hello everyone !! Iv finally decided to Ditch my TYTN2 and get the LG ks20
but I hear so many mixed reviews !! many claim that LG ks20 also does not contain the Drivers that HTC dint include ...is it true ??
2.I dont use the keyboard or GPS that much so KS20 should be a better choice ??
3.Does the framerate lag in games when the screen is pressed ???(tytn2 sucks)
any help will be greatly appreciated

Hello everyone!
Due to the fact that my Magician has sadly bit the dust, I have to make my choice now: HTC HD2 vs. Acer NeoTouch vs. Motorola Milestone (Droid).
The most important advantage of the HTC is definitely...you...the XDA devs As long as I know that specialists developing on OS (WM/Android) i can be sure that my device will not be that old fashioned in the next few years and its worth buying.
An important question for me is: can i take it that there will be improvements with the neotouch in the near future? WM Roms, perhaps a ported android 2.0 rom and so on...certainly i know that the devs are specialized on HTC devices, i´m just aksing because the neotouch has nearly the same specs like the HD2...
I would be really thankful for your opinions...
Well mate want a quick answer...id say youl have to wait and see, first android requires a linux kernel inorder to run, this kernel is somewhat started already for our qsd8250 cpus but were missing haret support, withough haret its almost imposible to run a linux kernel on our winmo devices, that been said, custom roms are already been cooked by hdubli heres a link to hes video, this means well have custom roms in a a matter of days, maybe less, and finally snapdragon based devices will most likely have windows mobile 7 beta roms since windows mobile 7 will be on wince 7.0 kernel which the snapdragon already supports, and bro trust me the acer neotouch is worth every single dollar, i mean you have to have in your hands to understand how fast and beatifull the devices is, its just unreal, the build quality is perfect, the screen looks gourgeous, n other words if your planing on upgrading to a new device and dont have 800-1000$ to spend on a htc leo, spend 500$ for the acer neotouch you wont regret it trust me.
Hope this helps you in your quest of getting a new device =]
Sincerly

+1000. I was covered by rafyvitto 100%. I love my Acer.
Hey
i gotta say i'm very shocked of this , the awesome phone with very high spec. and a projector , i rarely find its name on a blog/forum or anything
it didn't get that beloved attention , every phone got attention , Desire , X10 , Galaxy S , even the bada-Wave , and even the china-only LePhone , and even lower spec'd phones like Legend , X10 Mini/Pro , and HD Mini ..
i'm not here to be a fanboy or anything , i just find it unusual that everybody ignores the spec-wised Beam , i just came'd with one question , whats wrong with the samsung beam ?
Regards , Mike
I don´t know about another sites, but for XDA, we have a long time tradition being exclusively of HTC devices, earlier this year this changed and opened to another brands (personally not very happy with it, as it´s too crowded now)
So even if we now deal with non HTC devices, the members and forum orientation still being in majority to HTC devices.
That could be one of the reasons you don´t see that device here.
Personally and respectfully I don´t really care for samsung devices...
I want to purchase a phone but I am not sure which one to take-
here are my questions and help me clear these issues..ty..
I want to purchase a new android based touchscreen phone and I have narrowed down to htc desire, acer liquid ferrari and samsung galaxy S
I know all of these phones cater to a different niche altogether but I have a few basic questions regarding them... Are all of these having 3.5mm jacks ?
Can their ROMs be updated to Froyo especially for liquid e ferrari ?
Also which phone has the best sunlight legibility ?
Here are few specific questions -
Question 1 - htc desire is a gr8 all round fone.. So after doing an official FOTA from htc india website..
Can I root the phone and customize it with apps and other things then wat is d probability of messing things up ? And is it gonna run stable with a 16gb class 4 or above micro sdhc card ?? (sandisk or kingston)
Question 2 - acer liquid e ferrari is highly stylish phone and i love it to bits for the great paint job and everything.. But it has lots of useless apps and preloaded junk..
Can it be rooted and then flashed to a custom froyo based ROM ??? Is it possible coz no F0TA updates r there for froyo on this model by acer..
Question 3 - in casee of samsung galaxy s i've heard that its lag is reduced by rooting the phone and applying a lag fix.. Will this work with a custom froyo firmware ?
Thanks for patiently reading this and answering to these queries..
PS - sorry for the weird formatting was typed with nokia n97 in opera mini....
You could answer all of your own questions with a few minutes (maybe an hour or so) of using google and youtube. I just did a quick search around not even really trying and found out more information on some of this stuff than you even asked for.
Hmmm i agree but still i need some more help...

Click to collapse
i agree that lot of stuff can be found if i properly research but i've got my university mid term exams going on so you can imagine im busy studying to improve my grades...
Also opening heavy webpages with a 2G network on an average speed of 120 kbps on this lousy n97 is tough...
I would greatly appreciate if you could 'rally a few specialists on the forum to my help'
It would save me a lot of time and tension...
Or you could answer a few of the questions according to all the research that you did, I would be very very indebted to you..
Thanks...
Sorry but i have to say this in the first day of the new year (2015 of course !) :
"Lollipop". This version of android will never be stable, bad thing ever made. Belive me, it will die very soon like honeycomb in the past . No drivers for many devices.
In 5 years we will need 16 CPU cores and 15" screen size to run android or what ? WHERE ARE WE GOING ???
I still run miui gingerbread on my galaxy SII and it's smooth as hell ."
Sorry if i hurt anyone with these words.
Thanks
