Already answering ur question .. just visit the website he mentioned. And u have to get some quote by adb (all procedure explain on website while doing the procesdure) then they email u some code and u have to enter it by adb. And u r unlocked.
But the question is still there from my side too that y its not s-off?

Ok thx,
and the answer why its not s-off are explained also on the site ^^
Why is my security still on (S-On) after I have unlocked my bootloader?
Your device is shipped with Security on (S-ON) to protect your system software configuration (such as the bootloader, radio, boot, recovery, system and others). After you have unlocked the bootloader, however, you will have lifted the restrictions on boot, recovery and system. This means you can customize boot, recovery and system images on your phone as you desire. You can easily see that you have successfully unlocked the bootloader by looking at the top of the screen when entering the bootloader screen. Security is left on to protect things like the radio, and SIM lock.

But suppose I also unlock my htc explorer via this site. And after I want to flash cwm recvry via rom manager. But my device is not listed in its drop down list from wich u have to select ur device before flashin.
What should I do in that case. If I flash somehow. Will mine be brickd or something
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App

Mhmh, i think the developer will add the Rhyme soon..
I would wait on each case...a brick is not excluded

The problem with unlocking the bootloader via HTC's site is IMHO that it's not only pointless, but you also loose warranty.
It's pointless for 2 reasons:
1. Most custom ROMs for other HTCs require the device to be S-OFF, so chances are low that the bootloader unlocking via HTC will give you any advantage in the future when it comes to installing custom ROMs.
2. If there will be any custom ROMs from the devs in the future, there surely will be a way to unlock/S-Off/root the device available before these custom ROMs will appear. This way will most likely be revertable, and you won't loose warranty.

There should be a Rhyme forum!

....so we need to vote to get one...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416406

I dont have this device, but i would be more than happy to do some for this device.
But without the device the stuff would be pointless
May be some donations will take me and help me getting this device

[Q] HTCdev error. "Unlock token check failed"

I get this error on the 12th step on htcdev bootloader unlock thingy and i get this error: FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
I have tried different methods but nothing have worked ...
I have tried to unistall and then restart and then installed all the drivers again 2 times, didnt work. I tried on my laptop and that wouldnt work either...
So if anyone know what this means or anything please answer on this thread!!
I also e-mailed the htcdev support and they said this: "Dear Pontus,
Thank you for contacting HTC.
I understand that you are experiencing problems unlocking your bootloader.
I think the root of the problem is that your unlock token is not valid.
To get a new, hopefully working, token go to HTCdev.com and follow the instructions there to download one."
Ive tried to do that also but it didnt work either so please guys help me out here!!!
what code did you enter on their site, did you take the first<<<<<(...)>>>>>
and the <<<<<<(...)>>>>> in the end also?

I have the same problem too , and my XE is new machine ,
i just buy it on January
i have the same problem... and i have also a new board... tried to unlock on windows and linux, both the same... feeled a hundred times...
maybe there is someone else out the who could us help?
Same problem
I try to use HTCdev again and again,
it's still not working,
and i also trying to get temproot to install cwmrecovery ,
i fail ,
i think maybe newest XE 's chip has something change on there .
why using htcdev?! use revolutionary! it's the best! better! what's your hboot version?
revolutionary not support yet
my hboot ver is 1.27
+1 for this problem.
Just got my sensation XE back from warranty repair, most upsetting I can't get root with this HBOOT

What Version of hboot Do you have now?
I get mine back from warranty repair with 1.29.0000, cause they put a new Board in it.
May be there is an experience developer who want an image of my Stockrom to check some possibilities?

yeah same as, 1.29.0000
I have the same problem. Only difference is that I got my phone back with HBoot 1.18.0000. I could't unlock it via revo and htc dev. After the ICS update I have 1.27.0000. New board, too I think their doing this for every sent in sensation, because my sensation had a broken volume button and dust under the screen. So changing the board was completly pointless.
Is there new news or solution to unlock bootloader?..i am on new matherboard.
I've got the same, rooted phone back from repair. ICS preinstalled, HBOOT 1.29 and can't unlock it. Don't fancy the 'juopunutbear' method bridging connections etc, sounds messy.
Whole list of parts replaced for the dust under the screen problem, board changed giving new imei, wifi mac, bt mac etc etc.
I've replied to my 'repair thread' on HTC website telling them of the problem, I bought HTC so I could unlock and use OpenVPN. Will see what they say!
OK, update from me. I've logged a support request with HTCDEV, after going through the usual check details / make sure it's not something I'm doing wrong they're escalating it.
Given them details of serial number, IMEI, android/sense versions etc and it's being looked into.
I'll come back here once I've had something new from them, but at least the problems being looked at.
I Get This From htc_dev when I send that i flash Unlock_code.bin FAILD:
With regards to your enquiry, kindly this message means that you still have update so kindly we ask you to have the last update then try to unlock your bootloader.NOTE: as we mentioned in our last email between us that unlocking bootloader will make you out of warranty.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
WTF this means ???

[Q] One S Dev Phone with root issues

So I bought a One S from craigslist about 2 weeks ago. The guy said it was a dev phone. At the top on the case is a tag of numbers and letters printed on the phone. When I first boot the phone it has a HTC splash screen along with the text
"This build is for development purposes only. Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's permission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action."
Booting into the bootloader I get this:
*** LOCKED ***
VLE XC SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-11111111
HBOOT-0.90.0000
RADIO-0.14.31.22_2
OpenDSP-v10.1.0.31.0221
eMMC-boot
Feb 21 2012,14:27:31
HBOOT
<VOL UP> to previous item
<VOL DOWN> to next item
<POWER> to select item
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
SHOW BARCODE
Also it came with CWM 5.8.1.5 already installed. I tried to use Hasoon's tool to install a more recent CWM but it wouldn't work.
I tried to unlock the bootloader using the htcdev site and token and that didn't work.
I was able to flash it with the UTB ROM using the existing CWM and it works but I cannot gain root access even though supersu is installed and I add apps to its list.
Any ideas on how to get root access?
Looking at your HBOOT version it seems like the device is on early software. You're already S-OFF, so you can try flashing the official TMO release ROM and follow the guides on XDA to root.

I don't see the official release. There is a thread here that says T-Mobile USA Complete Rom but there's no link to the actual ROM.
I thought reselling of these phones can land u into trouble ?

what about busybox? there's an app to install that if you don't have it

You could talk to the devs in the development section (as soon as you have your 10 posts) und help them to get s-off with providing informations maybe.
yeah man that would be a great idea, PM some and see if you can help them as for getting the bootloader unlocked, Unless HTCdev isnt working, there isnt much else yet.
why does it not work ? what errors does it give ?
hmm seems that I'm lacking some knowledge ^^
Is there any necessesity for unlocking the bootlaoder if the device already has s-off? Thouht that s-off would mean no security and full system access.
S-OFF means the NAND partition is writeable, When its S-ON this partition is locked (Security ON ), so with S-OFF we can customise even further, Flashing Radio.IMGs and lots more,
With unlocked bootloader we can do things like install a recovery and flash Root.
the perfect scenario would to have S-OFF AND Unlocked Bootloader.

Ah alright, I thought S-OFF would already allow to flash root.
nope usually when using an S-OFF tool, such as revolutionary, It will unlock bootloader at the same time..
surely theres someone out there can can do something really awesome with this developer phone !!

well it doesn't give me any errors, and says unlock successful, and just acts as if it went ahead and unlocked, but when i boot into the loader it still says locked. weird.
hmmmm..
maybe theres a command you can use in adb ? Im not sure..
I know the command to relock is ''fastboot oem lock'' maybe ''fastboot oem unlock'' might do something lol.
i have no idea as with most things in my life

two ways for you to get root
1.SOFF then one click root ..guide link in my signature
or easy way ..but probable (very slim) void of warranty
2. HTCdev unlock (chk this site unlock bootloader)
and the same one click root (guide in my signature)
You cannot gain s-off the normal way, kong story. You news to unlock bootloader via HTC devlock. This because u have ics stock, and therefore hboot version 1.27000. Them root and Them you van s-off via juponut...... something Luke that. Search and u will find.

Thanks for that, worked a treat.
Just a few quick questions:
1. When i boot up holding the volume down key it says S-Off however it still says locked at the top. I have managed to run the patch that needed root access so i'm guessing the phone is rooted fine.
2. Would it saying locked at the top pose a problem if i wanted to run a custom rom in the future and
3. Could i run a rom for the Sensation XL i.e overclocked processor and beats audio on my sensationand if so where would i find the rom?
Thanks Again

2. you can change the locked bootloader to juopunutbear HBOOT..it helps or makes your process simplified for flashing custom roms
you can use the KGS tool (EDIT 3) in my guide for flashing the juopunubear hboot
3.Almost all roms comes with beats audio and heck you can over clock your processor
first start with ARHD..as it has pre guided guide on how to flash it
just follow the below guide post #2 (only post #2 ...don't worry of firmware ..you've already got what is needed ) to flash custom recovery and then ARHD (read the guide to the letter)
FLASH ARHD XE ROM
PS: there is a way to say thanks in xda

Hello everyone, you may have heard of my unlocking tool for windows. It unlocks HTC devices and i am slowly but surely adding support for new devices. The sensation happened to be next on the list. I will be adding it to the official GUI app once this is confermed, so for now it is a batch file that needs testing. If you dont trust me for any reason, just open up the zip and view whats inside the batch file, i have nothing to hide Please report back any errors, not just "it dont work" I will ask the mods to look at those types of posts.

ok if unlock hboot 1.27 is very good news for sensation users but i can't help because i already have unlocked bootloader. Thanks for your work
in theory this will unlock any device in which the s-off method's root works. Jupno bear i think its called? I can change root methods, but the method inside is definitively solid enough to unlock with root.
Thanks for wanting to include the Sensation with your tool simonsimons34 we can always use good utilities to make unlocking and modding our devices easier. But just to let you know the Sensation already has two great tools. Here is kgs1992's Super Utitlity and the article featuring it just yesterday in the Portal. The Sensation also has the HTC Sensation 4G All-In-One Toolkit by hasoon2000 that is stickied in the Sensation Android development forum.
This does something the others cant :/ which is why i included it. This works for any hboot revision and any rom as long as you have root (or can get it with the method i icluded -thanks jcase for finding it) This Unlocks the phone WITHOUT the need to contact htcdev and submit a token. Sure it doesnt S-off or anything, but for new phones or phones which there are no ways to install roms except by contacting HTCDEV.com and voiding your warranty, this is a life saver. Just check out what it does before you say its already been done please. I mean no offence to you, just however am annoyed you posted saying its been done before you looked into what it does

Sorry man I did not mean to offend. I can not actually use your tool because I am already S-off with Revolutionary Hboot 1.17.1111. I downloaded your tool and yes this is awesome that your tool unlocks the bootloader. But did you actually look at the links I gave you? the Super Utitlity allows you to use Juopunutbear S-off without having to use HTC Dev Unlock first by utilizing the download from Unlimited.io (scroll to the bottom) wich is the website for the Juopunutbear S-off and it supports all Hboot versions, . So even though the Super Utility does not unlock the bootloader forsay, still the ability to not have to use HTC Dev has been done. But at the same time it has not been done. I am in no way trying to criticize you or your tool. What you have done is great and amazing work and most definitely has and deserves a place her. This tool will only make things easier for some users if not all. I just want to keep the facts staight is all.

[Q] Unbrading? S-Off?

Hi im new to HTC devices but i have experience with samsung devices and i just have a few questions
Unbrandingmy HTC Sensation 4G? what does this do and what are the benefits of unbranding my device?
S-OFF? what does this mean and what are the benefits of doing this to my device?
if someone could just tell me what they do that would be great, samsung never needed any of this for its devices?

Unbranding your device means to remove the carrier apps that you don't really need or want, any carrier boot animations, logos, stuff of that nature. The benefits are that you will have less crap on your phone and it won't be a walking advertisement for whoever you are on. Tmobus I assume since your on a 4g
S-off means you have full access to every part of the device much like you would with Odin. S-off means that the bootloader and all partitions are fully unlocked and you can edit whatever you like.
Benefits include being able to change firmware whenever you like, being able to downgrade whenever you like, being able to flash splash screens. (The static image that says htc before your boot animation starts up).
Were as if you just unlock your bootloader via htcdev not all the partitions of the device are unlocked, and you cannot downgrade your hboot or firmware. You also will need to enable 4exts smart flash in order to flash roms.
Its easier in the long run to just s-off your device as then you can do what you like, when you like and htc has no as in it. It also makes rom flashing a bit simpler as you don't need to worry about smartflash
Also this should have been posted in Q&A pal
