i cant create goldcard cuz i dont know the sd card cid "i cant using adb on fastboot"
Plz tell me what can i do???

Well, I'm not sure there is a lot to do when you're S-ON. But I would give Android Flasher a try. It worked for me, even if adb couldn't recognize my phone.

Thanx my friend i will try it

Android flasher doesnt work with hboot S-ON.
U can make gold card on other android device. And then, u can run RUU Europe 1.28.
If you can't, you can take to Services or S-OFF by XTC-clip

I had the same problem, but do not dispair you can fix this.
Obviously one point you have missed on the whole goldcard thing is that you dont have to use ADB or your bricked phone to find out the CID, put it into a card reader and use your PC. So onto making yourself a goldcard.
The process of creating one is rather hit and miss, but I eventually got one to work. Make sure you use an MicroSD card that is 2GB or smaller as any larger than this and it's a SDHC card and wont work. I used a old 1GB Sandisk card my girlfriend had spare. Have a look on the forums for a goldcard.exe file to run on windows to simplify the process, I found this worked when the forum described method did not. Keep trying with this as it took me many attempts to get a working goldcard.
From your post it sounds like you want to install the cool new Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0. Your problem is your phone will not take the European RUU 2.10.401.5 as your phone is from another region - 1.47.415.1 (india?) and got screwed up in the process. The bold part of the software version number relates to region. Mine was from Thailand and the european update worked when installed with my goldcard.
When you have your goldcard created you need to extract the ROM.zip file from the RUU (just run the exe and look in your PCs temp directory whilst the exe is open, it unpacks itself there) and then rename this to PG88IMG.zip. Put this file onto your goldcard and then power on your Desire S whilst holding the Vol. down button.
If you still get errors like 130 or 140 your goldcard is not made correctly, so try again.
Once you have the new update working take yourself to htcdev.com and unlock the bootloader, then you can flash CWM recovery and root it as well.
Hope this helps

thanxxxxxxxxx all really i miss these solutions because i was very confuse
thanx again for all i will try it and give u my feedback

One tiny correction on this part, I use a 16GB SanDisk Class 6 GoldCard. Means its an SDHC and I haven't had any problems with it.

[Need help] sappImg.nbh for Japan docomo HT-03A (HTC Magic)

Good day.
first I will explain what I did...
I rooted my magic and flash the t-mobile myTouch 3G's rom without any problem. But what I want is to install Taiwan's rom. So I downloaded the RUU released by HTC taiwan and run it. The result of this action was failed during checkin the module ID. and it cause my phone stuck in RUU USB screen. I cannot enter neither fastboot nor adb. What i found out is I have a chance to recover my pone if i reflash the docomo's rom. So I need some help in looking the sappImg.zip or sappImg.nbh for Japan docomo ht-03A. Is there anyone who know where to get the file? Please help me...
Thank you.
is there a RUU for the image you need ? if yes , just run it and it should work, having a goldcard will bypass the ID peroblem to flash the Taiwan ROM. just put it in and restart then run RUU again.
When you run a ruu it will make a directory inside your temp (%temp%) and a zip file normally called rom.zip is there , rename it to sappimg.zip and you have got the file you want!

I tried to create a gold card. But not success... can I used the old card of the other people? or it should come from my unit?
Thanks.

you can use an old card.
read the entire thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4577777
I'm also looking for Docomo's sappimg.nbh or correct SPL for docomo ht-03a.
Does anyone can make nbh file????
Dude forget it. Just make a gold card - 10 minutes is all it takes and flash to official taiwan rom which is by far the best rom at the moment. Cooked roms don't come even close to its speed and stability.

I need the sappimg.nbh for this device as well, because now it's dead.. anyone has it??

thanks in advance
On the forum have posted a lot of similar info!
- use brain
- use search button
And the answer is:
- use goldcard
Create goldcard from sdcard to avoid checking Customer ID. It is simply method, but i notice, that some sd cards and some devices are not compatible with this process
You must find following: a computer (notebook) with Ubuntu (or Linux-based OS) and built-in cardreader. But i you have friend with Android-phone process will be simpliest.
There is a problem getting CID from cardreader, that connected through USB-port to computer, because Ubuntu mounts sdcard from cardreader as physical storage, not as device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572683
There is instruction of creating Goldcard.
attention: Step 20 is for Hero only
At this step you must use any RUU ROM with version 3.03.XXX for Magics (HK Vodafone-Smartone, Singapore, Malaysia - does not matter). You cann't use old RUU ROMs, cause you flashed a new perfected SPL already. It doesn't allow downgrading.
p.s. there is an alternative method getting CID in Ubuntu

thanks
thanks for your help i will look in to it , i did search the forum but there seems so many different ways people have managed to restore thier phones , have contacted htc as well for a real copy in ruu format as iam sure they must have it on their ftp and will if i get it upload it and post it here on the forum for any users with the same model from belgium to restore back thier original rom
no goldcard
apple macs suck , iam unable to make my sd card as it cannot be seen in dos commands , will have to wait until i can get hold of a real computer so i can try again
No need for a goldcard you can do it right way
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589722
read the post then take a look post 35 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5033743&postcount=35
what you need is change the files so you have the hero spl and hero recovery and this new radio inside the file now you can ron ruu (as explaind in #35 ) you should end up with a eng S-OFF SPL and the new rom then it is posiable to recover back to an older ROM if you want , search newxt time for a topic not just for recover a dead phone!
remember new radio = new SPL first then maybe downgrade,
is it in RUU mode or just fastboot ?
any ways you should fix it using these links
cheers
will read and try out the links you gave thanks and its a ruu mode my phones stuck in
It cann't help to peekie.
Because his phone have perfected SPL 1.76.0007 already.
It doesn't allow to flash other SPL. We've tried with my friend, but RUU doesn't flash eng SPL if phone have perfected.
I flashed successfully, cause i have eng SPL 1.33.2010
p.s. Goldcard needed for RUU Update, cause Customer ID is different between HongKong and Romania =)
up and running
thanks to all your tips i managed to get my phone back to life using my wifes htc hero ( she was away for a few days ) made the magaic card and flashed the vodafone rom , htc were useless and said i had a vodafone version ( as i live in holland ) not realising it was a second hand one from belgium and yep its very fast and cool now , merry xmas to all
can anyone help me with this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5175739#post5175739

[Q] Validation error: Backup CID missing

Hello everyone,
I recently got this HTC desire shipped from Hong Kong. It contains certain preloaded apps in chinese that I am unable to get rid of. I tried rooting it with unrevoked 3.32 however I get the error Validation error: Backup CID missing... Are there going to be any future releases of unrevoked that would fix this problem or am I never going to be able to root the phone in order to remove this crap!!
i got mine on ebay and it is T-Mobile branded, i tried to root it several times with Unrevoked 3.32. i got the same error: validation error....... don't know how to do
@rishu88: after few hours of searching and trying methods founds on xda dev and others site, i found that we need a goldcard before rooting. i created my own goldcard then rooted with unrevoked 3.32. just one thing, before using your SDcard do a full format on windows with fat32 (not a rapid format) it'll take a while but it's better look at here for how to creat a goldcard: UnlockR
hope i'm helping you mate

no need of a zip file to get root access, you just have to creat your gold card, insert it in your desire, download Unrevoked and follow this tuto, and all is done
Doesn't work
I created my glod card, and used unrevoked 3.32, but still get the same error, Validation error : Backup CID missing, My phone is htc desire , orange branded.

hello Gabis and welcome to XDA-DEV forum my htc desire also was orange branded and with SLCD sceen not Amoled but i followed the steps from that site and i rooted it using unrevoked; just one thing, not all memorycards can be gold cards try a kingstone 2Gb, almost everyone has confirmed that it works! personally i used a sandisk 2Gb and the 2nd try, it works. when the goldcard is ready and operational, unrevoked can root your Desire without any problem. we'll stay in touch, okay? peace.
Guys, I had the same problem, HTC Desire, 2.2, branded Orange, but found this guide and it worked like magic. No goldcard needed or anything.
http ) //rootmydroid.co.uk/guides/howto-fix-the-backup-cid-missing-error-on-unrevoked
I used the first method described. Good luck

[Q] Getting the CID from a micro SD

I've recently semi bricked my HTC Wildfire so that I can only get into Hboot/fastboot. No recovery or system boot. After doing some research I've found that using a the gold card method would be a way to recover my phone.
However, not being able to get into the phone means no adb which cancels out the initial method of gaining the CID to create a goldcard. Is there another way to do so? I have a windows mobile 6.5 device (LG Eigen) lying around here if that would be of any use in getting the CID so I can create a goldcard and fix my Wildfire.
Thanks

[Q] Need help rooting my friend's sensation, mine has been rooted successfully.

Ok So my friend from work wanted his sensation rooted after I did mine. He has S-OFF and has sucessfully permanently rooted it with the SU-bin 3.03 blah blah zip file. I've succesfully rooted my own with CID of 11111111 and used 4EXT recovery to install the 3.24 firmware. He, however, gets the known boot loop problem, which I know is due to firmware not being upgraded. I can't for the life of me connect his phone and have ADB connect to it to change his CID.
I've got the same exact model phone, down to the same carrier, so I have the HTC sensation USB drivers (HTC sync) installed on my pc. It won't detect it though because of it not being able to boot into android's OS.
I'm attempting to download a rom that is based off of the stock firmware hoping this will solve my problem, but wouldn't mind any insight on it.
Well, if i got it right you just need to pick a firmware flashable for that phone without supercid, am i right? In that case there's the topic where you can find all firmware adjusted to a particular CID, grab that from your phone, put into your sd (you may want to put a ROM to flash too), then put your SD with the matching firmware onto his phone, reboot and it's done! Finally swap again the SD card.

Yes I would think so, but I can't figure out what current CID he has on his phone because I can't boot up into android's OS and connect to my phone on my PC with ADB (adb devices shows up, but when I try to set the CID it wont work).
Fails to "set" or fails just the command? Because if its only a "set" issue, the command may (unlikely) work and show you the cid! Or we can try to find it out with some info like brand/country/etc ..
Figured it out, had to do with the sync cable I was using. used a different one and i was able to set the CID to 1111111 or w/e. Installed the new firmware and the silly boot loop stopped.
Sent from my Asus Transformer of The Prime Kind.
