New Android Girl nexus s and arc

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to android and would love if someone could help me. Coming from iPhone 4 I wana get android phone cause Rogers is releasing nexus s and xperia arc on 28th I wana get one but not sure which is better. Please help me everyone as I have only week to decide.
Thanks
Buy Arc Or w8 For Samsung Galaxy S2 ( similar to iphone 4 in looks )
might be forever for sgs2
just looking at the specs the Xperia Arc has the advantage in many areas:
8.1MP vs 5MP camera
microSD slot that can accept a 32GB card vs 16GB fixed internal in Nexus
4.2" vs 4.0" screen
FM radio
micro hdmi
MobileSyrup is reporting the Samsung Galaxy S II to be released late Q2/Early Q3. With a dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display and 1GB of RAM, I think it'll be worth the wait.
If not, I think the Samsung Nexus S would be a better choice than the Arc.
Sgs2 released in india. Getting in day or two
In Uk 1st May Onwards.
its not Forever
So not arc? I need one rightaway or nexus s.

If you want something right away, then take the Arc. It's a better phone than the Nexus S.

Agreed.
I used a Nexus S for a couple of weeks prior to getting my Arc and there's simply no contest IMO.
Of course there's the obvious points like the superior camera, the flexibility of having a memory card as opposed to only in-built memory, extra features like HDMI-out and the significantly better looks
But there's also things like the fact that the Arc is smoother, so much more polished and the screen is actually really good - for day-to-day usage, I'd go so far as to say that it's a match for the sAMOLED panel the Nexus S uses.
Hi i would recommend you to go for sony ericsson xperia arc because i have research lot for this phone and i got awesome reviews so go for arc. Thanks.

Except, you know, for the screen you're looking at all day (SAMOLED >>> any LCD), and the constant Google software updates. And the faster Hummingbird in the Nexus.

What should I buy: Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire S, Galaxy S, X10, Arc, XT720?

Hi,
I hope in the nearest future I will have chance to buy High End Smartphone.
My question is: What should I buy?
I looking for big screen, good camera, good batery, very much mods, ROMs etc.
This list of phones:
- Desire HD
- Desire Z
- Desire S
- Galaxy S
- X10 (locked boot)
- Arc (locked boot)
- Milestone XT720 (locked boot)
What should I choose?
Let the Force be with me and with you guys!
same dilemma here ! please any clue ?
I am a fan of the galaxy line. I have a fascinate and love the form factor. Pretty easy to mess with it and hard to brick it.
- Desire HD: HUGE screen, plenty of ROMs, OK camera, small battery, but it's much better with custom ROM. Age - about 6 month.
- Desire Z: Same as the HD but with a smaller screen and it has a keyboard. Age - 6 month
- Desire S: Same hardware as the Desire HD but with a smaller SLCD screen. Age - New
- Galaxy S: Great screen and a f-up filesystem. Age - Nearly 1 year
- SE X10: Getting old, locked bootloader, plastic fantastic, OK screen. Age - 14 month
- Arc: Great screen, thin body, good hardware and good camera, but locked bootloader. Age - 1 month
- Milestone: 11 month old, has 802.11 b/g (2,5 GHz) WiFi and not b/g/n (5 GHz) like all new devices today. Low amount of RAM (256MB)
I would go with something that's not that old. Technology moves fast today, so it would be bad buying something that'll be "useless" after 3 weeks.
Personally, i would buy the Desire HD (which i already got), Desire S, or the Arc.
I too think about Desire HD. But does anyone can tell what is s-off (is this some kind of root for DHD)?

If I were choosing for myself, I'd go with either the Desire HD, Desire S or the Sony Arc.
I have a Desire HD in the form of an AT&T Inspire 4G and it is a sweet machine. But I new Arc will be a sweet one too. The Desire S is basically a Desire HD with a smaller screen. Or another way of looking at it is: the Desire S is the Desire with Sense 2.0, front facing camera and all the sweet hardware of the Desire HD. I could live with its smaller, 3.7", LCD.
If the older Desire HD had the front facing camera, it would be a no-brainer choice. But still, the DHD is likely the best choice if you want to customize. Me...I don't customize. I don't even root. So my choice is a bit harder. However, the Arc has all the goodness of the DHD, plus a higher res TFT LCD and Gingerbread. The LCD is only 1/10th inch smaller (4.2") than the DHD so that isn't even a concern. Yeah...the Arc would be my choice with all certainty. It's also a gorgeous phone.

Ok, but what with locked bootloader in ARC? I don't want to lose my warranty. And how can I check availability of unlocking before buying?
And eventually Nexus S is in game.

[Q] [New Phone Buying] Galaxy S vs. Xperia Neo vs. ...

Hello everyone!
I've been using my HTC Legend for a while now and I was quite happy with it, except performance breaking down several times. So lately I decided to root the phone and throw some custom ROM on it, preferably CM7. Well, I am a little ashamed to confess, that it hasn't just worked out yet, but according to several postings my Goldcard seems to be the problem.
Anyway, I came up with the idea of buying myself a new droid. The criteria is easy in fact. It should have a bigger screen than the Legend and sunlight legibility should be good (oh yeah, that was another issue with my legend). And it should be fast and pretty. Last but definitly not least: Custom ROM Support is important!
Until now I've made a choice for a few phones I like.
-Sony Ericsson Xperia NEO
-Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
-LG p970 Optimus Black
-Samsung Galaxy S 9000
What phones do you think match my criteria best? Have you got any other propositions in the same price range?

[Q] Nexus S vs. Xperia Arc

Hello everyone, I'm going to upgrade from my Galaxy 5 to some other Android device, and I have 1.000 R$ ( 570 US dollars ) to spend on a new smartphone. Here on Brazil with that money you can buy a Nexus S, a Xperia Arc or a Motorola Atrix. So I don't know which one to choose. The Xperia Arc is gorgeous, thin, has a great camera and a bigger display, the Nexus S will be receiving most of the updates right after their release, has a front facing camera and a Super Amoled screen, while the Atrix is.. well.. meh. So, which of those do you recommend for me to choose as my smartphone for the next 2 years? Also, I watch A LOT of TV shows on my smartphone, i'm a pretty hardcore gamer and I listen to music constantly on my Galaxy 5, so the phone must have nice media capabilities.
Thanks!
man , you are asking in Nexus S section, so , sure , your answer would be Nexus S,
if you ask in their section , sure you have answer of their section.
personal idea , i suggest wait for another moth or so , wait for Galaxy Nexus , and then you can sell you Galaxy 5 to get some money , plus your 570 USD , almost there ...
yes sure nexus s is the best try it, sory for my bad eng
If you go for the design, get a Xperia Arc
If you go for a lot more performance, definitely get a Nexus S.
Or just wait and spare some money for the Galaxy Nexus / Nexus Prime.
the Galaxy S2 will share a lot of similarities to the galaxy nexus, and their price has already dropped a lot since launch... perhaps that is one option to consider as well?
My friend has the ark and I have a nexus s, my nexus outperforms the Ark in everything except for the camera, he is a bit annoyed at how slow it is.

[Q] Galaxy S or Xperia Arc

Can someone please help me make the decision.
I'm buying my new phone in two weeks ..
And I'm confused between these two
Samsung Galaxy S
Or
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
Taking into account the popularity of the Galaxy S and the wide-range support.
And the coolness .. the awesome camera of the Xperia Arc.
P.S. i don't know why so many people are comparing the Xperia Arc to the
Galaxy S II despite the fact that the S II has a dual-core processor, while the Xperia has a single core. They should compare the S but not S II
I'd really appreciate your answer so that i can make up my mind
Arc is more stylish to me.
Also, if you buy SIM-unlocked one, it's not a problem to unlock bootloader.
But it hasn't got so many custom ROMs as Galaxy S does.
Most Arcs can be overclocked up to 1.7GHz stable (max is 2.0GHz), even up to 2.0GHz if you apply some more overvolting.
And it has nice Super LCD screen which is great.
But, let's also tell something about Galaxy S: so much custom ROMs, big community, S-AMOLED screen, weighting almost the same as a bunch of 10 A4 papers.
galaxy s
Arc. Bigger screen, better camera. I even like the screen better: works well in sunlight.
Sent from my LT15i using xda premium
I Would go for ARC as well. Very nicely build phone.
And what about the screen .. Super AMOLED vs. LCD Sony Bravia Reality Display
It's said that the S-AMOLED is the best in the business these days .. However, alot of people claim the Xperia's LCD is awesome too
And i don't know about the touch sensitivity comparing to the Galaxy S
