei u8652 with available languages: English/Spanish/Chinese. He wanted Portuguese language.
I installed cyanogen_u8650-benru rom, change to Portuguese but some stuff are in Spanish and he didnt liked the rom :S
So I decided to go back to original rom...but...can't find stock rom for
AT&T Huawei u8652
I read (a lot!) that u8650 is the "father" of u8652 so the rom of u8650 must work in u8652. So i downloaded HUAWEI_U8650_Android_2.3.5_V100R001C151B863SP02 and prepared for update.
When I update from SD Card, almost in the end (95%) i get "Update Failed".
Despite that, the phone boots ok and it seems to work fine.
So why do I get "Update Failed" ? And why there is no firmware for this u8652?

Try to make a wipe
Download the rom again maybe not quite all drew well (unlikely)
Before installation, I recommend to make a backup of the system (if not done already)
I got the same problem debranding U8652 with german rom.
I tried different Roms (Stock) for 8650... but only the german one works, even if I get Error in the end of Upgrading.
I found no answer why it`s so hard to debrand this mobile... other stock roms stuck in the beginning.
And the german rom has a "vendor"-dir... flashing of this is not possible (even if the pdf included says how)...
Any answers?!
