How to install WM2005?

Hey, I know this probably gets asked a lot, and I'm just missing, but I've scoured the wiki and forums, and I can't find a simple howto to get WM2005 installed on my Himalaya. Can anyone help me out with a simple "download this, click this, type that" kind of howto?
What are the benefits and drawbacks? Is it worth it or should I stick with 2003?
At the mo I'm running the latest update from the O2 site, is that 2003 or 2003se? If not is it possible to upgrade to se?

The process maybe tricky, but that's the only way.
The update isn't official. Xda-dev work.
If you're unexperienced user, you may run into trouble trying wm5.

2005 is a leaked beta release
2003SE in english is a manualy translated chinese version which also makes it unofficial
the latest official o2 release is 1.72
the latest official release for any himalaya device in english is 1.75

XDA II ugraded WM2003SE, possible upgrade to WM2005?

I have upgraded my XDA II WM2003 to WM2003Se quite sometime already, now I thinking if it is possible to upgrade my device to WM2005?
Can someone help me to give a good advise and where to get the download file of WM2005?

I already seen xda II with WM2005, but I cant sure if working...Please update

- 8 times upgraded devices! XDA II, IMATE, XDA.
- WM2005 interface is really good but poor on performance and
sometimes stop responding without doing anything with it (XDAII).
- WM2005 on XDA is good on performance.

how could i roll back from WM5 to W2003 ?

just put your device in bootloader mode , and upgrade to wm2003

Roll back from wm2005 to wm2003
roll back from WM5 to W2003.
- easy two steps:
1. roll back from wm2005 to wm2003se first
2. roll back from wm2003se to wm2003.
and than fresh reset

After having so much trouble with the ROM upgrade on my Universal (which is still in Miami getting a new board put in under warranty), it was nice to have this upgrade go so smoothly on my XDAII. So far it's been a dramatic improvement in usability. Thanks Buzz and all for the help.

What device do you have?

I have Audiovox SMT 5600 and the supported WM version in that cellphone is WM 5.0. Do you know from where I can download the WM 5.0?

I think that's HTC Typhoon, so try to look in Typhoon forum. However I am not sure, so you should make sure you really have Typhoon (otherwise you will brick your phone). It should say what phone you have in bootloader.

I got an O2 XDA mini S with Windows Mobile 5.0 and I want to know whether I can upgarded the OS to Windows Mobile 6.1?
This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=391927 looks really nice and I need to know whether I can use this Windows Mobile Version for my XDA? or are there any problems with this phone types?
One more question, the author of this thread says the "Touchflo-Edition" is his favorit, can you tell my why? What are the differec between Professional- and Touchflo Edition?

Yes you can upgrade to WM6.1 on your XDA Mini S I just did it for first time last week used below ROM.

Before you do the ROM I recommend using Windows XP because VISTA doesn't have full support for ROM updates. Also use the below guide first.

What is the situation of your devoce ?
How is your CID and SIM ? Locked or unlocked ? Which IPL/SPL do you have ?
Please check all this before you flash something ?

That is a personnal choice only, no one will tell you take this or that

Hm, but there are no recomments for SNN Edition ...

Why don't you try both see which one you prefer, personnally I prefer SNN Edition, it's quick and looks really great and has all functions I need.
Once You have unlocked CID and followed all the steps on the other post you can flash from one ROM to the other. I have tried about three so far.

Hi everyone.I'm new to windows mobile.
I want to upgrade my omnia 2 to 6.5.but i don't know how.
I live in a country that pcstudio wont update my phone.so i have to do it manually.
the things i want is a good,official and preferably newest 6.5 rom and the flasher and a good well explained tutorial.Can anyone help me?
And another question:what is this omnia 2's cooked rom that they took from hd2?is it good?does it have another way to be installed?

Samsung offers free upgrade from WM6.1 to WM6.5.
You can upgrade Omnia 2 via PC Studio. Get it from samsung's website.
