[MOD] Tweaked Auto Brightness - HTC Sensation

Here: Brightness Tweak
New: Brightness Tweak Weak + EQS by Blackdog 2nd post
Hi all,
as I wanted to save battery I first turned off Auto - Brightness. But as you can imagine it isn't as comfortable like the Auto Brightness.
Thus I decided to make a Mod for my favorite Rom: AR HD
Now I'm using the 4.1.7 and the Mod works very good so far.
For now there is only one version, the hard one. That means that I changed the levels very low so that the screen is a lot darker than with the normal settings

I made one for the 3.6.x and the 4.1.x Android Revolution HD. For the reason that I use the 4.1.x version I wasn't able to check weather the other one works as good. I hope some of you can check that and report their results.
For those who want the old settings back there is also a one with the original setting.
Soon there will be a weaker tweak for those of you who don't like a too dark screen
Install:
1. make Backup just to be secure
2. flash via Recovery
This will hopefully be continued soon

Doing a back-up and will flash after that- ARHD 3.6.7

FC when going into Settings > Display
Reverting to backup.
Vielen dank.

Does this remove the battery percentage icons? Because now i have a package that does this brightness thing and add the battery percentage icon...

This mod just changes the auto brightness level. But it could be that you have to flash your battery mod again.
I'm not 100% sure with that. Just make a Backup and try

Hi, I installed your mod on ARHD 4.1.7 (wiped cache and Dalvik) and it kicks out my battery stock mod !
Edit : I reflashed my battery stock mod and its wipes your mod...

Exactly, that's why i've asked. There was another user who created these mods but combined those with a battery mod otherwise it would wipe the other out.

But I think that it's no big deal, cause we're flashing all day long and what's the problem with flashing the tweak first an the other mods after it?
I think it is no good idea to combine it with battery or any other mod, cause there will always be someone who doesn't like especially this one and has to flash another one over it.

Because both mods modify systemui.apk

that nor completely rigth, cause my mod only changes the framework
but i think I understand yout problem. The problem is that you can't have both of them cause when you flash each in sequence the first change is overwritten?
In you opinion, I should offe both of them in one flashable zip ?

Yes exactly, hehe wrong apk. Both modify the framework.apk, so that's why the one overrides the other.

Mind posting your array.xml or posting the numbers you used . The graph looks better than Sloppy's original version, which was too dark for me. Thanks!

Do u find its too dark outside?? Sloppy, settings worked fairly well for me (abeit a bit darker than I'd lije) , but i did notice the jumps

I experienced the same problem and also found a solution for me.
I 've Made a mod with Battery + EQS + Tweak
And my purpose is to share this with all of you. There is only a little problem I try to solve atm. Cause the EQS I used is not mine and I have to ask wether I can use it.
So I hope that I'm able to offer you this mod to

CF BENCH
I like the brightness tweak but for some reason it renders CF Bench inoperable. all other benchmarks work. Any explanations???

Any chances of one that uses the Gingerbread green colors instead of that aqua blue color? Perhaps also with a nexus-style boot animation ?

I'll recolor the 80% to 100% icons so they match the theme sometime very soon; Plus nexus bootanim.zip; sometime in the next few days, i just made an update though.
Updated [OP]
I'm getting boot loops...I've been flashing it with cmr but i'm constantly getting boot loops
Everybody remember to clear out both cache and dalvik-cache (under advanced) before rebooting?
And be aware, the first boot takes the very longest. As long as the boot screen doesn't actually loop to the beginning, I would wait. And post your wait times here if applicable.

i've flashed it with no problems but that may not mean much coming from the guy who made it....I updated this rom about 4 times in one day and i did that with three others as well so there is a possibility i messed something up.... i'll try and flash the uploaded copy again just to make sure i didn't miss anything
EDIT: i just flashed it again after a dalvik cache and cache partition clear and it booted up perfectly fine for me. I'm not sure what your issue is I need more testers.
EDIT: tried downloading the .ZIP from the server and that flashed fine as well so it's not a corrupt upload either.

For anybody who's wondering, I'm running this as my default ROM and am very pleased with it. The kernel makes your phone overclockable but I don't think it's enabled by default.
The only bad thing about the look and feel, I just realized today, is that the dialer is not themed! Oh no!
Also, have you included b_randon14's mod in. this?

Good Call! LOL I'll get right on it there will be a patch for themed dialer and green battery icon later tonight.
Then later, later tonight the ROM will get re-uploaded with icon changes & b_randon14's MOD's i was just waiting for his permission to use his work.
EDIT: Skipped right to the ROM Sorry i'll make a flash-able ZIP if you still want one otherwise you can just flash the ROM over itself and get the update
Updated OP!!!
Themed Dialer & fixed battery icons to green from blue between 75-100%.
Weird, I never much minded the dialer, probably because the Swype I was running uses a blue trace line (although it is otherwise white on black like the rest of the phone). Looks like the new Triumph is as sexy as possible now!
E.g. I'll be back soon to complain

Ok someone try this. Go in to settings and then hit home. Does it go directly home or do you get the loading screen for a few seconds? just did a wipe and install of this and the OPS cpu tool, titanium backup(did not restore anything yet) and nothing else. Re booted and still loads when i hit home from settings. I'm coming from 1.88 ruu so please advise what base you were on before this rom. Thanks

Ok, I have a few questions. If I'm on stock 1.82 can I just flash via cwm? Should I wipe storage, dalvik and all that then flash? And lastly I saw in the screen shot this rom has the battery %, is there any way to disable this? Sorry for all the noobish questions but coming from my brute of an atrix where I wouldn't hesitate to flash anything, flashing things on the one X seems a bit finicky. I suppose that's what comes with having I actually care about rather than a toy to flash each and every rom under the sun

[MOD] CircleMod AiO - APM - EQS - AutoBrightness - Battery - Statusbar - [upd. 10.6.]

CircleMod - All-in-One Mod-Pack
This Mod-Pack is themed with artwork based on the work of Holm. More about him and CirclesMod on his WebSite: http://circlesmod.dk/
For this mod-compilation I combined:
Statusbar-Mod with 100% Battery-Icons
APM by Dunc001
Stock EQS of Android 4.2.2
centered clock mod
2 different autobrightness settings, one with moderately lower settings, one with aggressive settings
All components are themed with CircleMod Icons in 3 different colors (for now).
In contrary to my OneX mod I have not included MIUI batterybar here, as there is a nice app-version now available here on xda.
To select the desired options you have a convenient Aroma-Installer at your disposal
Screenshots: Statusbar of white version, APM of blue version, EQS of red version

Jotha,
For the One X you had a great battery mod called Battery_circle_OneX_3.27.1_aroma_by_jotha.zip which changed color the more the phone went down in battery. Blue->Green->Yellow->Orange->Red based on the battery %. Is this mod going to come to the One as well? I can't seem to find it and this is my favourite battery option.

Thank you, very much appreciated . The psd are allways appreciated, then I would even make the batteries new. I did all icons new for the higher res of One, except the batteries. Those are only scaled from my OneX mod. I was too lazy to make them from scratch. With psd I might rethink

Sorry Jotha, no problems of bad flash; have you tried to install after Trickdroid tweaks version 27/3? Anyway thanks a lot for your amazing job as always. Maybe I've to install on a clean Trickdroid 2.2.2

Yes I did. I don't see Trickdroid causing this. Maybe another mod you used. But I also experienced bad flashes with Aroma Installer on One over and over. the flash doesn't complete or just jumps back to CWM. So I flashed again and all was well

I tried to flash a second time over the 27/3 tweaks but again stuck on boot; I reinstalled twickdroid 2.2.2 without tweaks and it works
I am running the (blue) mod successful on ARHD v3.4 at the moment. Flashing was a bit strange though cause the phone immediately rebooted while still being inside the process of flashing (no 100 % success state). Yet it all went fine. So in conclusion: it can work, even with a bad flash to me ^^
Edit: I flashed it after a fresh install of ARHD 3.4 with one full boot and no mod like battery mod installed during the ARHD setup.

Well, always where the action is . Although the action leaves still a lot to be desired yet. But with only some 10000 devices delivered that was to be expected.

Excellent. Another Sense 5 rom. Off to flash.
All right, after having flashed this I can say it's a good Rom but it's lacking a lot of customization I've gotten so fondly accustomed to using Viper Rom - like choosing and reordering the status bar toggles, status bar, dock and drawer transparency and customizing, not to mention the 3 column app drawer which seems like such a waste of screen real estate.
I don't mean to sound overly negative, this seems like a great first step towards what can become an excellent Sense 5 Rom.

I am back to using Venom but that occasionally crashes Sense and I was hoping for a similarly tweakable Sense 5 rom that doesn't have the same issue.

This ROM will never be in the same custom as the Viper, but thanks to this here does not have a lot of bugs Viper. Everything works smoothly and steadily

I am sorry to hear that, but i have been using Viper C2 5.1.0 for over a month and nothing has ever crashed on my VilleC2.
Before i install a full and different rom from the one i was using before i always wipe everything including internal SD (after backing it up)

Might it be due to the tweaks I did to the launcher, ie: transparent dock and status bar, hidden header in app drawer, some hidden status bar notifications, on-screen menu button and maybe something else I forgot. Maybe these somehow cause Sense to crash.
I also always wipe cache, dalvik, data, system, android secure (in recovery and then again in Aroma) before flashing the Rom, but Sense still force closes.

Cheers! Appreciated!
Thank you! Works great, I chose Lollipop Green, Having a Revert to Stock is also amazing, no more re-flashing rom!
Just letting you be aware in 1.3 Aroma still says 1.2, and also as a suggestion maybe you should put in the thread what build number these are based off of? its possible in the future these could have issues on Sense 7 and someone flash them, just saying.

Ok cheers, I'll update the version number and I'll add the build number in the thread too. It probably best for me to make it clear it's for sense 6 lol.
I am a big fan of the lollipop green as well (not sure if that's what it's called or not) but it looks good.
