I need some assistance, with a rom I just thought I reached the finished product.
Froyo 2.2.2
Lg ally
(Anything else just ask)
After installing the firmware, I'll go to click settings and get a force close. Some of the apps are like this, perferably ones I added or rethemed. Even some of the apps off the market do this.
I was told its a uid problem or a sdk value problem.
Any ideas to fix this?

I've tried a custom rom but to be honest there are some bits of the LG rom l missed (pinch in apps draw) so came back to it. Can one of you guys do a stripped down version of the standard LG rom without the LG bloatware?

Just the standard 3D capable UI with ESfile manager and the new market. That way I can load whatever else I need.

So I know I have read how to fix this but noe I can't seem to be able to fix it. I am running the Weapon rom and I downloaded a black modded version of swype. I deleted the stock version and the .lib that went with it. I then installed the new version and it still asked me if I wanted to replace the other version...so I said yes. And it works...until I reboot and then I get process swype force close. Any ideas hoe to fix this? Thanks.

Use Titanium Backup to uninstall swype then install from apk.
Might fix it. Couldn't hurt to try a permission fix either.

Thanks. I got it working. For some reason I thought by deleting the .apk that would uninstall it. So I used root installer and them reinstalled it. And poof...works...

Try T-Swipe Pro from the Market. It blows Swype away.
I can't post to the development thread because I'm a newb to this forum, so, I'm hoping somebody will see this here.
Nexus S 4G running Oxygen 2.2.3. Voice Search fc's as soon as I start it up, even from within another app, like navigation. Anybody had this issue and been able to solve it?
If one application stops working usually an uninstall and reinstall of the application will fix it.

Have you tried to fix permissions?

Been there. I've uninstalled and reinstalled from the market a few times. I even tried to pull one from a deodexed 2.3.7 stock ROM. Still Fc's.

Not until I read your post
I went through Root Explorer, but the permissions were okay there. I then booted into recovery and used fix permissions. No dice.

Try reflashing the rom see if that works.

Go ahead and install 2.3.1 and see if it is fixed. This is the latest version.
I used voice search a few days ago without any problems on Oxygen 2.3.
Like others have said, try the 2.3.1 version 'cause they fixed some bugs in the previous version!
Sorry guys, I must have updated the wrong thread. I got it working by clearing data. Thanks for the feedback

I have a couple of apps on my phone which requires the phone model version to be P500 but it seems neko's latest Gingersnap is changed to p690 to solve some compatibility issues. I want to know how I can turn it back to P500. Also neko has mentioned that changing it will result in some apps to not function properly. Can someone (who has done it) tell me what kind of instability issues will I face? I am Ok with removing some of the apps. Can you tell me which are those apps to keep the Rom stable? Thank You.
If you gonna change phone model in build.prop some apps like sns wifi cast and anothers that I dont remember now will fc cuz compability issue.
You can change phone model in build.prop but like i said some apps will fc
