[Q] Help with apps - TF 101 revolution HD 2.1.1 - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just installed Revolution on my TF and now when I go the market, non of the apps I have previously bought/downloaded are there and it seems like I have to start over.
I bought a bunch of stuff and none of it seems to be available any more - any thoughts?
Thanks in advance all.

if you bought something and it is not on the market any more your kind of out of luck not sure of the legality of downloading the apk considering you already bought it but you might want to contact the developer of hte app and ask them if they can send you the apk

If you used the same google email then any apps you already bought will be available for download for free assuming they are compatable with the TF. Your purchases are linked to your google email address and not your device

[Q] Anyone else unable to purchase apps?

I'll copy/paste from my issue on Google's tracker:
I have an Asus EEE Pad Transformer (TF101) with the latest update: HRI66.US_epad-8.2.3.13-20110511
When visiting the Market, I am only presented with Free apps in the Featured section of each category.
I can search for, and find, paid apps. However I cannot purchase them. It returns the following error: The item you were attempting to purchase could not be found.
I am able to purchase some of the apps with my Phone. I can either go to the web based market and purchase them for my T-Mobile HTC Vision, or I can do it on the phone itself. Then I can install those apps in my Asus Transformer.
However, I can't do this workaround with Honeycomb-only applications because I cannot buy them on the phone first.
I'm located in Puerto Rico. I talked to the guy that makes Reddita, and he said that his apps is setup to be available everywhere

I'm still not sure if it's a location based problem or if it's related to something else. Like I said above, the guy from Reddita says that his app is configured to not discriminate by country. Also, he says that he has sold the app to other Transformer users before.
i was able to purchase apps the last time I checked which was after the 8.2.3.9 update

I would hope not. Unfortunately, so far my theory points towards a location restriction specific to Honeycomb devices.
No problems on my Transformer but a while back I had problems buying from my Adam. I went into my Google checkout account settings and just reentered the same credit card info and saved it. I was able to buy apps after that.

Thanks for the tip. Tried that (and adding a completely different CC) and it didn't work.
I can however buy apps for my other two devices (G2 and Nexus S).
I bought my Asus Transformer TF101 from Hong Kong, now live in Malaysia, both Malaysia and Hong Kong are in the list that can buy apps, but appear that i'm same with you.
Just can view apps, appear "The item that you request are not found" bla bla...
Free apps can be use. no problem, btw, i have a Motorola Xoom with me too, same issues. Sad.... duh....
somehow my android phone can purchase apps, i turn to my web page android market, and i noticed that, due to i have 5 device registered to my google account, i can buy apps for my phones, but not for my device that dont have "CARRIER" bound with it. This makes our wifi only device cant purchase apps.
i have mailed google about this issues, but nothing yet, dissapointed, hopes anyone get some solutions. thanks.
Market Enabler, available on the Android Market. Buy the paid version for better features.
I had the problem that I couldn't purchase apps that were offered in a different currency than US$ with my AmEx. I had to use a different credit card (VISA) and then it worked.
I have the same problem, it started yesterday. I'm from Puerto Rico.
Suddenly, the quantity of available apps is much less... I can't find Adobe apps, Angry Birds games, Taptu, none of the Google apps!!
When I go to "My Apps" it only shows those installed apps that are still available to search on the market, but the others are not (even if they are currently installed, were installed before)
If I enable the Hotspot on the HTC EVO and connect the TF to it via WiFi, after re-opening the market, it can see all apps as before, including those in "My Apps" section. This happens because the IP provided by Sprint is USA based. Also, if the TF gets connected to the local router, then the market apps availability gets downgraded again...
So, this appear to be a location based issue... but, how it's possible that all those high profile apps that were available just days ago now are not? I did a factory reset today for troubleshooting... and now can't install Adobe Flash and those apps mentioned above

Ya, market enabler, but, i have to get rooted, superuser, busybox in order to use that, right?
I would love just to only get rooted and continuing receive Asus OTA updates, can i?
I check and i found the is no way, please help.
Hi (Cant purchase apps in market)
Helo I am also from Puerto Rico Im currently using Samsung Galaxy i9000 (International version) Im currently facing with this error since some time now. I been looking on net since long ago day and night and nothing just crap and no answer from google. I tried froyo gingerbread and iCS version from Teamhacksung and nothing. I tried market enabler (both versions in market) i can see paid apps just well I can download the free apps just fine but in paid apps *the item you were attempting to purchase could not be found* Im getting piss off already before was working just fine.
Looking extensively on net i found this video http://forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=13888035 ---->error sorry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDZtQWt_8TQ
Sorry is not in English but the guy is using something called Gae proxy that seems an alternative that let you buy the apps. Anyway, for me this no worked I tried several times and still it no let me buy the app or just the market no open. I tried via wifi/data plan (3g) and nothing. I did test with pal he has hero and career from usa and he can buy just fine. I tried with my boss who has Captive and Xoom both failed in market with the same error.
This is very disappointed situation that is taking too much already. I have several friends and ppl I know dropping android just because of that. If i keep having it I will do the same or keep forced to get pirated apps wich i no want.
Still waiting for any fix or google response.....
English not my primary language.
Market Enabler won't work on WiFi tablets

I can assure you that even if you're rooted and running non-stock ROM, Market Enabler will not help if you're on a wifi-only tablet. I've been trying to find a solution to this problem since the day I got my WiFi-only Transformer but to no avail. Without any development or hacking knowledge whatsoever, there's only so much that I can try.
What I've found out though is this. The wifi-only version appears to track your location differently than the 3G version such that Market Enabler won't work. I have tried VPN (either direct on device or sharing a VPN connection over WIFI, if that makes a difference at all...), I've tried some location spoofing apps. Force stopped the market app and cleared data and cache and trying the VPN and location spoofing again in various combos, unsuccessfully. Also tried turning off all location services. Tried Market Enabler of course and I have the paid version of that too.
What works though is if I'm in another country, and it's a market-supported country, I'd be able to purchase apps without doing anything extra. I can also buy apps through my phone which has Market Enabler working as intended and once purchased I can install the bought apps through the My Apps screen on my Transformer. This is my current workaround, but I'm still very much stuck when I need to buy tablet-only apps which I can't purchase from my phone. Similarly, I can buy apps from the android market website, but only those I can install to the phone and I won't be able to install direct to tablet unless it's a free app.
Note: I live in a non-market-supported country. I've had this problem since Honeycomb, and now I'm on ICS and also using the rebranded Google Play. This problem seems to apply to all WiFi-only tablets, not just the Asus Transformer.
The only reason why there doesn't seem to be much of an outcry on this is because people chiming in that they can buy apps when they live in a market-supported country, so people think the problem is solved.

incompatible apps??

Hey everyone...
I just did a Google search for this problem and was extremely disappointed..so I figured I'd check with the great minds here at xda...
My girlfriend got a transformer for Christmas...and she has an HTC desire z...both devices are listed on her Android market account...
However when she started get tablet for the first time...most of her apps from her phone were already installed...and now when she searches the market for apps...it doesn't show certain apps from the market designed for tablets (specifically the weather network app..which I have on my tablet...not the weatherstrip one but the TWN one..)
I tried to share it via gmail but when she clicks the link..she gets the "app is incompatible with your device"in her tablet....
Is ether any way to bypass this or change some settings somewhere so that she can download it??
Like I said...I can see it and download it...we have the same versions and same settings..
Thanks in advance!

WiFi Overseas + Market Help

The device:
GT-P6210 v3.2
Kernal: 2.6.36-P6210UEKL1-CL583281 [email protected] #3
Build: HTJ85B.UEKL1 P6210UEKLI
The sitch:
I'm a US citizen with a US device (I bought through Amazon.com and had shipped to me through a third party). However, I am currently living in Japan on a military installation. When searching for an app on the Android Market, 95% of the time the return is: No results found--even if what I'm searching for is free. I'm assuming the 5% app result (even though it's never what I'm looking for) is because of a similar app posted on the Japanese market (I could be wrong). Using a median to get through to the market (GetJar, etc.), I am able to download free apps, but I cannot buy anything that costs money. I finally emailed the Android App Customer Service and was told it was because of my IP address.
The kicker:
First and foremost, how is it my IP when I have reset my device to factory default and used a US VPN before I logged into the market and was still unable to access apps? But even putting aside that point, here is some food for thought:
I have owned both a Nook Color and Kindle Fire and, after rooting them, was able to access the Android Market just fine. All within the IP address I am currently using.
I have friends here who own Android phones (bought here on the military base through a Japanese phone company) and an Android US tablet. On all three devices they are able to access the market without any problems. Additional info: Friend's devices are SIRIUS α IS06 [au.kddi.com/english/seihin/ichiran/smartphone/is06/index.html] x2, and a Toshiba Thrive 10”; none of friend's devices are rooted.
I had above friend log into my Android Market account on her phone and buy a few apps for me, and she was able to.
Another friend of mine here owns the same Galaxy Tab I do and can also not access the Android Market.
So what is going on? How, exactly, does the market determine your location. And how do I fix it? MarketEnabler and MarketUnlocker don’t work on WiFi only devices.
Not a fix, but have you tried accessing the market from a computer, and purchasing the apps through it? If the computer can access all the apps, you may be able to choose your tab as the device you wish to install them on. Not a fix, but maybe a temporary work-around.

Also, what are a couple of the apps? Could be that the market doesn't recognize them as compatible with the 7+ (due screen resolution, lack of telephony, etc.) List a couple apps, and i can see if i have access to them. Good luck!

Yes. I apparently have 3 devices on there and all 3 are always grayed out. It says "This item cannot be installed on your device."

The 3 latest apps I've tried are gReader Pro, HD Widgets, and Tabletbar Hider (root). My friend was able to buy the first 2 for me on my account with her phone, but Tabletbar Hider is incompitable so it doesn't show up. When trying to download it from my PC, my friend's newly added phone says "This item is not compatible with your device" while my tablet gives the above error. I've had the market issue with every single app I've tried.

Yep, I have access to all three from my 7+. Strange that the options for your devices are grayed out. Hopefully somewhere here will have more to offer.

I forgot to add that if I can get an outside link to the marketplace app, if it's free I can download it fine. I can even browse within the market and download free apps. I cannot search for apps (free or pay) and I cannot buy apps even with an outside link into the marketplace. <--this is all on my tablet. My PC can find apps, I just can't download/buy them because it says I have no compatible devices.

I logged into my friend's marketplace account and was unable to access the market properly. I don't know exactly what I'm supposed to be doing in Devices and Trouble Downloading. My device shows up, as well as an old Nook Color and Kindle Fire, along with my friend's newly added phone. I am now able to buy things from my PC on the marketplace using my friend's phone, but only if it's not tablet specific (which sucks, 'cause I own a tab). As far as trouble downloading, I can download things if they're free. Oddly enough, I can't search for free from my tab's market, but I can download free. If I need to search for something I have to use alternate means (GetJar, Browser, etc.). I can not buy anything, though. And that's especially frustrating since a few of the things I needed to buy are tablet only apps that couldn't be bought from PC market (using friend's phone as device).
Also, my friend tried using her Toshiba Thrive with my market account and was unable to. So I wrong, her tablet can't access the US market. Not even using her own account can she access it. So it seems to be a tablet specific issue. But only "real" tablets, because like I said in a prior post, after rooting a Nook Color and Kindle Fire I was able to download, install, and use the marketplace without issue.

[Q] Learning Hub

Was watching a video on YouTube of the learning hub app and was wandering if anyone had heard if it would be included in the American version of Samsung software at some point. Looks like another great application that utilizes multi screen, but with a new twist in linking the timing of the two applications. Would really like to know if anyone has any info on this.

Well, when I tried to download it I got a message saying that Product does not exist in the store. It appears the application that shows up in the search is for the galaxy note phone. Don't know if anybody has successfully downloaded this app but I would be interested to hear if you had.

Okay to get the learning hub app (honestly I didn't find anything useful in it but it might be for others) through Samsung apps here's what you need to do:
1. If you have a Samsung account on your tablet, remove it
2. Clear data and cache from your Samsung apps
3. Go to your Samsung apps, create a new account but list your country as United Kingdom
4. Create a new Samsung account and also list your country as United Kingdom (I suggest to open a new email account or if you have an old email address you don't use anymore/often and register your UK Samsung account with, note that you're gonna have to confirm it through a link that they will send to you via email
5. Login with your UK Samsung account and viola, download the app and enjoy it.
The app will require you to sign in with your UK Samsung account ,which I found annoying, so I removed the account from my tablet. I might mess with it later to see what all the fuss is about! I hope this helps
Hey guys, just got my note N8000 and i realize that i dont have learning hub installed, i am from philippines, do i need to install this app or should this app be included when i purchased my note? Oh and i also dont have the s suggest app

Overscreen Incompatibility

Hello all,
I bought a prepaid credit card just so that I could get overskreen from the play store. I tried searching for it in the play store and it did not come up, so i googled it and it showed up, however, much to my demise, i was unable to purchase the app. I got an error "the item you have attempted to purchase could not be found". In the app description the developer stated that jelly bean support is a work in pogress, has anyone else had issues with downloading overskreen, it appears that some xda members were able to install it. I have never gotten this error before, is this a common error or have i disabled one too many apps lol. If anyone has found a way to get overskreen could you point me to where you found it, this app is pretty essential for multitassking and would allow all users of this tablet to be much more productive. I would love to be able to open a pdf and write notes in google drive via overskreen, now that would be bad ass.
Hope my fellows are having a dope holiday season
The browser?
"ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T
This item is not compatible with your device."
So it won't show up in the play store on the tablet, and buying it can only be done for a device it supports.

Other members have downloaded it, there is a thread on floating apps and apparently it was installable (not sure if they got it thru the play store), I am thinking it might not be available for anyone on jelly bean, tf700 owners who have the app posted about it before the jelly bean update, I have emailed the developer to see what they have to say, thx for checking it out tho.

It also lists as incompatible for my SGS3, so I suspect they just deleted all JB devices from the list. I've yet to update that to JB, so it's not because it sees the OS version.
Those that are still able to install it do so by sideloading. (download to another device and copy the .apk to the incompatible device).
The author of Overskreen is having issues w/Jelly Bean devices, which is why it's not available on the Play Store for Jelly Bean devices.
However, there is a free alternative called "Floating Browser Flux" in the Play Store that is compatible with Jelly Bean. In my opinion, it's not quite as good as Overskreen, but it does work pretty well...

Cool I was thinking of doing that but I do not have any other android devices, looks like i am going to have to commandeer my sisters phone lol
I have tried floating browser flux and it worked alright, however, typing was really annoying and it wouldnt play youtube videos if I was using another app at the same time.
the overskreen browser works great on my infinity you just have to sideload it just google it and download the apk
