[Q] MMS keys in Registry - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I have an HTC HD7.
I can't send MMS because the Connection Setup from HTC doesn't support my provider.
I did set my APN manually in the settings.
I'm running an interop unlocked Deepshining ROM so I can access the registry.
However, I don't know what keys I need to change.
Does someone know the keys?
Thanks in advance

MMS Setting for HTC Touch Pro - Vodafone

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have the MMS configuration settings for the HTC Touch Pro on the Vodafone network? I have tried the Diamond settings but with no luck. Quite annoying having to login to vodafone site each time I get a mms.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
...Diamond settings?
The HTC Network Wizard (Connection Setup) should do you the trick for GPRS and MMS settings; its in Settings/Connections/Connection Setup.
Hi,
I meant the touch diamond. Trying the connection wizard now, wish me luck!
remember that once you have the settings on your device, you need to send an MMS from your device before you will be able to receive them

Interesting, never heard that before, but it would explain a thing or two!

[Q] SMS/MMS Merged, MMSC Settings Missing

Hi All.
Got a BT-branded HTC s710 and unlocked it to use on Orange. Managed to set up GPRS for Internet and now trying to work out MMS sending and receiving. I've set some settings in the Connections part, but I feel I need to select something in the MMSC settings - which I can't find. I know where they should be, but...
The problem is, my SMS and MMS accounts are merged. I don't get this because I've not seen it anywhere else - I was using the SPV E650 before this one, and they were separate. So when I go to Account Settings... well there's just nothing about MMSs. Even from within an MMS message, there is nothing to change the MMSC.
What do I do? Is this really the problem or doesn't MMSC selection matter? Does anybody happen to know where to find the MMSC settings on a crazy Vox that doesn't segregate SMS and MMS?
Any help greatly appreciated.

[Q] MMS on windows phone--Need help

Hi Everyone,
I have searched online, contacted T-Mobile, HTC and can't find what i need.
Using T-Mobile HD7 on Wind Network (Canada), everything works fine except MMS, i need to add second APN and information for Wind, but seems T-Mobile left that part of the phone locked, there's no way to add second APN or modify it. Since wind uses different settings for Internet-MMS i have no way of getting MMS to work. Searching online i found many asking the same questions, even phones on different networks. Seems T-mobile not alone.
At this point considering all options, including loading Mango from different carrier if necessary, question is-- Do any of you have Mango installed that gives option adding second APN? Any other alternative you may know to get MMS to work?
Thanks
You could make a provxml that modifies the registry manually if your on mango.. Ot if your on nodo and unlocked you can installer the registry editor and modify them yourself. Its not a tmobile thing its wp7 in general. I'm on simple mobile. They have those settings in HTC connection setup but not for wind I just checked.
Sent from my HD7 using Board Express
Thanks for the reply.
That's what i was afraid, by the sounds of it HTC is no hurry to update the App to support Wind or Mobilicity. I guess i have to revert back to 7004 (i'm on 7392) and try the registry hack. Do you know if the registry changes stays after updating the phone back to NoDo-7392? Mango? From what i got from another thread, as long as i don't run HTC connection tool, i should be ok, right? I know many questions, only now starting searching on options to hack the phone, see you did great work on updating to Mango-- Thanks
Try this. Basically this tells the phone to re-get the mms settings from your provider. It worked for me on AT&T.

[Q] How to change MMS settings manually?

Hi all and thanks in advance for the help.
My probles seems obviuos, but I didn't find a solution yet.
I have a HTC Titan (Mango) and didn't play with any hacks/unlocking/Chevron.
It self-congigured to the settings of my carrier - MTS Ukraine and everything works fine, but MMS.
The problem seesm due t the fact that I have a very old contract with the carrier and they provide the different MMS settings for the customers like me. Unfortunatelly, the carrier profile writers always forget about this fact - I had the same issue with Windows 6.5, but it was easy to correct by the manual settings.
So is there anyway to play with the MMS settings at Mango (HTC Titan) or should I switch to android device after about 13 years of Windows CE/ Pocket PC/Mobile/Phone... ?
I cannot change he settings with carrier without losing my current number, which I hate to do.
Please help!
Yevgen
