Lg optimus 2x apps for tmobile g2x

Please post compatible appls that work on g2x
Currently installed weather/clock widget and confirm working
Also lg memo widget apk,and lg calendar widget also working

I'm using the LG Weather/Clock Widget that I used on my Nexus One. Works well. '
Of all the stuff that was available, that was the only thing that tickled my fancy.

havent tried any yet, but merely a suggestion for this thread... how about providing links to lg apps that are confirmed working, turn this into a one stop shop for people

Where can I get that lg weather widget. And can I use it even if I'm not rooted? Thanks

Memo Widget force closes on me every time I try to launch it from desktop.
I'm using SPB Desktop.

You should definitely put all of your links/attachments in the OP so people don't have to go looking around for them

No. Extract the .pak files from the zips. Transfer them over to your phone via USB and use a file explorer program to install the apks.

Downloaded some of the .apk files straight to my phone... the only one that doesn't work correctly would be the calendar widget... when I click on the day it goes to the first of the month *__*

yeah i noticed taht also but you can go to the current date pressing another area i forget whre but i got there. but all other dates go to the first

i tried ot check this out but cant even find how to change it from the frequenlty called area. how do you choose other stuff?

would the keyboard work, or would it need some lib files added and such??? I hate trying to get the right spot on the text field with just my fingers, would like the "bump the side of the phone" option.

[Q] Phone Lock Transition

Hi,
So the other day I was checking out a friend's Nexus S. When he locks it the screen turns off like an old school tv. Does anyone know how I could get that on my S4GS? Let me try and find a link on YouTube to show what I'm talking about.

CM7 has that too. I believe it's in framework-res.apk, but I could be wrong. Try the UOT kitchen. Instructions are pretty easy, but be sure you pay close attention to them

If you look in the market for an app called "screen off and lock" it will give you different animations for you to choose that will enable it. But all the app does is to create a shortcut of the app on your home screen so you will have to tap it in order to show the animations. It doesnt work by pushing the physical lock button. I know this might not be what you're really looking for but its worth a try as a work around if you want some lock animations.

There's no point in getting stuff off filesharing sites when there's at least a couple free ones in the market already

The free gingerbread keyboard in the market works fine for me. After using the Nexus S since day one, it's hard to go back to a non multitouch keyboard.

How do you guys activate alternative keyboards? Mine is always popping up the default HTC kb no matter what I have enabled @ settings.
I've tried Swype, Better Keyboard and the one mentioned in this thread and none of those will activate. Already tried to reboot without luck
My chosen keyboard stays selected @ settings though even after reboot.

open your browser or create an email or just open twitter. When you see the input box and when the kb pops up. LONG PRESS the input box. Another box should pop up with a mini menu where you would choose "input method". If you have selected keyboards to alternate from in your settings then you should see a selection of installed keyboards. GL

That did the trick! Thanks! Already spent couple days trying to figure out my way (this is my first droid-powered phone so didn't know such thing as long press on text-box).

I had an issue with the same thing and this seemed to fix it:
The most accurate recognition will be achieved when all the training images are taken directly from front (i.e. no profile images etc.). Also, you should take training images in different illuminations (in those environments where you usually use your mobile). Sufficient amount of images per person is about 5 to 10.
give it a shot and see if it changes!

had the same thng, but i just set a password and used that instead of the facial recognition. works for me.

Not a problem! I did the same thing! If you like my share hit the "thanks" button!

It doesn't seem to work on a rooted Evo. Every App I lock goes to the face program then the app starts anyway.

been using this all day here and i must say im impressed. now i just need this to work with the "stock" lock screen (take the place of a pin pass or pattern). that would be amazing.

Im rooted running synergy rc1 and it works fine. Try wiping the app data and uninstall and then do a fresh install and see if that helps.

I was thinking the same thing! That would be a kick ass feature.

I am running the latest MIUI and this works fine. Awesome application. My only complaint is that on MIUI you can drag applications to the top of the screen for an uninstall. If you do that with the app, it will remove it and then you can access whatever you want on the phone. Obviously nobody is going to really know that they can do that unless they are familiar with MIUI, but still something to nag about.

Same here so what I did was place it in a folder and selected the HIDE APPLICATION option that way it cannot be found

That's what I ended up doing as well. Worked really well since you can't delete the folder with something in it, but you can't find what's in it.
Also, I found that if you hit the home key while the app is loading, it cancels the protection out.
Say you have it protecting messages. You click on messages and while the screen is blank for a second or two (The camera security is loading), hit the home key. Now open messages again and it doesn't lock you out.
Just me or others too?

Yep i tried that and it actually turned off the app to where i was freely able to go in and out of it without security

I just tried it and the same thing happens.

Where is the sound recorder?

Where is the sound recorder app? I see it listed under manage apps but its not in my app drawer. And no I didn't disable it. Just did a factory reset so nothing is disabled. How do you access the sound recorder?

Or by installing a 3rd party one from market
Alternatively you can opprn the command prompt and type begin, writeln(LOL), readln; end. But that is only for hackers cuz we do it the hard way

haha I'm talking about the stock app. I dont havce a widget for it either. But the "Sound recorder" app shows up in manage applications. I just dont see a way to run it. It's odd every other phone I had, had the app in the app drawer

if you can see it in Manage Apps then try to search for it from the Home screen. I know the Dock Mode doesn't show up in my App Drawer but I an run it if I search for it.
& yes, TMOUS did take it out along with some other things.

good tip for the dock mode, i always saw it running, but never saw the app before
but voice recorder doesnt show up under that search, even when i enter the package name :/

Go to the market & download "any cut". Open it & select "new shortcut" & then select "activity". Once the list loads, scroll down till you find the entry for the sound recorder. Select it, follow the prompts, and it will add a shortcut to the sound recorder to your home screen. Voila- sound recorder.

You do know that it's HTC that does the software modifications that T-Mobile requests, right? So it's slackass HTC, not T-Mobile.
On another note, I agree that T-Mobile does always seem to request removal of useful things and add crap like MyAccount. We can get that off the market if WE want it. My best guess is that by the time they are done adding they're crap too much just is running the background so they start removing other stuff.
