Hello I'm new to xda forum but I've been reading this forum for a while. I decided to flash weapon 3.0 and everything works great besides the battery use. It never wants to reset even when we try to charge it. I've seen some people say something about wiping the battery stats and I was wondering how you do that. Sorry if this has been answered but I searched but I couldn't find the answer.
Reboot in recovery then go to advance , wipe battery stats

Thank you. I appreciate it

So I've seen a few posts that suggest a factory reset will fix the battery drain problem with this phone...I am just curious as to why or how this would help. Other than not a very good battery I love everything about this phone.. thanks in advance

its got something to do with gsm polling too often.
the factory reset changes tjat value and helps with battery
but there are other issues with battery drain.

So will I notice a significant change in battery life if I do reset the phone?

it seems to be working for many others of u choose to read thru pages and pages of tjst discussion
but it doesn't hurt to try
I didn't need to do it myself but probably will anyway

Hi guys,
I was wondering if I'm the only one seeing it's battery stats wipe itself after (almost) every reboot no mather wich rom I use.
I'm running the latest recovery.
Is this behavior intended? Is it possible to prevent this?
Thanks
I get it too, makes it very difficult to track battery life. I don't think its intended might just be something broken because of a change that fixed something else.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this issue. Are you using ClockworkMod 5.0.2.0?
It looks like I have this issue since I updated my recovery a couple weeks ago but I'm too lazy to test
I am. Been for a while, maybe that's what's doing, no idea. I'm just as lazy lol.

I recently rooted my phone (last week) and have been getting into flashing roms. However i just read something about battery calibration. It basically said you should calibrate your battery after every flash so that you get your full battery life. (also said the battery itself is not being calibrated but the way android reads the battery is being calibrated)
is it true that you should calibrate your battery after flashing a rom?
if it is true, how do you calibrate the battery on the Infuse?
If there are more than one way to calibrate your battey, whats the best most efficient way?
Thanks in advance to all who help

Someone else might chime in on this, but I there is an option under advanced in CWM (red)(other colors ?) to wipe battery stats. Let a pro chime in first, I have not done it, just letting you know its there.
Thanks, now that you mention it i think ive seen that-its under advamced i think...but ill take your advice and wait for a pro to let me know if that works and if calibration is even necessary

I'm pretty sure I've read on more than one occasion that battery calibration is not needed on the Infuse...
EDIT: After a simple search, I found the thread where I read it...BOOM...
Thank you, I thought it wasn't needed, just wasn't sure.

First, sorry for the new thread & odd spot. I looked for 30 minutes to see if I was duplicating a question, but the search function on this app seems to do absolutely nothing. I also can't post in dev, yet; so I hope The Collective checks this forum.
R3velation works great, and looks even better; I'm very happy I gave it a look.
That said, I have 2 issues:
1. The battery drains FAST. Sitting idle with WiFi & Bluetooth turned off, I lose 50% of the charge in 6 hours. I'm still researching how to operate things like the voltage app that came with the ROM, but if anyone has tips I'd love to hear them.
2. The main reason for this post; sometimes when the screen is off, it just won't come back on. The only thing I can find that works is to remove the battery. Any ideas what this might be!?
Thanks to The Collective for this awesome ROM!

Question 2 is a sod which they are working figuring out what is causing it. add for battery drain there is an app on the forums called better battery stats you may have to search for it on a computer to find it because i agree the search on this xda app sucks. But that app will help find the cause of the battery drain

I'm having a major issue with R3V v2 and I need help fixing this ASAP because it is the best ROM I have flashed to date!!!! Everything works like clockwork except data. I can send text messages but any other app that requires a data connection does not work (no network connection). Does this sound like a modem flash error? X- I downloaded the ROM from your sig.
Have you tried re-flashing? I had a similar issue with a different ROM on my tablet. Re-flashing the ROM fixed it.

Yes, I had tried re-flashing the original ROM I had downloaded for Experiments signature. That file might have been faulty? idk. Last night after posting about my issue and not wanting to wait another moment to enjoy this awesome ROM I did some research on XDA and found a post where Nun had a link to download R3V v2 but the file had the letter "F" at the end so I figured it to be a different file. Long story short, a little late for that huh? IT WORKED!! Thanks to the Collective, especially Experiment for this splendid ROM.
I know, right? This ROM is the nicest I've seen for Android, yet. Run R3velation OTA, and look at some of the further mods you can get for it. Under "Themes", there's one called "Mongo Toggles (blue)" by X and Mongo41. It looks VERY sweet. The light amounts of blue mixed with the beautiful toggles for the quick panel are awesome. I need to get in touch with them and ask them to make one that has purple in place of the blue. I'd never need another theme if I had that, heh.
Glad you were able to get up and running.
Did you battery life ever smooth out? There is a typically a period of three days or so where you need to wait for a rom to, "settle" before the battery will calm down. Then it should start acting much better.
The SOD issue is one that has been driven to the point of extinction. I ran R3V for a long time, and had no issues. I am now running another rom, and I am having issues. It's all what your phone likes and doesn't like I think. Good luck figuring it out man.

It's still draining fairly quickly. I didn't get that battery stats app, because it's a pay app, and I don't have the money until payday.

I had the same battery trouble as you. I flashed the KL2 modem over the LB3, and now my batty life is hundreds of times better.

Thanks for the heads up. I just put the KL2 on the phone, we'll see how that does me.
Maybe it's my imagination, but this modem seems awesome. Battery life seems to have tripled, and I'm not dropping calls at the dead spots in town. What all does the modem cover, just phone & AT&T data? It doesn't handle Bluetooth or WiFi, does it?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
As far as I understand, a modem is only responsible for pulling the voice and data connections from your provider. The best explanation I've found on it is from this thread here:http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22913686&postcount=1
That's what I thought (I had originally misunderstood, and thought there was a modem for voice, for data, for WiFi, for Bluetooth...found out a couple weeks ago that was wrong).
Anyway, that KL2 modem is great. I've only lost 13% of my battery in the last 9 hours with WiFi, Data, GPS, and auto-rotation all turned on. This is as opposed to 50% in 8 hours with WiFi only turned on. (Idling both times, as I was asleep.) It also seems to not be affected by the same dead spots the other modem had, as I didn't drop calls while driving past them like I used to.
I keep getting a FC when trying to open play store help please

L2 modem
has anybody flashed this modem over a stock setup (rooted of course)
Hey all. Thanks in advance. I have searched.
On my old moment, everyone was absolutely firm that you needed to charge your battery to 100% before flashing a new ROM. If you did not, the battery would lose performance as the ROM would assign 76% (or whatever your battery was at) as the new 100%.
In any case, just wondering if the S3 is the same thing. I would love to flash the new synergy, but I am at 54%... :crying: Some of the posts I have read suggest that I do not have to be at 100% just to have ample charge to make it though the flashing process...
So should I wait until 100%?
Is that the same as resetting your battery stats? If yes, it's been debunked. Flash away.

No, I've flashed at like 10% and everything has ran fine, the only problem I would imagine happening is if the battery runs out while flashing.

Thanks to both! I have flashed away!
Hah! I flashed the other day at 3% and didn't catch it till it was already rebooting. Luckily I know that when I flash, which is just just about every day, that it only takes about 1 minute anyways!

On the droid x, there's no way to boot into recovery from a powered off state. If you flashed a rom and it didn't work (which happened a lot) and had a low battery, you would either have to charge externally or use a different battery. People would freak when it happened for the first time.
