Try cleaning cache and dalvik in clockwork recovery. also clear market data.

I may be wrong, if so someone will correct me, but on Weapon's rom and Stock rom's the Apps are moved to the Internal SD not the External SD. I think the CM7 is the only one that reworks the mounting to use the External for this.

One thing with the new 'superphones' it's really not necessary to move apps to sd. The g2x has 3 locations in which to store apps. The problem you are having I ran into awhile back. The issue is with mounting or improper format on your sd card. Always, when in doubt, reboot!

Installing Apps to internal memory instead of SD?

Is there a way to install the apps to the internal storage instead of the sd card? I remember awhile ago there was an option on CM that allowed internal/external settings. I can't finder it anymore. My sd card is only 1gb taken from my old G1.

Which rom are you using right now?
If you're on stock (based) ROM, then you can use ADB/terminal to issue the command pm setInstallLocation 1 to force apps to use the internal storage, if on CM7 the option is under CM Settings => Application => Install Location
In CM if we set it to internal will apps install on the internal sd card or on the internal rom (is that the right word im looking for?)?
They'll be in /data/app, so what you would call 'internal ROM'
Thank you that's exactly what I was looking for

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if there's a way to move apps to the internal sd card (not internal ROM)?
I have a 16gb class 10 microsd card but i want to use all that space for music. That 5gb internal sd card is just sitting there, i'd really want to use it for app installation space.
Any clues?
I think you have to change the setting to internal and reinstall the apps

Did you get this resolved? I have the same issue. I'm trying to get apps to install in the 5GB internal SD memory.

If so you can use the zip from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144553
Flash the one that says it makes external secondary. It will mount your internal sdcard as /sdcard and will mount your external as a folder /sdcard/_ExternalSD
G2X CM7
Thanks. I think that did the job!

Will CM7 require a microSD?

Hey guys, I heard that I might need a microSD card to run cm7. Is this correct? If so, would a 16GB class 2 SanDisk be good enough?
Thanks,
Matt
I don't think that you HAVE to have a sd card, but if you want to have any apps on the phone it sure would help. The S4G doesn't have that much internal memory. I'm sure that memory card would suffice, but obviously the higher the class the faster and better.
1gb of apps is far more than enough. You'll need it to put the ROM on it to begin with.

You just need the microsd card to flash the room since you have to put the zip file in it. After that it doesn't matter at all if you don't have an sd card when it come to running cm7.

didnt you get a memory card when you bought the phone? in the box that came with mine i got a 8gb card in the phone.. that would be perfectly enough to install cm7 and have room for apps/games..
You'll need it initially for flashing the zip file and if you want to use Apps2SD to keep space on your phone free. I don't think it's "required" after the initial installation of the ROM. I'd recommend one, however to keep NAND backups.

ROM Manager partitioning questions.

Hi all
Was wondering if I should take advantage of the partitioning tool in rom manager. Should I empty out my sdcard before using this? Will titanium backup know where to put the apps when I move them to the sdcard after installation? 256 or 512?
Thanks
Heeter

dont partition your internal sd card. its not needed and its a bad idea. its not as easy to replace as an external sd card when you mess it up. you can already install apps to sd without it.
Thanks for your response

From what I've read, the Nexus S actually has a NAND chip instead of an internal SD, so imo, partitioning like that is even worse

[Q] Internal storage (non-sd card) of the G2x - how big it is?

Hi
I am coming from the Vibrant. There, I never used my own SD CARD. I always used the phone's storage. It was always fine.
But now I just flashed to CM and when I wanted to take a pic, it said "please insert SD card before ...."
huh? does the G2x doesn't have enough space - even for ONE picture?
I am sure I am missing something here
Thank you!!!

Internal memory is 8gb but free space is roughly 5.2 gbs.
You need to have an external SD card with the way cm7 is formatted the internal SD card is mounted as mnt/emmc.
Not sure if you can change your download folder to mnt/emmc as I never have tried.
There is I believe if I recall correctly a flash that changes the internal memory card from emmc to reg browse the threads in dev you'll surely find it there

There's an option in cyanogenmod settings>application
That does that for you. Called use internal storage or something. Tap it and reboot.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
cyanogenmod settings -> application -> use internal storage
check this, reboot, and the internal storage should be mounted on /sdcard and /mnt/sdcard, while external sd card (if exists) will be mounted on /mnt/emmc
There is a 2GB for apps if I am not mistaken.

roughly 1.5gb for apps, with link2sd that 1.5gb is very generous since only some cache files are stored on internal and everything else being linked to the ext partition on sdcard. I have over 450+ apps/games on my phone atm using link2sd and reccomend it to anyone else who also likes installing tons of apps.

The internal SD card is not removable
No i mean the internal sd the one inside the phone it only has 2gb.i once had a hd2 and changed the internal sd for a bigger one so i though i could do the same with this phone. Is it possible??
Or mount the 16gb as internal.

I really don't know about that but what I did was just change my download path to the external_sd within whatever app I was downloading from

Erm, the phone has built in memory, and then expandable memory from the microSD slot. Use a larger microSD and install your apps or transfer whatever media you have to that instead of the internal memory. You can also set your camera to save images to the microSD instead of the phone's internal memory.
The games install by default to internal sd and i don't have space for games only one fits and can't dl. Eny more that's my biggest problem and cant make the games install the data to external sd.

if you flash the cm7 port your external sd will be in your sdcard path like normal, and internal will be under an emmc folder instead. as far as i know thats your only option
We(tfq) are working on separating the sdcard and external sdcard like in cm7...it'll be emmc for internal ans sdcard for external SD
It does take time so waiting is crucial we are working on a lot of stuff for you guys
