Hy...
Changed from sense to cm7 (hyper sensation)
i always disable mobile internet network, gprs, bluetooth etc. only connection for phonecalls and sms/mms was enabled.
if i need mobile internet, i enable manual.
the problem is since i changed to cm7 i need to enable mobile internet connection to send mms and becoming new ones.
is there a trick to say the sms/mms apk (now i try handcent sms) use temporary internet connection to send or download a mms???
"htc sence 3.5" does it before. i never had to enable the internet connection...thanx...
never mind... the set up is up to date. the swisscom mms APN set up is exactly how it should be. there is just no blue point like for the other gprs APN.

Is there a way to get the XDA II to use Orange GPRS for internet, and Orange MMS for picture messaging. They are both configured and when left on auto pick it always choosed MMS. So the internet dont work. IUf i fix it to GPRS the internet works but MMS doesnt.
I use My Work Network to connect the internet and private networks, because i also have WiFi for Active sync and internet whilst at work and home.
If i set use MMS for private networks, the MMS and internet work, but active sync doesnt. I am going mad, and Ornage wont help.
Ok, my operator uses 2 different connection, one for data, and another for MMS. The problem is that when I receive new MMS, my device connects the data connection, and the MMS can't be downloaded through it. How can I configure my device to use the MMS connection for new MMS, and the other one for everything else.
i dont think it possible as this is set by the operator so you can be priced correctly
Actually this is quite common, my carrier also does this.
What you need to do in connections is have the data settings (for internet use etc) in the My ISP part and the MMS settings in the My Work Network section.
Then click advanced tab in connections. Ensure in the "programs that automatically connect to the internet.... says My ISP" and in the "programs that automatically connect to a private network...... says My Work Network".
This should work and does indeed work on both my devices.
I'll give it a try.
And yes, it's made to be taxed correctly, I have to be taxed for data connection, but not, when I'm receiving a MMS .
Hi All,
Does anybody know how to make Arcsoft MMS automatically disconnect my internet connection and connect the mms connection when it needs to send/receive MMS.
Currently I have to:
1. Go to Connection Settings
2. Switch to Optus MMS Settings
3. Switch out and wait for Arcsoft to send/ receive
4. Switch back to Optus Internet Settings
In v4 I know that it would automatically do all this for you (as it should!). I am using version 5.0.43.116.
Sorry to do this but.. bump
(I can't be the only one annoyed with this problem)
Anyone noticed that o2 has changed their network setup?
I'm a regular ROM flasher and when i start the connection it used to connect to "O2 UK" but now it gives you the option of "O2 postpay" & "O2 prepay".
(I choose the postpay option)
The problem I have is with my MMS server now that i have to choose postpay or prepay...
When connecting using the old connection MMS wouldn't connect to wap for anything other than MMS, but now it will connect for anything (i.e. email, weather, opera/IE, etc)
Does anyone know how to make my MMS server to only allow MMS to use it for connection? (I'll be using Mobile internet connection for other connections)
(Already using 'Data Connection' program to turn it off when not needed but what a hassle!)
Hy, i'll try it again.
In Sence Roms the sms/mms application starts the mobile network connection self to send or recieve mms.
CM7 Rom (Hyper sensetion 0.8M) dont do that. i have to enable the connection by my self.
my mobile network is allways disabled untill i need it (browser, mail etc.) to save battery.
is it possible to whrite into the mms app or CM7 that they should enable the network temporarly automatic to download the mms data????
Sory for my bad english. thnx much for help...
