hi...im new here..so anyhelp will be appreciated...so like 4 days back..i woke up to realise my pohone wouldnt turn on..its under no warranty ..after a couple hours it did...did a factory reset and all was fine..when i say wont turn on...i mean ....it would turn on when i would pull out the battery....boot up and then jsut shut down again.....now i was confused..but it got sorted...yesterday i tried rooting it.and was successful....but somehow it restored all the previous apps and all....and bam...since last night..same problem..doesnt turn on...pull out battery...replace it...boots up..and shuts down halfway through the boot....i am a noob...and am hell confused..any help??

I have 2 batteries both are in working condition..checked ....the system does switch on after the battery pull/replace....but shuts down anyhwere while booting...not to be opened or recognized by the pc..unless a battery pull is done...

Same thing happens..goes into bootloader...and randomly shuts down....i want to do RUU ...but cant seem to...as it cant get on or go into recovery
Before this happen, does your phone always feel hot? Did you monitor battery temperature? I suspected, your motherboard have a leakage current. Only solution is to send for warranty. Oh..you dont have, warranty i see..then, no choice, pay some penny, and repair it. Its happen to me once for my desire..

Hi! My brother has Sensation and when he puts it on a charger the phone gets so hot that turns off by itself. Sometimes reboots itself while not doing anything.The problem is that battery is not so hot but the left lower corner of touchscreen is too hot when this happens. So my question is is it possible that the processor is overheating while charging? The phone was on the HTC service, but they said that everything is allright with the phone. He has stock rom. What else can be the problem??

thats a coincidence coz my cousin who is New to Android was complaining of His mobile over heating but NOT rebooting... but his GPS , Wifi and Data was ON and brightness set to full...
First of all, charge ur Mobile or any other with the charger to see if its heating or not..
If its rooted phone, then flash a Stock ROM or else tell him to factory Reset .... dont use Custom kernels...
still doesn't change then RMA...
No, the phone is not rooted. It's all stock. Wil try his charger on my phone and see. Will report back.

Can someone please help me? My htc sensation was working fine and all of a sudden it started freezing, so I took out the battery and put it back in. Now it won't turn on or boot into Hboot. The battery is fully charged and I even tried a different battery but still nothing. I've plugged in the phone without the battery as well and still nothing, the screen does not come on at all. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi,
I saw someone with the same problem.
He removed his sim card,left it for a while ,then switched on the phone without the sim card.
Might be worth a try.
Tried it, still no luck any other solutions?

Are you able to get a PC to recognise the phone via USB i.e. is adb working?
It sounds like a screen issue, it may be booting under this.

Hopefully its so fubar thats they cant check to see, or waste their time...
I had it on mine to, on the period that it wasnt rooted yet, just send it to HTC, its a factory defect, they can't blame it on root access.

this happened to me too for some reason too, when i try to turn it on it just vibrates every 40 seconds or so with a blank screen . i am running ordroids latest rom. oh and my theory is i short circuited the battery or something because when my phone was charging i yanked the power cord of the wall with the phone still plugged in , any ideas and/or soulutions to my problem ?
The same happened to me a few months ago and had to get it replaced with T-Mobile.

can you return it with manufacturers warranty to tmobile or is there another warranty you need

This happened to me about 3 months ago. I was watching a youtube video when suddenly my phone froze. I did the exact same thing. Pulled the battery, waited a few mins, popped it back in and nothing. If you have insurance on the device you can get it replaced. They completely replaced mine and it was s-off rooted! So you should have no problems at all!:good:
Mine has done that a couple of times. All I do is wait about 5 minutes then pull the battery, put it back in and then try to restart the phone. Sometimes it take 5 or 6 tries before it will reboot and even then sometimes all I get it the splash screen. Another hint is to have it plugged into the charger after you have put the battery back in. If the charging led is on then that means there is a very good chance the phone will boot

My Sensation, with original ICS, has been working flawless until a few days it go, when it started to randomly shut down. This only happends while the charger is not plugged in. I tried to reset to facory settings, but the same thing happend (even before installing any apps).
Anyone had the same problem?

It's a thousend person problem in this forum some people solve it with anker new battery omther like me control it by flashing old firmware but it could brick ur device others still facing it every day its sucks try new battery i just want to say ur not the only 1

Sounds like a hardware issue. Either battery is bad, or the maincard. Often water/shock damage.
Try a Anker battery, it wont set you back many dollars anyways.

I had random shutdowns - There seem to be a few threads around about it, some suggest repartitioning and reformatting the SD card (which seemed to work for me) and some go for some odd solutions like sticking a bit of card at the base of the battery to push it against the pins a bit more solidly.
I tried Juopunutbear a few times then my phone just shut off. I can't turn it back on in anyway. I think I bricked it.... Is there a way to fix it?

Nope I can't even power it on! It just does nothing. No power light nothing on the screen it seems like its one of those fake demo units at the stores.

Maybe you should read the troubleshooting section ?!?
Theres smth written like: If your phone wont turn on take out the battery , put it back in and charge it for 4-5 hours.
Juopunutbear isn't evil, its the only way to s-off our phones with hboot 1.2X.

It's not bricked.. It sucked the internal power for now from the phone and went to deep sleep state.. Happens when you do too much of wire tricks fails..
The solution is remove battety, sim and sdcard... Then charge the phone overnight or at least 6-7 hours.. That will bring back phone to life

Yeah that should work because that happened to me when I was trying to s-off my sensation. I just took the battery and everything or then charged it overnight then when I woke up turned it on, as good as new! I then tried the wire truck again and got it first time.

I was fortunate to be able to soff through revolutionary but what I've read and seen is very much about getting that timing just right! Well its still not working and it has been about 6 hours already. I'll try waiting a few more hours. Just to make sure, I do not put the battery in while charging it?

Dropped my phone a few days ago. It was all good until this morning.
I charged it all night and I wake up with it at 1percent but the charge light being green. So I restart my phone and it never turned back on.
My girlfriend has the same phone so I used hee battery.... still nothing.
I have insurance but my phones rooted... but will that effect anything if they SOMEHOW figure out that it is?
Or is it okay since this is a hardware issue?
And does anyone have an idea to fix this before I go to t mobile today?

just throwing out some ideas here...but you could connect it to ur comp and see if its detected...then try and use some fast boot boot commands see if u can even get to recovery
