[Q] Clockwork and Lagfix for stock 2.2 - Captivate General

Anyone know of a current kernel with clockworkmod and lagfix for stock froyo 2.2?
I've recently flashed back to stock since stock 2.3.3 has bugs and I haven't had luck with custom roms.
I'm fine with stock froyo but hate the massive lag it has.

What's ZW Fascinate stock kernel?

Hi, I'm not new to rooting/flashing. My sister-in-law wants her Fascinate to be faster and lag free. So I'm here to help her but got questions. Is EB01 the stock kernel? I'm looking a stock kernel + voodoo. She's gonna wait for offical release of 2.2 on her phone so I'm looking for 2.1 stock + voodoo. But if I have too, I can flash a 2.2 ROM and tell her that VZW can screw.
Please and thanks in advance.
EB01 is the version of the latest leak of 2.2, not the version of a kernel.
Search the Development forum for Voodoo. There are quite a few Voodoo kernels out there for 2.1. The ones from jt1134 are pretty popular. Also, adrynalyne has some test kernels available. I was using his Test 5 (non-voodoo) for quite a while and it was pretty stable. There are other developers with Voodoo kernels as well, so look through the search results and figure out what you like best.
The one thing to keep in mind is that some of the newer 2.1 kernels are only compatible with the latest officially released firmware (DL09). You might need to upgrade her phone (OTA) before proceeding with adding these newer 2.1 kernels.
There is a Voodoo kernel available for 2.2 currently, but you would have to upgrade everything to 2.2 (i.e. EB01). There is a thread for it by jt1134, and it's a stock 2.2 kernel with Voodoo and custom boot animation support.

Pre-rooted Stock Gingerbread?

Just a basic question really.
I've flashed the above Rom after many happy times with LeeDroid's froyo Rom. However This stock Gingerbread rom seems to be missing quick menu (when i drag down notifications) and no quick way to change to sound/vibrate only as I I expected on a Gingerbread ROM ?
Any clues ?

Overcome 7 v4.0.0 Edition Gingerbread 2.3.3 ROM

Hi guys, I would like to share my experience on rooting and flashing the custom firmware on my P1000.
Initially, my P1000 was preloaded with froyo 2.2.
I flashed my P1000 to the gingerbread 2.3.3 and subsequently upgraded to v2.3.5.
The major difference between 2.3.3 & 2.3.5 is the lock in screen. 2.3.5 no longer have the fixed slider at the lockin screen, to unlock, just touch anywhere of the screen and you will see 2 circle lines, and then slide out of the 2nd circle will do.
A few days ago, I degraded my P1000 back to 2.3.3 and flashed with Overcome 7 v4.0.0 edition rom.
It is working extremely fine and fast, still monitoring it, but so far face no problem at all.
Thanks guys for the overcome 7 rom. Fantastic.
I am looking ahead at Honeycomb custom rom for P1000.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
OVERCOME 4.0 is great. But I think CM7 or MIUI are also fast and fine, with more freedom. You should lookong ahead at ICS, personally I think the Honeycomb custom rom is meaningless now.
Reports are allways good.....
But you have used the wrong thread group. Please use this thread and report it there.
Because this thread group is only for apps and themes, NOT for roms. Thank you

[Q] problem upgrading froyo cee to CM9

Hello!
I accidently installed a bad, un-downgradeable sbf.
I seeked for hours but eventually I got out of it, and now I'm running a working fixed froyo cee.
I was sure that after moving to the froyo, Ill be able to upgrade to the cyanogenmod 9.
but of course, when I tried, it acted like before, as if the froyo is un-changeable - it bloacked the defy.
so, what can I do in order to be able changing ROMs again?
I own a defy MB525.
Thanks very much!
