So I'll have a widget up, and I'll long press it, and I get a few options. Delete, info, market and choose catalogue. Whenever I hit choose catalogue, ADW crashes. Anyone else have this problem?

Ran into the issue where the lockscreen shortcut wasn't showing the Phone in the list. It was kind of pissing me off, so I made a simple app that will simply launch the Phone app. That's it. It's just a shortcut essentially.
Install as a regular APK.
I've named it "Phone" in the app drawer and gave it the same icon (as seen in screenshots below). I can rename it to like Dialer or something if you guys prefer to be able to distinguish it, but I'm sure this will do the trick for the majority who have this issue.
Works great thanks! It was pissing me off too after flashing ROMs it would dissappear
Thanks

How do you install this on your sensation? I tried clicking the link and installing as a regular apk as I normally would and it says the content is not supported on the phone. No application can be found to open this file. I even tried scanning the QR Code and it doesn't seem to work as well. Any suggestions? I appreciate your help as I am a noob on here.

Install astro and look in options, there should be a setting to enable all downloads from the internet.
Man, thanks so much for this APK. Just ran into this issue myself, and your solution worked out perfectly.
Any help for this issue? Got a "The application DialerShortcut (process com.roman.dialershortcut) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. This happens everytime I try to press on the shortcut. DUDE! You ROCK!!! This just happened to me today ans it was really pissing me off. I was trying everything I could think of short of a factory reset. Thanks you saved me from having to wipe my phone.

Hi Roman,
Do you mind sharing this piece of source code? I am newbie and want to create a shortcut to other applications in the draws. Thanks.
so this is my first post! =) and i wanted to post in development but i need at least ten posts so if you guys can help me out with this issue or post about it in development under the alien build #5 thread to let rom racer know. ok well i love the rom absofuckinlutley works great! one problem i found is that if you are unsuccessful in moving apps/folders from page to page they actually get stuck in between pages and you cant delete them there just kinda there and annoying any help would be great, maybe someone else has ran into this problem but i just dont want to do a reset since i finally got my phone fixed up how i like it thanks! if you dont understand me ill try and clarify and post screenshots of problem thanks! EDIT btw i did read the WHOLE article in android development and didnt find anything on this issue thanks!
Hmm couldnt just cancel the edit you were doing? It requires you to save...
Haven't been able to get anything stuck, it always managets to drop the item wherever it was heading.

If your using touchwiz launcher, you xan go to manage apps, and click on TWlauncher. Theres a button that says clear cache. Clear it - it will reset the launcher to default.

This should work. But are you saying it's stuck even if you re-boot the phone? If so that is really strange.
Or, you can try downloading a different launcher from the Market. I personally love Go Launcher Ex (with Honeycomb Theme--separate download from the market). Let's you multi-select apps for your homescreens which makes it quick and easy to set up.

thanks that fixed it! but ya my apps were stuck in between pages it was really weird ha thanks a bundle!
This may not be the correct place, but I figure one of the devs may know the answer.
On the Atrix 2, from the (stock) homescreen, I press the apps button and my apps show as normal. Usually, from there, I can press search and type "market" and market will show. This works for all my installed apps. However, recently, when I press search from app drawer, the whole home screen force closes.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Will I be able to "app search" by hitting the search button once I'm in the ADW launcher's drawer?

Kind of. When you press the search key in ADW's app drawer, it takes you to the Google Search application, where you can change what you search for in the settings.
This is apparently an issue with a recent Google Search update. This is a rather widespread issue with all Blur devices if you have the latest Google Search installed from the market. Thekooliest over at Atrix Forums found a bit on Droid-Life about it. I however do not know if there is a fix for the A2 for it. Try uninstalling the Google Search update.

How do I get dedicated apps (YouTube, Play Store) to open links and not the browser/chrome?
The only way I have found it to work is to not have a browser installed. On my tablet links open up the apps but with my Rezound the browser takes over and by default opens all links.
The settings don't mean anything and no prompt even comes up when clicking a link asking what app I want to use to open said link, it just goes to the default browser automatically.
It like this on three ICS roms on my Rezound I've used.
There is a App Associations setting in the settings menu that seems to be messing up the way that it works.
From my experience...go into the settings menu of the the handset and select apps. Next scroll to your current browser under the applications list and click on it.
Then scroll down all the way and select 'clear defaults'. Confirm. That should do the trick and whenever u click on any link in any app it will prompt you to select an option such as YouTube or browser instead of just opening up automatically in a browser.

That's the deal, clearing defaults doesn't do anything . There is no more prompt, just launches the browser.

Did anyone resolve this issue? I also have link association issues unique to ICS as well. For instance, I used to (w/gingerbread) be able to click a video link in google+ then it would ask what I wanted to view the video with (browser or YouTube), now all web links open in the browser only, no questions asked... What is with that? Same with links in gtalk.
Nope it a HTC issue

Anyone using a custom launcher in place of sense? Just curious what other people are using and why...
Nova launcher
Customization, and the option to hide the dock if I chose.
M8, nuff said.
Nova, mainly for gestures.
Nova launcher is by far the best I've used it on my maxx hd and using it now on the M8 and it's good I like the customization it has it's just good nuff said..
Nova here too. I am comfortable with it, it is extremely fast, and I can make it act exactly how I want.

I use Nova.. turned on wallpaper scroll but doesn't seem to work.. anyone else get the wallpaper to scroll?
Aviate here. I've tried to warm up to BlinkFeed but I guess I don't feel like I need all that content on a home screen. Aviate has been my goto launcher for a while now...

There's an option to "force" wallpaper scrolling in the settings and that is what you need. For some reason all of the HTC devices I owned required this?
I'd like to use Nova and still have access to blinkfeed. Creating a shortcut to it like you could do with the M7 isn't working on the M8's software.

I've got it working on my M8 with Nova, Follow these instructions and when choosing the activity choose the category HTC Blinkfeed, then choose the HTC Blinkfeed that has 'Launcher' written below it.
To get access to Blinkfeed with one of these launchers, follow these steps:
1. Clear the defaults of the current default homescreen launcher. This is done under SETTINGS/APPS. Click on the default launcher. Scroll down and find the clear defaults button. Click it.
2. Press the home key. You should now have a choice of which launcher to use. Select HTC Sense.
Click "One Time Only".
3. Delete all home screens except blink feed. Clear the apps out of the dock. (Optionally you can keep the homescreens and icons in the dock if you wish, deleting them makes a clean Blinkfeed only setup that I prefer).
4. Press Home. This time choose you preferred launcher and tap Always. This should take you to your home screen under the new launcher.
5. Create a custom shortcut. In most launchers you long press the homescreen and choose add or add shortcut. When asked to what you want to create a shortcut you will be choosing an Activity, not an App.
Just installed Nova and love it. Its the closest to stock android IMO. Plus I now can scroll left and right on the app drawer lol. Scrolling vertically was driving me nuts for some reason.

I don't currently have it installed but there should be an option somewhere in the settings to force it. I will get back to you...
should be here: Nova settings > Desktop > wallpaper scrolling > force ( try a beta version of Nova if one is available?) They may have taken this option out?

They may have removed it.. I only have On/Off/Reverse.. I'm a member of the beta so I'll check in there..
Wonder why they would have removed it though... Damn them!
EDIT: Try this @jbarcus81 and it should help.

play around with the settings but I am pretty sure if you set it as a live wallpaper in the settings it will make the wallpaper scroll. Let me know as I am curious too.
