Hello, I bought on the german e-bay a mobile device called Acer neotouch s200, which is in german language without other languages like english, etc... I have read that if I want to get english language, I need to (re)flash it. Currently, the device has S200_3.003c.00_DE ROM. I do not know exactly if it is better to get the default ROM or the newest. To flash it, I downloaded Acer S200 beta 3 flashing tool, ran Acer_EUU.exe, but it stopped before updating the device (this was made on my desktop computer with Windows XP). I also tried it on my laptop with Windows 7, but the Acer_EUU.exe "stopped working". Can you please give me any advice how to solve my problem? I read it is better to get the default ROM, because it reduce the battery status, but it has got bugs.

I followed the instructions to upgrade to a Portuguese ROM

At first place I got an error 120 country error
Then I tried MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe like i read in this forum.
I read that I could use an option in RUU.conf called [CHECKCEID_TYPE]=1
But with or without this option I get the Error 150 Rom Upgrade Utility Error saying this is not the apropriate rom upgrade version (with MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe).
When i use ROMUpgradeUt.exe I get the error 101. Connection error.
Right now my PDA is saying that is connected by usb, with 1.02 below without any blacklight.
I unchecked the USB connections but in my case is in windows mobile device center because i use windows vista business.
Please help me because i realy need this pda working.

its still in usb or serial mode witout backlite

i have a qtek s110 too and i'm pondering the upgrade to the port rom version.
i have been doing some research i think that the rom upgrade can only be done through windows xp.
have you both done it on vista?
that might be the problem...
i don't want to take any risks on doing it, so i'm still investigating...
well i updated or chaged the language on my magician last week also to portugees rom for a girlfrend with portugees background i know and she does not know english that good
from the opperating system i got the same errors as you guys discribe but when i did put it into bootloader mode ran the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe en the upgrade whent smooth just try to run the upgrade again your device is already in bootloader mode as far as i understand i did the upgrade in XP not sure the same trick will work in Vista

i'm new to these flashing things, and i need some help.
my qtek 8300 has a quite old software version and i need to upgrade it since qtek says that they dont have new versions :| my rom version is 1.0.7.0
so i need a idiot proof guide to do this and a good room, i would prefer a rom without modifications, a default rom..

Login to qtek website, download the ROM, and install it, from the website, usually is one installer, just run it

A have a strange problem with my HD2. I've installed that (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953078) firmware after HD2_Updatable_XBmod_Yuki_v1.zip firmware. So I made it because of language (wnted to have my native russian lang ) After some time I decided to go bach to win 6.5 and I couldn't!
First of all when I'm trying to instal the original firmware it writes me Invalid model ID (244) I think that it could be because of name change in firmware, but the instructions say that this version of WP can be easely removed by Original Rom...
Than I couldn't reinstall magldr 13 the same problem with the model...
Please help! I've already tried everything that I could... All possible Roms... even the same Rom... and it writes me some mistakes.
The installed WP7 works... without SDcard...
May be someone knows what is the problem of that case? Please help (I'm a new one here so I can't write messages in the mentioned forum link)
