Just canceled verizon service over this phone! - Verizon Droid Charge

After having so so many issues with this phone and issues with my previous OG Droid i came to my wits end and dropped my service today after verizon refused to give me anything other than a Revolution or thunderbolt as a replacement!

Loving my Charge on Humble 4.22 with unlimited data. It can only get better when I move into Humble 5.0 or other EP4P ROM.
I really can't complain about this phone, although I'm sure I couldn't hang with stock.
Are you getting other service? In general, Verizon's network is superior. I'm sure that varies with location though.

i have my charge on humble and all i have to say is WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

The head of customer service told me that she wasn't recommending anything because a software update is coming. What a see you next Tuesday.

I was running a custom rom also but the constant lack of data is unacceptable! i have tried EVERY rom, modem and combination out there! after having 8 of the other droids, and 3 of these i was told that i could swap to ANY other phone i wanted so i researched it and chose the bionic because it has higher ratings the rep then told me no not that phone anything but that, so i said ok let me do some research and i did and decided to go to the iPhone for the reason of apple has better support! and the rep said oh, sorry not that either.... ok so if i can have ANY phone what can i actually have? he replied thunderbolt or revolution... UH.... NO... So o can canceled my service and will sacrifice the poorer networks....

I kinda feel stuck as well. But I don't want to cancel my service.

Someone call the WAAHmbulance.

Rofl! In September, I had eleven gigabytes of mobile data downloaded through the cell network, mostly 4G. I have unlimited data. I'll never leave the big red.

same here man unlimited data and tethering ill never leave

The only issue you mention is "constant lack of data", which would seem to have nothing at all to do with the phone and a lot to do with the network. A Bionic doesn't have magic cell tower creation sauce in it. Neither does an iPh*ne. You say you've been through 11 phones over this, proving the phones aren't related, and proving that VZW has bent over backwards to please a whiney idiot. They've lost a pretty penny giving you phone after phone for something that has NOTHING to do with the hardware, because they actually care about whiners (most of us don't). Good luck finding another company that dedicated to keeping you around while they lose money on you.
If you KNOW of a better carrier in your area, from you know actually talking to real friends on other carriers in your area (if you haven't WAAHed them all away), then just switch to them. No need to post a gee tell me I'm right and a great martyr to strangers all over the world on a forum. Just switch.
Maybe you wanted to be Thomas Paine and start a revolution with all of us. Umm... too bad. Many of us get great service. Sorry yours sucks, but no need to post anywhere but a site dedicated to your local geographic area. Otherwise the info is pretty worthless to most of us.
Finally, THANK YOU, for finally leaving VZW. Your antics have contributed to driving up their overall costs (passed on to all of us eventually).

I dont see how you can complain when you were running custom roms.
Did you ever give the Charge a chance at a complete stock setup?

I to was fed up with data drop but it isnt a charge issue. It's a network issue of some sort and as far as the bionic goes let me tell you. You aint missing much. Sure its nice and smooth but the screen is horrible.... i would choose the charge over this any day. Oh well, i lent my charge to someone and borrowed this bionic. Just waiting on the galaxy nexus to drop..... Best of luck with your new carrier.........

i like the service and coverage that verizon offers, i have 5 lines with them 2 in which i carry with me daily! im not a whiny customer however when my blackberry can stay connected to the network and send/receive calls, messages, data, ect. and my charge sitting right next to it cant i have a problem! the first month i had this phone i had no problems then things went down hill so i started experimenting with roms to see if any of them helped, some did, some didnt. i wasnt trying to get the next best phone as im not in contract on any of my lines and pay the retail prices to avoid a contract! i simply want a phone that i can use without hassle. as for being on my 11th+ phone how is it my fault when my CLR shows up with a broken screen, broken keyboard, not able to boot, factory resets its self every 45min, speakers not work, wifi not work, oh best yet how about when you open the box and they send you a used phone that hasnt been inspected or cleaned!?! my problem is that i need a phone that works and they arent able to send me one, i even agreed to go to a non 4G phone and was denied! So ill go over to att where i expect things not to work!

Humble 5.0 has made this phone good and I agree with others dont leave big red when you have unlimited. Tons of new devices to come.
GL

Really not a good time to bail ... the latest EP4 leak is a big step up in modem performance (almost never drop data anymore -- If I do, it's for maybe 10 seconds).
EP4 will (supposedly) be released within the next few weeks OTA.
Plus this improved modem performance lets me use 2X Battery (similar to Juice Defender) to turn off data while the phone is not in use, yet turn it on every xx minutes to check email, etc.... resulting in a big battery savings. I could never do this with the previous leaks or when the phone was stock -- it would take FOREVER to pick up data each time I turned the screen on.

We are past Tuesday WTF? I'd call back and demand satisfaction!

Now it the wrong time to switch carriers. Unless you go to Sprint. Verizon's Unlimited Data on 4G @12mbs(av.) is something I would have tried to stay and deal with.
I understand your fustration. All I want is a phone that works and does what was promised. I tether and still have probs when playing Xbox live, or downloading torrents. Speedtest gets me 12mbs, but still have problems then it locks or freezes. So I know what you mean. I've tried ALL ROMS. I'm on Humble 5.0 right now, and I love it.
But all you need to do is restart, or turn off then on mobile data, and it works. It'll work for awhile. But there are still those problems that happen. Despite all that...I still Love Verizon. I've had no probs with cust serv or phone coverage. To me, the problem is bad, but not enough to make me EVER leave Verizon.
Luckily I won this phone and still have my new every two discount. So I will sell this phone for 200 and end up paying 50 for Galaxy Nexus. I hope that the problems with tethering and data freezing don't exist with the GN.
I've had them all. Treo on ATT, Samsung Flip Phone on Sprint then flashed to Cricket, G1 on T-Mobile, then Droid Eris and Charge on Verizon. VERIZON IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST!...Luckily I got unlimited data before it was gone. If you had that and let it go...I'm sorry, but I think you will look back and realize you mad a big mistake.

Sprint is having their own data problems right now. You guys are complaining about dropping data until you reboot. How about not having any data at all regardless of how many times you reboot. That's how bad Sprint is in some areas right now (northwest Indiana). If I try to go to the market sometimes the phone will sit there for literally five minutes and still won't connect. I get data time-outs and the spinning circle multiple times a day. Which is why I went back to Verizon on my hands & knees hoping their network has improved in the past couple of years.

Big red came through. They have very nice CS (well 95% nice) LOL. I got the Bionic just in time to sell it after I use my upgrade to get the nexus!!!! (The Bionic is a very good phone BTW) Verizon service hands down beats the rest. When it comes to the big red, you get what you pay for. That's the truth.

[Q] Credit for outage

Has anyone heard from Verizon (or from speaking to CSRs) if they are going to be crediting us back a day (or more if this continues) of data or anything to compensate for the fact the network was down.
I know any time I have had data issues and asked for a credit, they always tell me since I have unlimited there is no way for them to credit the amount.. anyone else had any luck?
Unless you're on a corporate account, I doubt they're going to do much and just say that this "slight inconvenience" will give you "more reliable, faster, and further extended coverage, so it was for your own good". lol
I doubt you're going to get credited. And if you do, it'll be what? Maybe $5? Yipee, you can go get a ****ing Happy Meal now.
[email protected]
You want your dollar back? Go ask, I'm sure they'll just pull a dollar out of their pocket just for the lulz.

Doubt it. Unless you missed calls or had absolutely no signal, I really don't think they'll give you credit. But thats just my guess.

You're on a site...for people who love their phones....Just sayin'.
I complained to them this morning, and explained to them that I work 3rd shift and have felt this from the beginning. After rebooting multiple times, I thought my use of the LTE off radio app had messed up my radio.
I then factory restored and of course that didn't fix the problem. When customer service finally opened I called and explained my frustration and how they could of at least sent Thunderbolt users a text message that it wasn't on the consumers end.
She said that not every TB user is experiencing the problem, so testing everyone wasn't an option and that Google backed up all my settings (yeah right) so she didn't see the problem. I hope you all have better luck.

I'm on the site because I like to tinker with my phone. That doesn't mean that I'm going to cry to Verizon the moment my phone isn't working and demand a few dollars for reimbursement.
This is partly why Verizon charges so much. They have one of the best customer service for a cell phone company... and they have to pay all these people to talk to dumb and annoying people who expect credits and discounts left and right or people that ***** about everything.
But seriously, just do the fix thing and you'll be on 3g, good [temporarily] enough. Its not like 4g costs more than 3g, so without a price difference there's no way to get a credit to your account. If this lasts for a long time then maybe Verizon should do something, lets just hope they fix it soon.
I'm not saying one camp is right or wrong more than the other. But I am saying that I bought the Thunderbolt to replace my original Droid for one major reason: 4G LTE.
For the past 3 weeks that I've owned my 'Bolt, 4G LTE connections have been spotty and very inconsistent. I assumed the reasoning was any of the following:
1. Custom ROMs I've installed.
2. Custom radio I installed.
3. Custom kernels I installed.
At no point did I think it was because of Verizon's 4G LTE not fully "being there".
Now that we are experiencing nationwide 4G LTE outage, this paints a starkly different picture for me than what I had previously thought.
What I think is a fair resolution is for folks to be able to return their Thunderbolts and have their new-every-two reset (if they used it to purchase a Thunderbolt) if they live in an area where 4G LTE coverage was listed.
Whether this outage is a short-term issue or part of a series of long-term growing pains/headaches, I think folks who bought this phone for the 4G should either get 4G or have the opportunity to return the phone. That's fair in my opinion.
M.
I have a slightly used Droid x I will gladly exchange for your TB.
im blown away by how many people think its unreasonable to expect verizon to provide that service that we all pay for. i guess we should all just bend over and take it like all of the PSN/PS3 customers, huh?
This thread is a joke.
If you are posting on this board, then i'm fairly confident that you don't deserve a credit because:
- You most likely temporarily turned on 3G (EVDO) data and are getting just about the same speeds as before
- You probably had your LTE radio switched off
- According to Verizon's policy, messing with these radios, flashing roms, etc... voids your warranty... and i'm sure they don't like giving credits for that.
In all honesty I can feel for the guy/gal who is stuck on 1X right now, while trying to tether so they can download their work mail.... they are the ones who deserve an explanation... and maybe a very small compensation. (what, $5?)

PSN has been out for more than a week. You can't access ANYTHING with their network.
4G LTE has been down for less than 24 hrs. You can still make phones calls and access data, although slowly.
Big difference.
I just think it's silly that people are crying to Verizon when it's been less than 24 hrs. Give them some time to fix it for Christ's sake.

Ok, I'll bite. We pay ~$1/day for data service. So if we simplify and say that for one day things didn't work, then we should get a $1 credit. But data is not completely out. Only 4g data. Since you're not completely out of service, you're not entitled to the entire $1. We could argue all day about how much 4g data service is worth but in reality we can't complain. Data is still $30/month just like it was and still is for 3g customers. Now what exactly do you want a credit for again? Is it really worth it for you to waste an hour or so of your time to get < $1 credited to your account? VZW doesn't have a habit of long outages or treating customers badly so why does everyone want to jump on their back about an outage like this?

[Q] Tmobile free internet/data?

I have been using tmobile (usa) prepiad connection over 2 years. Once in a while i used web day pass ($1.49) to access data/internet for 24hrs (which has 30GB 4G cap and rest is EDGE i guess)
Now, about a month ago, i signed up for day pass again (spent $1.49), after that i see that it was not disconnected after 24hrs. Im getting free data/internet about a month and still working. No 4G cap either. im getting 4G all day long and im using voip, video chat and stuff without any issue. When i check my account, i was not charged for data at all. Still i have the balance i had a month ago. Im charged for regular gsm calls ($0.10) as usual.
I change the sim with different phones and still it works. My question is, if Tmobile came to know this, can they take any legal action against me?. Is there anyway to keep a prove that i havent done anything wrong?.

Depends. It was their error for not shutting, off the data when they were supposed to, however you just admitted that you knew you were receiving a paid service that was not paid for. That may make you liable but i am not sure.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
I guess if anything, you'll just have to say you didn't know. It was their fault for not shutting it off. You could just say that you didn't bother to check or talk to T-Mobile about it.
Dude lol,you are a PREPAID customer, dont sweat it, I promise you any legal action they would try to threaten you with would cost more than the little extra data you have used. Disregard anything anyone else tells you otherwise.
you'll be ok. they made a mistake and gave me internet for 6 months before catching it and no one ever did anything.
Dont sweet it!
they'll just turn off the data.... they eat crap like that all the time. No action will come against you... and when you want data again.. and pay the 1.49 or whatever.. youll have it for the day like your suppose to... unless they mess up again... good for you

**if your charge is dropping data daily, read this thread**

My Droid charge has been dropping my data signal up to 10X aday since I received it and for $299 price tag I think its crazy that Verizon still denies that this is going on, even with all the complaints, articles, forums to the contrary.
Today I received my 5th certified POS like new replacement device and within 15min of activating it I lost data for 4min and 9sec. Yes I counted!
At 1pm today I logged onto the BBB Web-site and logged a formal complaint.
I recieved an email from myra at the BBB a few hours later, letting me know that my complaint had been forwarded to the appropriate dept. At VZW. She also informed me that if VZW is unwilling to resolve the issue to my satisfaction, I would be eligible for some sort of arbutration or I should go to my local courthouse and file a small claims Suit which on average cost less than $40 to file.
I do plan to file my complaint with the court s if VZW can't or is unwilling to resolve my issue. I am tired of being pushed around by conpanies like VZW and not pushing back. Id love to see someone from Verizon show up in court.
Im not sure if the problem with data lies with the Droid Charge or the 4g network itself but in either case VZW needs to rectify the issues ASAP.
FLAME ON!

I see people talk about it, but I honestly think it's a tiny but vocal minority. I haven't had any data problems on my phone that were not network related...the recent outages are a good example. Otherwise, it's been solid.

Completely agree with this. I've gotten my 3rd like-new replacement and it still has these issues. I've just been holding off until the nexus device is released so I can hop to that instead of getting another charge.
I haven't seen too much of a data dropping issue outside of using certain apps that may cause it. This phone has a huge problem with death grips though. I can go from 3 bars to barely 1 just by picking up my phone.

After a total of 4 charges between my wife and I we finally got one to work ok. They offered to send me another charge or to swap for a DX2. If the next charge doesn't work then they would consider swapping for a thunderbolt or a revolution. Not real happy about any of the choices they gave me.

I'm interested to know from those of you having consistently crappy data connections:
Have you tried switching to CDMA-only mode, rather than LTE/CDMA?
If it's a lot more stable on just CDMA (3G), then the problem is mostly with the network(s) in your area. If it's just as crappy, then it's definitely the phone. IIRC, what I've been seeing a lot is that the Charge isn't very good at making the transition from LTE to CDMA when the LTE signal fades, making for extended periods of no-data while the phone tries to reconnect.
Personally, the only time I have any kind of data drop at all is when I'm switching between CDMA and LTE because I've either traveled outside of the LTE coverage, or my building's magnetic fields flux-ed enough to make a difference in the signal.

99.999% of the time, the problem with Samsung Android phones is the software, particularly on the US versions. All of the problems we saw on the American SGS (Captivate, Fascinate, Epic, and Vibrant) were almost completely software related. Even worse, the Captivate is essentially the international I9000 with the american version of the software.
The I9000 has/had none of the problems we saw all the time on the American versions.
The Galaxy Nexus, if it is to truly carry the Nexus name, should be a 100% Google experience. The only software put forth by Samsung will be that which is essential to talking with the modem hardware. And as long as they don't completely pooch the RIL (which I'm sure Google has been vetting over and over and over to ensure a consistent experience), then there is no reason to fear the Galaxy Nexus.
I have the same issue, and actually found myself reading through xda tonight to diagnose if this is a common issue. It seems to be getting worse from me, everytime I unlock the phone from sleep there is no data. Before I go complaining to Verizon, whats the best and most economic way to dump this thing and go for the new Nexus?

This is true. But If memory serves me and it might not. The nexus s and nexus 4g also had connectivity problems that had to be investigated by google/sprint. I think there was also a prob with pics being deleted off the phone without warning. im not knocking google here but the fact that connectivity and Samsung keep coming up leaves me weary.
In the end ill probably end up with a galaxy nexus but I will certainly wait to see if Any issues popup 1st. I am as excited as the next Android user at a nexus phone on the big red network, but the fact that my fassy, charge and the nexus s and nexus s 4g had connectivity issues gives me pause. Its just my opinion, but Samsung seems to be the common link....

The only software put forth by Samsung will be that which is essential to talking with the modem hardware. And as long as they don't completely pooch the RIL (which I'm sure Google has been vetting over and over and over to ensure a consistent experience), then there is no reason to fear the Galaxy Nexus.

I did try turning off the lte but noticed no difference. It would randomly drop to no data then to 1x and eventually back to 3g. I never had a signal issue with my fascinate in the same locations.

Everybody needs to call verizon to tell them whats up so they can give all charge owners the galaxy nexus like what happened with the fascinate.

Ha, Verizon won't even admit there is a problem with the Charge and I'm pretty sure Samsung allowed the fassy for charge swap or VZW would of denied that as well. Also
I think they would Offer the Samsung stratosphere and not the nexus. Id take a, stratosphere at this point atleast it comes with GB.

My Droid charge has been dropping my data signal up to 10X aday since I bought it for $299. I think its crazy that Verizon still denies that this is going on, even with all the complaints, articles, forums to the contrary.
I suggest anyone that is having problems with data dropping out continually, which I suspect is most if not all of you. Go to the BBB Web-site and log your own compliant. In the end we might not get any satisfaction for the problem but I will be satisfied with the fact that I tried to do something about it.
FLAME ON!

honestly i had the same problem when i got my phone. You should have them check the coverage area. Online the coverage area for San Fernando Valley, CA( look it up and youll see what im talking about) is FULL red, but then I was having the problems you had. They zoomed in on there maps and in my area is WEAK 4g (they call it extended coverage). Went to a FULL 4g area and never lost connection. As soon as i Get back in my area im in and out and it keeps dropping to 1x and then tuns off network..luckly i have WIFI...hoped this helped

Wish I could say the same. As far as a vocal few. Google "Droid charge dropping data" Or read this article by Droid police. Its a wide spread problem. So either you are extremely fortunate or you just havnt noticed.

Google any random phone this way and you'll get the same results. I'm not seeing anything special here. For every phone, there is a vocal group claiming that there is a flaw in that phone causing data drops.
The fact remains that myself and a coworker both have Charges, mine is rooted, his isn't, and neither of us have seen these data dropping issues. If I were to believe the article you linked, then other friends' Thunderbolts and Bionics should have the data issues, yet they don't. I should also note as well that I travel between LTE and non-LTE areas on a weekly basis and I've yet to see the phone fail to make the transition as the linked article implies. I have this phone since late June and have yet to see these issues in my own phone or in others.

[Q] Sick and tired of Sprint's HORRIBLE 3G service in my area...can I get some help?

I get on average 26kbps down. I also frequently drop down to 1X. Simply awful. I know it isn't a coverage thing. Sprint's map for 3G says the whole city and then some are covered. I call BS. This will be my third Sprint phone with the same issues. I've called Customer Service but they say they can't do anything unless more people complain.
Could someone help me with modifying a PRL to get better service in my area? There is no 4G where I live so using some Verizon towers wouldn't matter much. I already know how to flash a different PRL but I don't know how to read one or modify one.
If I hadn't just bought my Shift I'd be ditching Sprint for someone else. ANYONE else.
I feel your pain can't beat the price though.

Nope. Didn't make the least bit of difference. Download is still around 24(ish) kbps. I didn't mention it before but my upload is 10x my download at around 250kbps.
What Rom are you using? Well you can always call Sprint and complain. Explain to them how bad your Data services are. I've heard of them on more than one occasion, offering a free Airwave to customers with bad Data services. It may take more than one call. But if you get it for free it will be worth it.
I was having all types of connection issues. I formated my sd card. With ext4 at 1gb and swap at 256, then installed cyanogenmod nightly 243, boot install gapps new one, boot installed sparkies script and v10 kernal. And settled in. I am getting 6 times faster everything on a 8gig class 4. Did it to the wifes too but did 2gig ext4 cause she has a butt ton of apps. It made her give up miui. Well kinda lol she wanted that 3.1 miui launcher. But anyway. Do this it should boost your bandwidth. I sure as hell did mine. I am getting 2Mb on 3g now up to 7 or 8 on 4g and 15 on wifi.

There is a thread in the Evo 3d forum here on xda that has the phone # for Sprints retention dept. If you call that number and explain that your cell and data signal sucks and you drop 2 out of 3 calls they should send you a Air Rave for no charge and won't charge you for the service. If I get time to nite and can find it I will post the link.
Edit: Here is the number for retention (877)775-4886 Hope you get some satisfaction I know it worked for me.

Almost makes me wish I had Crappy 3G in my area. Almost , but not really . Already been there done that and it was not a good time .
EDIT :
Was just reminded of something reading a post by sparksco. What radios are you using? Have you updated them?

I think your right that the kernel does make a huge difference as well as the patch. If your phone is using all of your memory/ram then data connection has a hard time keeping up. Pershoot makes really good kernels...

I have fair 3g speeds but 4G coverage (which is why I went with sprint and the shift) in Atlanta is really spotty in the metro area. When you are any cell store the strength and speeds will be great to get you to buy in my opinion. You don't get to see how it will be in daily use until the contract and sale are complete
I can see downtown Atlanta from my condo but yet I get no 4G and fair 3G speeds. That's how it is all over Atlanta. I understand the frustration especially if you are paying the $10 4G fee. I went to ask about the coverage and speeds. I told the rep I was upset at paying a $10 extra fee for 4G when it is so spotty and slow. Apparently the $10 fee is not for 4G, insert bs excuse here ! While I can't be of any help to your speed issues I want to say that even where I live it's a problem. Most of the time I keep my phone connected to my wireless router and then in areas where free wireless is offered I connect to it running an SSH tunnel app to my router at home.
Ok, I'm still getting ****ty data service and I've tried almost everything I know how to do. Does anyone.know how to modify a PRL so I can force a connection to some Verizon towers? Obviously I still want to use Sprint for calls since I rarely have issues with that but the 3G is completely unbearable

Try THIS THREAD for what you need. Specifically THIS post.
when i updated the radio and wimax radio on my shift i did notice a little stronger signal in general. but in my experience especially in fringe areas, MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD then TRY TRY TRY TRY then AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN several PRL variations. i think in general the 00001.prl everyone agrees is a good one to start on. just make sure your phone is set with NO restrictions concerning data roaming. half the time at least half the time im not even on sprints network, lol. if i call customer service i usually get verizon, but i have got alltel and USCC before lol. heh, in the gulf of mexico it shows up as something like 'national calling system' or something lol.
i never noticed the thread recommended above, so i will trying that in approx. 47 secs lol! so thankd for pointing that out.
but always, when i doubt, keep adding towers.....
cheers,
disco

Well, after using the 00001 (or whatever) PRL that is 100% Verizon, my speeds have increased dramatically. Its like getting a new phone. I don't plan on using that long term as Sprint can get uppity about it but I'll try it for a while and then see if I can settle on some sort of hybrid approach or even that corporate PRL you linked to.
Thanks for the help. I'm a happy EVO Shift owner again.
No problem . Here to help .
Ok then. I switched to the Sprint corporate PRL. Went from full bars at home to two. I'll try it out for a bit and see if it sucks less than the normal Sprint PRL. Verizon is looking better and better even with the data caps.

Till you see your bill . Know a few Sprint people who switched to Verizon recently, about three months ago. They're crying big time . Both switched because they " get better reception " . But the Bill is crazy . One has had about $100 in overages . The other has great reception, but two weeks in he's already over his 2GB cap . No thanks to all that .
i have sprint but i put this prl on my phone and for last few days both data and voice have been better than 0001.prl, i'm in new orleans so i do not know bout other parts of country but i thought it worth posting.
cheers,
disco

Happens all to frequently for me. Go get a new sim from verizon, problem solved till next time:-/
p.s I'm on my fourth sim, and second charge. every month or so.
I really hope the SIM isn't gone - I hate going back to stock just to go to Verizon and get a new SIM, not to mention every time I go to Verizon I get hounded about "look at this new tablet" or "What can I try like hell to sell you even though you said 100 times you are just hear for quick service". They should really just give us new phones or replacements for all this bull. The Charge is a POS. I pay way too much with 4 smartphone lines to have to deal with this crap.
Sorry for the rant, but every time I call them I get a BS answer. I miss Alltel and their supurb customer service. I think once my contracts are up I am going to change carriers. LTE is not nearly as fast as it was before, and really isn't any faster than HSPA now
I just got off the phone with tech support regarding the same data drop issues. They insist on sending a CLN replacement and if that fails then call and talk about replacement options. Other people have even been able to swap out to a Rezound at no charge. Call tech support and see what they can do to help you out.

I had a problem earlier for a little bit. Toggle airplane worked for me atleast. I have a spare sim. Just called when my wife was getting a CLN and said I need a sim. Funny thing is the phone was regular mail at 5 days and my sim card was a full box fed ex 2 day. Wonder why charges are so high.
Tech support told me that they are sending me either a thunderbolt or rezound...he mentioned thunderbolt first and when I told him I already had one of those and it had its problems as well, although none as bad as the charge pos, he said really it just came out last month...then further into the transaction he called it a rezound and not a thunderbolt so I honestly have no idea what to expect. He also sent the battery and door at no charge (said since I have 5 active lines he could waive the fee), but they will be in separate shipments. So either way I am better off than now, guess I find out in a few days what I get
