Hi can I install beats audio on top of my ROM ,I'm currently running Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2.? If yes, do I simply download file to zip, recovery, install from zip, reboot? Or is their more to it? Also where would I find it? Looked but can't find? Or does it have to be included in Rom?

anyone?? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Have you tried dsp manager? It's what I use but yea beats can be added through recovery I believe you can find it in he themes and apps section or just search beats in the VI forum
Sent from my Sensation using xda premium
On the android market, search beats audio installer. Download, recovery, install reboot. It will not launch an icon etc when playing audio. Before you do it let me tell you I honestly thought it hurt my audio quality. I have dsp and voodoo sound which is outstanding. Once you install beats it is very hard to remove! Create a recovery zip before incase if you don't like it.

Beats audio is a marketing gimmick. Why would you want one single eq setting when you can set it any way you want? Forget beats audio and type equalizer in Google play.

Some people enjoy it, especially considering many people don't understand how to make an custom equalizer and the fact that a bass EQ is the most popular choice. Beats takes care of both issues since it's only one bass EQ and you don't have to set the levels yourself.
Edit: Honestly, it's also one of the better bass equalizers I've heard, and I've used DSP, PowerAmp, beats, and two or three others. Not too overpowered, just enough treble reduction.
Thanks for the tips everyone,I think I'll try the voodoo or the equalizer. After hearing from you guys. Thanks again for the help!

anybody can slide toggles up and down to make it sound exactly how they want to the same way they slide the volume to get it to sound exactly how they want it to. sheesh who do you think you're dealing with here? iPhone users?

Are you serious? Not everyone is technical like myself or you. Plenty of people don't even know what an EQ is. And that iPhone remark, how old are you? Don't be ignorant.
Sorry about grammer, posted from phone.
Like the iPhone joke Kevin! I'm not dissin beats. For me it really didn't work. Also, already having voodoo audio etc I feel like they were just competing. When I installed ICS Passion v13.1 on my vibrant, voodoo was pre installed. I really like the customization options. I wish beats had more of these options.

you must be an iPhone user...jeez if they can't figure it out that's what xda is here for. don't worry, you'll have an iPhone again...and one more thing, if someone doesn't know how to use an eq then they sure as hell don't need an android and why would they be on xda anyways? try not to assume that everyone else is an idiot please...thank you.

Yeah, I'm an iPhone user in the Sensation forum. I'm gonna go ahead and drop this one. Quit being ignorant.

Okay guys play nice. Save all that for a "Top ten reasons Android is better than iPhone thread".

Tbvfh one of the reasons I rooted my sensation is that I had to escape the enforced equaliser, I have invested in good in ear headphones without a Mic and it was either beats or bass boost if I used the HTC music player, plus that other players don't play well with HTC non stock lockscreen.

I would agree upon this one. And not only because of the people who not are any technical, but the fact that I'm a lazy bastard and actually like to get as much as possible just working by my standards out of the box.

First off, AXURA was done by Master, you would have to ask him, he jumped to Verizon and was using a Thunderbolt last I checked. AXURA was great, but he was known for his Galaxy S based roms.
Second. The DAC in the Galaxy S series of phones like the Vibrant/Captivate/Nexus S, are very nice and have alot of features like the Headphone Amp that are not enabled in the default drivers.
From http://project-voodoo.org/
Display/Color/Sharpness - Enhance and fine tune the amazing Super Amoled screen to provide the best results in different situations.
Sound - Improve Galaxy S sound by leveraging it’s top of the line audio chip, the way it’s meant to be leveraged.

Samsung was very nice in including a very powerful audio chip, what Voodoo did was improve on this and enable the features that it supported via a kernel upgrade.
We know the DAC in this phone based on a previous post I asked about which pointed towards, which is a Texas Instrument's TLV320AIC3254.
Third, please post this in Q&A

Hi, I'm a Sensation Owner, and I'm so happy with it, and I put the Revolution HD ROM, wich adds Beats Audio software, and I can tell I can feel it with Beats Headphones.
I'm getting a Xperia Play for my brother, and wanted to ask if there is a mod that work with xperia, it could be very cool, and awesome!
thanks!!!

I am not a dev but I found this on Droid views. I flashed it and it appears to be working for me on stock/rooted. It's suppose to be for the i9505 us/CA s4 models.
Here is a little more info as I normally do not post these types of things but figured I would as I have not seen this around in the Sprint S4 forums.
This seems to be working on stock rom. I'm running sacs custom v7 and it's working flawlessly also had it running on stock as well. Credit for this particular port goes to XDA senior member*noskojv*who has made the Beats Audio mod with Dolby sound available to us. If anyone tests on Aosp based roms please report if it's working or not. Thanks.

I've used beats on some of my other devices in the past and liked it. But the Viper mod blows it away.
I use my phone as an audio device while working out, riding and running and it makes a huge difference in the sound quality. Also even makes video playback sound better when viewing movies/stuff on flights - get that 'surround' sound thing going.
One thing about Viper that's important is the installation of the irs/kernel pack to get full benefit of the profiles.
Check em out, they're worth the look.
