Also posted this over at Xoom Forums. Problem with ADW-EX and widgets
I have a wi-fi only Xoom that I just rooted, and to which I installed the Moray 2.2.2 ROM. I did not have any issues with the installation and flash, but I'm running the ADW-EX launcher and keep having problems with widgets not loading properly (the dreaded 'Problem Loading Widget' gray box). In fact, in setting up Hubs on my Xoom, I can go from one screen to another, and when I flip back to the first screen, widgets that were just working are now not loading properly. This includes some Minimalistic Text widgets as well as Pure Calendar, Music, Mizuu, Gmail, and others. It's very annoying to have to keep regenerating these widgets every few minutes. I have not tried restarting ADW each time to see if this fixes the issue. Backup and restore of the ADW settings does not. Has anyone else had trouble with widgets and ADW after installing this ROM?

Anyone else have this problem.
Just switched to ADW Launcher.
Always used SMSUnread for my icons and it's always worked fine.
Now with ADW Launcher, the icon will show the number of unread messages/calls/email when I first create the icon but that is it. Any new messages or reading a message doesn't increase/decrese the number. It's like the widget isn't refreshing.
Only happens on ADW. I also noticed my Weather/Clock/Last Call widgets weren't updating. They seem to be fine since I disabled "Use Screen Cache"
Anyone? It's enough to send me away from ADW.
u got killed them in task manager?
i have used ADW and SMSunread and have never had an issue.
P.S. lunarken - im glad you like my x10 image
i already had that issue, but after while, i installed rom 26 and i haven't tried adw again.
i don't think the problem is in task manager, because adw doesn't appears in the task manager, and adw works fine, only the widgets does not
In my experience adw can be twitchy when it comes to widgets. I get random and irritating failures of various widgets.
Swyped from my rooted X10i using Tapatalk.
When I install an app that is just a widget or has widgets that come with the program they don't show up in the widget list. This has happened before after I flashed a rom. Only the apps I restored from titanium backup would show up in the widget list. And some widgets that I would add to the home screen would disappear after a reboot. Eventually it just stopped doing all this but it has started happening and I'm not sure what's causing it. Any ideas on how to solve this?
I have a D1, Liquid gingerbread 1.3-update1, and GO launcher.
Hey all,
I have noticed ever since the new update that when I have go launcher ex running as my active launcher, at times the widgets on my home screen do not update.
Funny thing is, when I auto rotate the screen and then rotate it back to normal the widgets update. I actually have to do this to update them.
Anyone else have this issue with go launcher ex? I have contacted them but they do not reply so I figured to see if anyone in here has the same issue.
I am using the stock launcher right now. The problem does not appear to happen with the stock. Any good recommendation on a launcher to use momentarily that has no issues with the new 4.0?
I have also noticed that Go SMS has issues as well, it will at times not respond. Again with the stock launcher no issues with Go SMS.
It sounds like a bug in GoLauncherEx.
Try Nova Launcher (my favorite)

Or Apex Launcher

Bummer.... I like go launcher ex cause they don't make me pay for the premium app to categorize my app drawer apps in folders....
I've tried Go Launcher and the Nova and I like better the Nova to ICS
Got a new Nexus S yesterday. Came with Gingerbread 2.3.4 but I received OTA to 4.1.1. Phone is completely stock unrooted, but I am running latest version of Nova Launcher. On homescreens, I have Beautiful Weather widget, Pure Calendar agenda widget, and Audiomanager Pro widget.
Every time I reboot, all of these widgets disappear. I have to re-add them.
I've searched the forum and see various other people having the same problem over the past few months, but never saw a conclusive fix. Anybody know one?
Thanks.

I have the same problem with Beautiful Widgets. My guess is because I'm using skins for the SuperClock it fails to load if the USB storage isn't mounted timely. All my other widgets don't use skins which is why I think that way, but I could be wrong.
Hi,
I am using Holo and Zeam Launchers on Android 2.3.7. With both launchers I am having a problem with the Google Play Music widget: After reboot the widget is unresponsive and most of the controls including the cover photo is gone. I have to delete and load the widget again. Then it works until the next time I reboot. On the stock (Motorola) launcher the widget is not messed up after reboot, but I refuse to use a mediocre launcher based on needing one widget to work. Anyone else noticed this. and is there anything I can do?

Hi!
You may have an SD card installed. I am trying to install to the internal memory.
