EDIT: Judging from the OP in that thread, you flashed this in recovery. Unzip that bad boy on your pc and see what it replaced. You may be able to replace whatever files are in this flashable zip with the originals from s7 and then reflash.
But FYI, if your thread title ends in a question mark, chances are it belongs in the Q&A section. Just sayin.

That is what i though. Umm now to see how to do this...
Edit: So this is what i found when i unzip it.
hideLocClock\META-INF\com\google\android
Found this file
update-script
& in that is
show_progress 0.1 0
delete_recursive DATA:dalvik-cache/
delete_recursive DATA:boot-cache/
copy_dir PACKAGE:system SYSTEM:
format CACHE:
Then in this folder: hideLocClock\system\framework
This file services.jar
Not sure what the next step would be
show_progress 0.2 10

Is there anyone that could help?

The phone doesnt boot at all? Does it even atleast load to the samsung screen? If not you may be bricked pretty bad.

Hmmm, couldn't you flash something like uckd5 in Odin without using the pit file?

So I looked at this cwm flashable zip and it looks like it just replaces the /system/framework/services.jar. If you were to unzip the s7 zip file and find that same .jar file in the same location (/system/framework/) and rip it out of the s7 zip and drop it into the cwm hideclock zip, you can try reflashing that newly-modified hideclock zip.

You can try pushing the file with adb
Code:
adb push "[full-path-to-your-zip-file-on-your-computer]" /sdcard/
I seem to remember adb being available while in CWM when your phone is USB connected to your computer.

This has happened to me and through the process of troubleshooting, I was able to get Odin to see it eventually. Try any/all of the following to get Odin to see your device in download mode:
Try a different version of Odin
try a different USB port
Try a different USB cable
Try uninstalling then re-installing the samsung usb drivers (from samsung's web site)
Just so you know, it's not bricked if you can get into download mode and CWM. It may not be bootable but it's definitely recoverable, hence not bricked.

[Q] Rooting question

I'm trying to root my phone by following these instructions to the letter: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1875914
However, when running RootDebugfs.bat, I encounter a problem at Step 2. It goes:
Testing superuser...
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file
uid and gid should both be 0.
Are they? (y/n):
I type y or n, and they both fail in that 'n' just stops the program, as 'y' just repeats the error message, then stops the program.
Several answers to things you might ask me:
Do I have adb.exe (from the 7zip file) in the same folder as the bat file? Yes.
Have I installed the USB drivers? Yes.
Have I connected my phone? Yes, and it's on.
Have I run the bat file as admin? Yes.
Have I put the folder with the adb.exe, bat file, and other misc files in a folder close to C:? Yes, in C:\debugfs.
Have I reset my phone to factory? Yes.
Have I restarted my computer? Yes.
I run Win7 home prem 64bit.
Sorry if this is an extremely noobish question, but I've google searched and searched through various threads but could not get a clear answer...

try the supersu version by hellsdroid...section 2 of my guide.
I am having the same problem and have tried both the superuser and the supersuser. Still not able to root. Any other suggestions?
Thanks
I tried using casual to root my phone. But it failed. So i used Casual to push CWM to my device, and it stuck. And I flashed this super user zip. Now mind you it might be outdated If you are on current firmware for the phone. But once it's pushed you should just be able to update it or its binaries in the app to make it current.

You shouldnt be clicking any options in odin, your are gonna brick your phone so i would just stop while your phone is working.

[Q] Bought note 10.1 in China, no google play. Help! How to root using Mac?

Hi,
I need help desperately. It is my first android device and I encountered HUGE problem. Apparently, Note 10.1 bought in China has no google play! How am I going to gain access to really important apps for my school. Worse, I'm using Mac OSX mountain lion.
I'm totally lost in rooting. Fear it would crash, how do I back up using Mac.
Please help. I do have VPN services to overcome great China firewall though, but that access is only viable via my Mac Laptop. Phew.
Cheers,
Kelvin

It is not possible that note will come without play are you sure its a gen note and have not been tampered with. Even if you do not have play you will have samsung apps or S suggest one of them just links you to google play so that should help you download it but still say check your device for tampering

I think you can download the play store online as apk but I'm not sure. you can try
same thing happen to me. just bought it in china and no google play store installed. i try to install it by manual, but the app close as soon as i try to open it
you will have to flash a european 8010 firmware and the only way to do that is by using ODIN. Find a friend who has a PC.

Almost there
I'm almost ready to root now. I'd downloaded heimdall frontend and all the firmwares file from Samobile. Only issue is.. how do i use the files and 'put it' into the tablet. Heimdall has alot of terms I'm not familiar with and so many tabs. What files to upload from the Samobile softwares first and how. There's 4 folders in the firmware package.
1. Meta-INF
2. Patch
3. Recovery
4. System
Am i on the right track?
I wish I could help but I never tried heimdall. maybe there's a how to thread on it...

:fingers-crossed:
对了,别忘了在中国上google play 是要翻墙的,shadowsocks 和fq.router2 比较好用。 同样憎恨中国的网络政策。Daily conversation in English is easy to me , but I am not familiar with professional term.

[GUIDE] Fix IMEI Null and Baseban Unknown!! on Galaxy S advance

In some specific firmware regions when we move to custom roms or another regions rom we get this error imei null and baseband unknown. Here is the way to fix this problem
1.First you should install stock rom of your region so that you get your imei and baseband back.
2.After this install root explorer or any another root browsing apps and navigate to /system/lib and search a folder called (tee) inside there and copy that (tee) folder to your external sd card or a pc.
3.If you want to flash custom roms then open your custom rom using 7-zip and navigate to /system/lib and drag and drop your original (tee) folder there and replace with custom roms (tee) folder.
4.After that you can normal flash that custom rom and your imei null and unknown baseband will be solved.
5.Another method is if you move to another region firmware then after installing firmware manually delete (tee) folder from /system/lib and put the one you backed up in /system/lib and fix the permissions to rwxr-xr-x and reboot your system.
6.All done enjoy...:laugh::laugh:
This works for both gingerbread and jellybean roms
Nice if it is real. In my case this problem is always hw fault or efs damage.
How about CSC unknown?
I experiance it whenever i do:
-deodexed my stock rom
-flash custom rom which is the same as deodexed it (all custom rom here use deodexed)

Look at log in odin if it was crc error that prevented flashing. If it was that then re download firmware.

6.All done enjoy...:laugh::laugh:
This works for both gingerbread and jellybean roms

Yup!! First flash hongkong firmware then root it. After that using root explorer copy the tee folder to your sdcard..
Now flash other region firmware then root device again and then replace the tee folder you just copied to your sdcard and it will work...

S6 Reactivation Lock and Secure Download

Hello,
I know that there are many topics like this, but none of the topics found a solution to my problem or similar like this.
Okay, let's start - I recently bought a used Galaxy S6 (SM-g920f international model) in a pawn shop in England. I think it's running on android 6.0.1, but I'm not sure and can't check it. Ofc after I bought it I wanted to make factory reset and so I did. Now I can't get past Samsung account login as previous owner had registered this phone on his name.
I have Reactivation Lock on and Secure download on, which means I can't install any custom recovery or ROM - I can only install original firmware which is higher than mine 6.0.1.
I have tried to downgrade to 5.11 and 5.0.2 to bypass RL, but downgrades don't work.
I have tried installing firmware with Smart Switch, but that's it - I got newer firmware version, but can't get rid of Samsung account.
I have tried all bypass methods that I could find in web, but it seems that none are working for international S6.
I know there must be a way to get past Samsung account screen for newer Android versions, because nothing is impenetrable, but web is being silent about it
Download & Install 7-Zip
And then, download this firmware;
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s6/SM-G920F/BTU/download/G920FXXU3DPBG/66426/
When you've download it, right click the md5 file of the firmware you've downloaded, go 7-Zip options and select "Extract archive to **** folder"
Once you've extract, delete sboot.bin, cm.bin and modem.bin files.
After you've deleted those files from folder, select all remaining files, then right click, go 7-Zip options and select "Archive".
Once you're in 7-Zip options, change "Archive type" to "tar" and click Ok on 7-Zip to start the archiving.
You will have a tar file. Install this tar file via Odin. When you installed it, go to recovery and wipe the data.
Then, try those steps to bypass FRP lock;

okay, this is new, and sounds promising. I'll try it later. Thanks
Well, I did all that, but I got stuck at RealTerm when dialing a number - it seems that I'm on a newer firmware than in tutorial and once call hangs up I don't have any options there..
Is there a way to check firmware version? *#1234# is not working..
P.S. Sorry for double post.
EDIT:
Okay, found out I'm on G920FXXU5EQG3. Which is android 7.0, so I guess I'm f*ed

You didn't do all of what I've wrote above, you're still on 7.0
You need to be in G920FXXU3DPBG.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm from Latvia which is Baltics region, so I guess I should find analogical XXU3 SEB firmware. I didn't have time earlier to try to downgrade to your given firmware, but will downgrade work if I'm on 7.0? I'll try it as soon as I'm free, thank you

EDIT: OK, I did it!! )
Steps I made:
1. downloaded 6.0.1 XXU3
2. extracted .md5 file and deleted all .bin files
3. from remaining files made a new .tar file and flashed with Odin 3.10.7
4. Then followed this video to the point where he downloads ES File Explorer - instead I downloaded SideSync and from this point on did everything there
5. Copied this and this via SideSync (Basically followed this video from this point forward)
6. Firstly installed Samsung Signin.apk, then installed samsung bypass google verify - By Zen-J.apk and opened it - this opens phones Settings
7. Then I went to Backup and Reset - Factory data reset and deleted everything.
8. Then it asks to insert a new Samsung account and now you should insert your real working Samsung account.
9. Insert it, agree to terms and restart the phone
10. Log in with your Samsung account and now you're finished )
Big thanks to forumber2 and the guy who made this video.
If possible - maybe someone should pin this topic, because it really works

You don't have to repack the tar file. Just flash the "G920T1UVU5EQC2"

Make sure you've flashed the "G920T1UVU5EQC2"
What the phone says when Odin gives error?
Try another usb cable. preferably a short original/OEM one, not a long cable from ebay, and also another USB port, directly on the motherboard (if not on a laptop), do not use any USB hubs. ODIN can be quite picky about the connection to the phone, and it doesn't retry if everything is not transferred correctly the first time, it just fails. Failing after it has started writing to NAND could indicate a bad NAND chip, but it's probably (and hopefully) not your problem.
Removed?
