MIUIAndroid.com needs help testing the MIUI build for the Sensation, post here!

OK, I need someone who can install a build of MIUI 2.3.23 (ICS) and produce a logcat. It isn't booting, and the general assumption is that it's bootlooping.
The download is here. Post your logcat on pastebin.com or upload it here and I will put it on pastebin for you.
We don't care about the MMS.apk errors or any other errors right now, all we want is to get this thing to boot! And for that we need a logcat.
So yeah. Logcat please, from this download.

It's the AOSP version It's by miui.com/Xiaomi, but MIUIAndroid.com adds some stuff to it and builds it in English, not Chinese.

Official miui haven't released a aosp version so it can't be a aosp version unless they built it themself. Let me look at the zip
Edit: its based on sense. No point. Just install my version no issues and flaming fast + more feautures

I like your ROM, in fact I'm installing your ROM. I've thanked and 5-starred your thread.
But miuiandroid has been around of a long ass time porting MIUI-China to multiple devices. They want to get their versiont working - either help or don't. Don't plug your own damn rom here or call their work inferior. Chef-etiquette 101
I'm at work, but if no one has stepped up to produce this by the time I get home, I will do it.

Hmm ok then was just telling people that need a working Rom rather than waiting for one. It looks as if your saying I'm advertising my Rom, yea I'm earning loaads. I could of spent my time doing a part time job earning more money, but I like to spend time making roms for the community. Guess ill be avoiding a few people on this forum then.
And btw for your info miuiandroid don't port just add a few apks tweaks of there own and translate into English. Not spend a long ass amount of time porting it. I used miui China as a base.
It's fine if you don't want to use my Rom. Your loss. And I don't want people with your attitude on my thread anyway

I don't agree with how he said it, advertising his own rom like that, but I do see where he's coming from. If it's Sense-based, there really is no point in continuing, we already have it. There's a reason this place has been called XDA Themers.

HTC Sense 4.0 Skins From HTC

Aye Members of XDA, I have come to understand that most, if not all, users of Sense 4.0 Roms are having a bit of trouble obtaining the skins from HTC Hub. For that reason, I have managed to get them and will gladly upload them so that way everyone can have access to them. This is none of my work, these are simply the skins that HTC provided Sense 4.0 users i.e ( Memories, Music Lover, Painting the World, Purple Passion, and Spaceship Earth ) Well, here you guys go, enjoy...

a lot of developers are in the makings of new skins, just they're not as clean as the ones that HTC release, so i agree, more skins on HTC's end need to be made

Have you seen links to any themer/developer custom skins yet?
I know s_hestheone created an HD_ICE (will fix name if incorrect) skin.
But haven't seen any other surface.
I themed like.. 500 images in one, but still working on getting it to install. arghh.

Is there a black and yellow skin?saw it from one x :.)

noob question

Hi can I install beats audio on top of my ROM ,I'm currently running Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2.? If yes, do I simply download file to zip, recovery, install from zip, reboot? Or is their more to it? Also where would I find it? Looked but can't find? Or does it have to be included in Rom?

Have you tried dsp manager? It's what I use but yea beats can be added through recovery I believe you can find it in he themes and apps section or just search beats in the VI forum

On the android market, search beats audio installer. Download, recovery, install reboot. It will not launch an icon etc when playing audio. Before you do it let me tell you I honestly thought it hurt my audio quality. I have dsp and voodoo sound which is outstanding. Once you install beats it is very hard to remove! Create a recovery zip before incase if you don't like it.

Beats audio is a marketing gimmick. Why would you want one single eq setting when you can set it any way you want? Forget beats audio and type equalizer in Google play.

Some people enjoy it, especially considering many people don't understand how to make an custom equalizer and the fact that a bass EQ is the most popular choice. Beats takes care of both issues since it's only one bass EQ and you don't have to set the levels yourself.
Edit: Honestly, it's also one of the better bass equalizers I've heard, and I've used DSP, PowerAmp, beats, and two or three others. Not too overpowered, just enough treble reduction.

anybody can slide toggles up and down to make it sound exactly how they want to the same way they slide the volume to get it to sound exactly how they want it to. sheesh who do you think you're dealing with here? iPhone users?

Like the iPhone joke Kevin! I'm not dissin beats. For me it really didn't work. Also, already having voodoo audio etc I feel like they were just competing. When I installed ICS Passion v13.1 on my vibrant, voodoo was pre installed. I really like the customization options. I wish beats had more of these options.

Tbvfh one of the reasons I rooted my sensation is that I had to escape the enforced equaliser, I have invested in good in ear headphones without a Mic and it was either beats or bass boost if I used the HTC music player, plus that other players don't play well with HTC non stock lockscreen.

I would agree upon this one. And not only because of the people who not are any technical, but the fact that I'm a lazy bastard and actually like to get as much as possible just working by my standards out of the box.

A Call For Devs To Collaborate.

First of all, i'm not a Developer. And i know there's a huge amount of dedication into ROM building that's been put by our Devs into our sensation. whether that be time, work, researches, and sweat. I'm sure we're all grateful to every single one of them.
Just a personal statement before i possibly get flamed.
This is a call for something New on our device. i know sense 4 is much stable now, and probably in full 100% working state in few days. This is why i'd like to shed some light on the work of ParanoidAndroid Team. It's practically an AOKP/CM9 Tablet Mode/UI. Which i find to be stunning. I already tried it on the sensation with the help of a flash-able ZIP made by Xylograph and i gotta say, it's pretty sweet.
Now this attempt was first started on the Galaxy Nexus, and now it found it's way to other devices: http://betadan.com/paranoid/devices/
So, what i'm hoping at is that our device becomes supported as well. By both ParanoidAndroid Team And any Dev that would like to work on this ROM.
