Change IMEI?

I don't think this topic is banned here because there are other posts with how to do it for older HTC phones.
I was wondering if there was a way to change my FUZE's IMEI to that of a dumbphone so that I can sign up for the $15 data plan. I currently have the $20 internet and 200 messaging plan from when I had a razr, but I was thinking of switching to unlimited family messaging which would require me to change my data pack to one without messaging and because I have a FUZE it will not allow me to select the $15 data plan for dumbphones.
I don't want to pay $30 for data as I only use about 100MB a month, and $15 is already too much for that amount of data. Is there a way to change the IMEI on a Raphael?

Whether this is a banned topic or not, what you are asking is illegal and goes against the terms and conditions of your AT&T contract. Just my $0.02.
What you are asking for is illegal.

Upgrade AT&T Phone but keep original plan

I am qualified for an upgrade with AT&T and I'm considering the SGS2 but I want to keep my original phone and data plan. I have the unlimited data plan and 200 text for an extra $5.
Has anyone been able to keep their original plan and upgrade their phones with AT&T? If so were there any hassles involved and what steps did you have to go through to get it done?
Thanks.

Hmmmmm, most the time whenever u "upgrade" any telecomunications contract (i.e. cable, internet, mobile...) they require u to sign a new contract(unless theres some kind of grandfather clause). so since the one your currently under is no longer available i dont see it being very easy for u to keep your current plan without a bunch of fuss. best bet to keep the current plan is just pay for a new device outright. sure the initial price is hard to swallow but think of all the free data you would be missing out on.

[Q] Verizon Talk & Text Plus Data $20 Disc

So, I've been riding this promo (essentially getting unlimited data for 9.99) for a while now and now that I'm eligible for an upgrade I was going to switch to a D4 (miss my QWERTY). Before upgrading I decided to call Verizon CS and make sure it wouldn't interfere with the promo, which it apparently won't. However, she did say that the promo would expire December of this year (12 months after contract expiration).
I could have sworn there was no end date on the promo? Has anyone heard anything about this?
Mmm so you get free texting and counting that as -20 for data or do you get $-20 specifically for the data?

It was a promotion back in the day to get people to pick up a data package. If you had talk (any number of minutes) and an UNLIMITED txt plan and added data to it you got a $20 discount on your bill, essentially giving you unlimited data for $9.99 as long as you maintain the first two criteria.

If your contract has expired they can essentially change your plan however they please..but I also get this same discount for all 4 lines on my plan and I have not heard of this happening. I guess your best bet would be to renew now and lock it in so even if they do change it, which they probably won't, you can get out of contract without ETF.

no you wont. Upgrade 3 of my lines with the plan and we have yet to lose the discount. UPGRADE FROM VZW ONLY THO. do not go to third party stores

Keeping 4G unlimited Data plan.

I signed up with verizon two years ago with HTC thunderbolt with a 4G Unlimited data plan. After that I have been just buying secondhand phones. Now I am up for an upgrade, but I know if you upgrade through verizon they will strip you of your unlimited plan. But I also heard that they are doing this to customers who have 3G smartphones, in order to get everyone to 4G. But if you have been grandfathered into a 4G unlimited plan, can you upgrade and still keep your unlimited plan.
I am not able to get a correct answer from anyone. Has anyone recently, who has 4G unlimited plan been able to upgrade and keep their plan.
Thank you in advance.

As of right now, Verizon is making everyone go to a share everything or tiered data plan. Those of us who are grandfathered in will have to switch to one those plans. But here's the kicker. This is only if we want to take advantage of subsidized phone options. For those of us who want to continue to have unlimited data will have to pay for our phones outright. So either we can enjoy phones at a cheaper pace (at least until VZW gets rid of subsidized phone options) or we can pay the 4-700 dollars for a new phone and keep our unlimited plan.
I'm keeping my plan on principle.

looks like no upgrading for me , just keep buying second hand phones.
I upgraded from an Incredible2 3g phone to the GN2 keeping my unlimited data by adding the new phone to one of my 2 "dumb phone" lines, then moved the GN2 to my line. The Verizon store Rep offered to do this for me knowing that it is a loophole to keep your unlimited data. I'm sure eventually that loophole will be closed, by I can speak from personal experience that it works. Several others have done the same thing. Hope this helps.

I upgraded and kept my unlimited data as well, there's three lines on my account and as long as I always transfer the upgrade to the line that doesn't have data, then after the upgrade switching phones with that line I still keep my unlimited. So in summary as long as you have a line without data in your account you can keep unlimited by doing an alternative upgrade.
Pro-tip:
Ask for an "A-List" device at the Verizon store. A-list devices are devices returned within the first 14 days they allow exchange. Mine was from someone who could not handle the power of Android and had to dumb it down to iOS, saved me a couple hundred bucks to let them borrow it and I still got a warranty
I payed $640 out the door (Accessories+Tax) months ago for my S3. 16GB White, Car Charger, Screen Protector 3pk, UAG case, new SIM (Do not pay for sim or activation corporate stores do it free, private will too if you mention this).
