Hi Guys
I have windows mobile 5 on my phone. I just upgraded the ROM to v 2.0.8.0 (in system information).
Is it possible to install v6 straight onto the phone, or will it not be possible on this phone. It is the hurricane - or the Qtek 8300.
If it is possible, then I would like to do it. But I dont know much about smartphones, so I was just wondering whether or not windows mobile v6 is even compatible with my phone.

I try many times to flah my htc under windows vista !
The process still crashing or not respond !
so i flash under windows XP. It's mor safe !
I think this problem is due to the new software of synchronisation include in windows vista.
But i haven't investigate more.

its the USB driver in Vista. It can be changed. Search my other posts.

I just tried last night to flash my device using my vista laptop and i just couldnt make it work.
The vista update utility is version 2.0x and i need a vista update utility 2.5.x or higher to update my G4 device
So I prefer flashin my device using my old Win XP. Any luck of a vista update utility version 2.5.x or higher??
I also follow the tutorial in modaco and i can tell you that If you have a G3 device using the vista update utility you wont have any problem.

That's because there is no official Windows 6.x rom. You can build your own or download a cooked one you like
Hi, can I upgrade windows version 4.20.0 on XDA 11 to 5.0, is it easy to do or would i need help, also where can i find the upgrade. I have tried lots of places but am not sure of exactly what I was looking for, thanks in advance for your help, I need version 5 for a program for work and dont want to buy need pda if possible, thanks

Hello, I have an xda iis from 02 and was wanting to instal a program on it that requires it to be running pocket pc 2002. It currently has Windows Mobile 2003 se. Can anyone help in in finding and installing the earlier version of operating system please?
