OK, I need someone who can install a build of MIUI 2.3.23 (ICS) and produce a logcat. It isn't booting, and the general assumption is that it's bootlooping.
The download is here. Post your logcat on pastebin.com or upload it here and I will put it on pastebin for you.
We don't care about the MMS.apk errors or any other errors right now, all we want is to get this thing to boot! And for that we need a logcat.
So yeah. Logcat please, from this download.

It's the AOSP version It's by miui.com/Xiaomi, but MIUIAndroid.com adds some stuff to it and builds it in English, not Chinese.

Official miui haven't released a aosp version so it can't be a aosp version unless they built it themself. Let me look at the zip
Edit: its based on sense. No point. Just install my version no issues and flaming fast + more feautures

Hmm ok then was just telling people that need a working Rom rather than waiting for one. It looks as if your saying I'm advertising my Rom, yea I'm earning loaads. I could of spent my time doing a part time job earning more money, but I like to spend time making roms for the community. Guess ill be avoiding a few people on this forum then.
And btw for your info miuiandroid don't port just add a few apks tweaks of there own and translate into English. Not spend a long ass amount of time porting it. I used miui China as a base.
It's fine if you don't want to use my Rom. Your loss. And I don't want people with your attitude on my thread anyway

I don't agree with how he said it, advertising his own rom like that, but I do see where he's coming from. If it's Sense-based, there really is no point in continuing, we already have it. There's a reason this place has been called XDA Themers.

This Thread is for the huge community who used the RCMix Evolutionary Sense 3.0.
Until Capy releases something new and better than this rom we should keep up the work on this one.

The reason was that he had found out something about the base. It was unity and not kingdom..
I'm sure he respects you for doing this, as do I. But I don't think capy can continue with the ROM, and I don't think anyone wants a repeat of last week.
Tbh, I'm with capy in this "argument", as I think he was mislead by a "friend", who he risked a lot to help last week, and who also lied to their fan base
So what can we do now? The ROM is great and there is nothing that as perfect as that one. It had its own kernels made by klquicksall and so on. That cannot be for nothing!
So many recognized and great developers helped fixing a lot of bugs. We should keep up the work for that somehow!

Yh,I was enjoying the Rom until this morning I woke up and realized it closed. That's Heart Breaking man. Still don't know exactly what is happening. Just know that Capy's having some trouble with the "License" from other roms.
Btw,can anyone pls fix the problem the phone Identity show that Model Number is Incredible S???
Samuel told capy is was strictly his base and not unity. Capy asked in the honey3d forum about the base, and Samuel admitted it had pieces of unity wiring that was used, but not mentioned.

I still feel capy woudn't have stealed the base (as they are quoting). Being such an experienced dev, if you have tried this ROM from beginning you would know how work is done in this. Anyways, people need to calm down and this is an adverse effect to the community. It's not good to lose dev's like capy.

The support is good, but kinda freaks me out robo, made a whole thread in dev section on top but the base was not what we were lead to think, so for the respect of virtuous aztec must be taken down and redone or something, they have not approved the use of that particular base.

It would seem to me that the same script that disabled the bloatware in temp root would do the same for perm root and could be modified to remove rather than disable.

I however will give the rom chefs the credit they deserve, and will take the time to try there roms out, I have always enjoyed cyanogenmod, but there are also many other roms that are fantastic, and work great with the sensation..hats off to the chefs....(slap yourself in face with dirty washrag now for being so inconsiderate)...all things aside...even if the cynogenmod is "your only choice"...you could be a bit respectful of the chefs....they work hard and take time out of there lives for this, for very little "payment", and the deserve everyones respect even if you dont use there rom....Have fun waitin for cyanogenmod..Im going to flash more roms....Dirty

There is absolutely nothing "inconsiderate" about not wanting to use a Sense-based ROM. No matter what the other chefs do (unless they build from AOSP), their ROMs will be bloated with Sense trash, and some of us don't like that one bit.

i was coming in this section to ask the exact same thing, are there any aosp roms, i dont care if its cm or not. i seen some roms in the dev section but most are sense or are not clear if they use sense or not.
i do not want sense, y did i get the phone you ask? i like the way it looks, i like the body and the screen and the dual core. i cant stand sense.

Follow Keyan Mobli (Kmob), he works for Cyanogen. He is working on bringing CM7 to the Sensation. So he's not really porting it, he's designing it specifically for the Sensation.

I think patience is what we need to have right now. Yes CM7 is coming for us, that is a given based on the screen shots we have already seen from kmob. Also, now that we have S-Off, I would expect that more developers will start to bring us their AOSP Roms. At the least we will see kanged versions of CM7.

Not inconsiderate... just the FACT... (in my case) will not waste time on ANY Rom... that's correct... any problems? I know every single ROM out there... from mike's Revolution HD... LeeDroid, CoreDroid bla bladroid... and non of them offer the true potential you can get out of your hardware as CyanogenMod does. RomManager full compatibility, and even the Android Store is full of CM7 customizations... ADW is really robust and there is no HTC Sence on this Earth that can get even close to ADW's complexity. Well that's only my opinion after years of installing Roms since windows mobile 3/4... Remember, we are all here to post comments and help each other...

If you put anything at all out on a public forum you have to expect there will be questions and responses etc. There are plenty of developers here who DON'T get mad when somebody asks a question for the 100th time. Just the little I've seen he seems like his ego gets in his way.

He developed on the X10 forum here on XDA (I still check out X10, but no longer own one).
It wasn't stupid questions, what dmcb123 stated was just one of the things.
He made good stuff. But a combination of poor decisions (not just Trip but others as well) and Trip's knack of being at the center of numerous controversies negatively affected the Dev boards before he moved on to Modaco. Honestly, when all this was going on, I quit my attempts at dev work (was starting to work on my own rom) - the whole atmosphere at the time was pretty poisonous.
Honestly, he's happy doing his work elsewhere. The devs on XDA are happy doing their work here.
Okay guys lets just stop talking about him, lets bring peace to xda

Made me laugh, he STOLE TAPS from Sony Ericsson! Look at the libs, they are ripped from the X10.
Also none of the ROM is owned by him.
Oh and through the whole thread NO kernel source, despite it INCLUDING a CUSTOM KERNEL.

According to HTC we won't be getting Sense 4 on the Sensation, from them anyway
It looks like there are at least 3 different Sense 4.0 ROMS being released. Each is more stable than the next but BT doesn't work yet. OrDroid, Insert Coin, and Virtuous.
Try them out and see what you like. I have heard that they are not yet to Daily Driver stable though.
My Two Cents.
Aside from blutooth, OrDroid 1.7.0 has taken over the reigns of Daily Driver from Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.0

I use InsertCoin since first Release and only Bluetooth is not working but the rest is rock stable and more than good enough as a daily driver.
Its from the OneS Release keys RUU ( not test keys RUU ).
Give it a try its the best One out there imo.

Dev section is for when you know.. you're a developer and want to share a ROM... not to ask stupid questions.
Why is everybody on here so damn rude? The poor guy clearly doesn't go on these forums much and posted in the wrong section. Chill the hell out and get off your high horse. Did anybody have a heart attack because they saw a post that wasn't in the right section? Or did anybody have to pay 500 dollars to get the post moved?
And about the ETA, it's clear that the OP didn't mean it as a way to push devs to release something. Obviously just wanted an estimation on a stable release. No where did he complain or whine about a release date.
Anyone with an answer could have just stated that it usually takes a couple of weeks months etc. Damn its annoying to see people think they are better than others because they have a higher rank or post count.

Why dont you use InsertCoin Sense 4 Rom?
Its fast stable and everything is working only Bluetooth isnt.
The rom is completely stock and the best Sense 4 rom off all i tried.
Give it a go and i promise you will be happy.

First of all, i'm not a Developer. And i know there's a huge amount of dedication into ROM building that's been put by our Devs into our sensation. whether that be time, work, researches, and sweat. I'm sure we're all grateful to every single one of them.
Just a personal statement before i possibly get flamed.
This is a call for something New on our device. i know sense 4 is much stable now, and probably in full 100% working state in few days. This is why i'd like to shed some light on the work of ParanoidAndroid Team. It's practically an AOKP/CM9 Tablet Mode/UI. Which i find to be stunning. I already tried it on the sensation with the help of a flash-able ZIP made by Xylograph and i gotta say, it's pretty sweet.
Now this attempt was first started on the Galaxy Nexus, and now it found it's way to other devices: http://betadan.com/paranoid/devices/
So, what i'm hoping at is that our device becomes supported as well. By both ParanoidAndroid Team And any Dev that would like to work on this ROM.
