I've tried a custom rom but to be honest there are some bits of the LG rom l missed (pinch in apps draw) so came back to it. Can one of you guys do a stripped down version of the standard LG rom without the LG bloatware?

I installed this rom ( LINK UP[ROM][CWM] updated 12/23/2011 | AOSP Style 2.1 | KJ6} ) and got into lots of bugs so I'm gonna share it here what I did to fix it
1. Root was not working properly can't get permission from superuser
FIX: (I have to root the phone again with superoneclick 1.6.5 is the only one working for me)
2. SU binary won't update missing md5 blablabla cannot remember what it was
FIX: (I installed busybox to fix the missing file)
3. Android Keyboard force close error (the application android keyboard process com.android.inputmethod.latin)
FIX: (I look for gingerbread keyboard and flashed it)
You should post in the rom's thread so that the author takes notice.
EDIT
Just noticed you don't have enough posts to post in the dev section yet.
Try PM'ing him a link to this thread I guess.
Have you tried a data wipe and then reflashing? I was on that rom with no issues

Yeah, I had no problems with this ROM either... It's great, actually.
Rather than creating a thread saying that this person's ROM creates problems, PM is the best choice. Especially if you've read through the ROM thread and did not see a bunch of complaints.

jeeze, how many times do I have to tell people that I am working on a massive update. The android keyboard fc is a problem with Valhalla final. Also the root isn't an issue. Plus all users should flash the beta 2d kernel.

Maybe you should post this info in the OP of your development thread so you don't have to keep telling people. it first look like you ever update it and I wouldn't expect many folks around here to read the entire thread even though they should. maybe you should Post a section about other suggestions such as update to the new kernel and that the keyboard fc is a known issue. Btw, in observation, it looks like you might be starting to understand why people ask you to keep quiet about cm variations un less you have some development to offer

maybe its just me. I wasn't able to post a reply on that dev thread because I don't have enough post so I just make a new one and maybe can help other new user too having same issue.
I'm not saying that its the dev I just wanna share it to other users that might have same problem
I was on KD1 rom and reset my phone to factory settings delete cache in cwm and installed the rom. that what I did. and for the android keyboard I was gonna post the link for android keyboard here where I got it but it won't let me

Being on froyo and flashing a GB ROM may have been the "root" of your problems. Try my upgrade guide then re flash the ROM and give us an update

so far im not getting any issue going on right now after the fix I did.
I also have some question I have a Samsung Vibrant (T959) which has Bionix V based on froyo I believe and I really like it so I just wanna know if there's a rom like that for Galaxy S 4G? I've tried to flashed the bionix frost but I didn't like the custom theme running on proluncher and I don't like apps running in the background I like my phone on stock theme
EDIT: I didn't like the music player that comes on this AOSP syle rom I like the one that comes with the bionic V that I have on my Vibrant and I tried to install that music player apk I took from my vibrant to my galaxy s 4g but Im getting force close error is there a way to make it work?

Hi, dont know if this has been asked before, but it's there a way to somehow install another kernel (maybe overclocked) instead of the current kernel? And I like the HTC camera present in Sense ROMs instead of the camera in MIUI (my current ROM) or in Cyanogen ROMs. Can I install the HTC camera over my current one?

First of this should be in the Q & A section and the search function isn't broken but here is a kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078049
Just flash it in recovery like a ROM. Be sure to wipe cache and salvia prior to flashing.

Yes just look for compatible kernel for your rom and flash, backup first.

The search button is yours and everyones friend. I can say never once did I started a new thread asking a question that's already been asked. Actually the only thread I've ever started was one thanking the devs and the people making guides on how to do anything with this phone. This is my 1st android and I've flashed a few ROMs and kernels in the few months Ive had it cause of the info I found here. And I've never had any problems. All the info you'll ever need(and some you dont) is on XDA. And if after a relentless search for your question leads to nothing, then by all means ask away. Not tryin to hate, just stating facts
Thanks creglenn. I can never seem to find the right section to post in. il look there.

Well, since the thread is already created, can anyone tell me if it's possible to for example to install the music player from MIUI into my Eaglesblood ROM?

Wow! I cant believe I asked this question. Lol. Sorry for the bump, and there is a new question here. Aaaand on second look, that was me... lol. Geez.
Hey guys,
I've got the T-Mo One S. I understand that it's not ready to have a non-Sense ROM put on it yet, but I'm wondering if i can at least get the stock keyboard running on there. Anyone got a download link to an .apk or anything? Thanks!

This is a development section, its not for questions.
there are several in the market, just search for "ICS keyboard"
How do I take away different pieces of the roms and put it into mine right now? I'm on icbinb 2.3.7 v2, but i want to take away the beats audio from the pure entity rom and the whole ics look from the valhalla black, Can anybody help me with this?
download root explorer from market its a very usefull tool that allows you to modify, move, copy, paste, delete, and so on. you can use this to extract apk files from one rom and paste them in system/app
To accomplish what the OP is asking will require a lot more than swapping some apk's...
Start reading in the general android section about theming... That should keep you busy for a while.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
Actually root explorer can be used to do most if not all what the OP is asking .....plus much more.
In my opinion......if you like flashing and being creative.....you should have root explorer....it will allow you to do sooo much.
If everyone here would get it and learn to use it.... there wouldnt be so many questions and requests.
I personally have created what I feel to be a master piece by compiling several roms and theme packages and other tweaks into one using root explorer and then when I was happy with what I did I took everything I liked and zipped it up for future flashing
I now have a completely bloat free rom that has exactly what I want that only weighs 109 mb's.
So if I feel froggy and wanna flash a different rom and don't like it for what ever reason....I just flash the one I compiled together.....and I'm happy again lol
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
And also I am not claiming this works with all apk's but all that I have tried have worked. I have Miui music player, tweaks from SCOM, themes from Miui plus others and I'm running Pure Entity. You may also need to reboot and maybe fix permissions. Every time I flash a new row I use TB to save apk's that I like and next flash they are part of my restore that is another way
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
If you want icbinb to look like vb, you need more than root explorer...

As long as you have a Gingerbread BB you should be fine as 21A and 21E are both open source builds. If you flashed 21E via KDZ you shouldn't have any issue but if you run into problems let me know.

Hey Saaqirajput,
I advise please do not install this onto your SU760 as this rom is ment for the P920 i would have to remake this into a V20F if you would like to use it or you could use XBSA's V20F ICS themed if you wanted a rom with ICS themeing ported. The link for XBSA's

coming from liquidbeats to this i've noticed a drop in battery life... not a big issue but means i have to charge my phone a lot and my phone seems to heat up a lot more than it should....
anything i can do to try and fix this?

Are you running a custom kernel or stock from the rom? Because alot of Kernels like iblueminds focus on battery life. I do notice that sometimes mine heats up a fair bit only if im using it for a long period of time other than that its ok im still running on stock thats in my rom. I will hopefully have my kernel working correctly soon so i will be able to see how good battery and all that is with a custom kernel.
