If your rooted and on a sense 3.5 rom, try a custom kernel. Ex: Bricked or Faux123's kernel. It removes that cap.

Go into settings and turn off power saver and that should fix that. I had the same problem and I have discovered when you have power saver turned on it won't let you use the camera when the battery is @ 30% and no you don't need to be rooted to do this It's just a matter of going into settings and untick power saver however rooting the HTC sensation 4 is strongly recommended and flashing a ROM along with really good kernel you will increase your performance and battery will last longer

Faux has a kernel which tweaks the limit to 10%. You might want to give it a go

Still doesn't work for me.
I have rooted and flashed ARHD 3.6.2.
I have disabled Power Saver mode in settings.
The phone still prevents me from using flash below a certain battery threshold (seems to be around ~30%).

im on ARHD 3.6.2 ,
after couple of minutes of playing games but phone is super hot i mean i cant even touch the bottom part of the phone (where the home button etc is at)
anyway i know there are some solutions or think there are solutions ,
i would like to know which one you think is the best?
solutions that i think will help:
1. run the patch to down clock to 1.2 - in mike's first post
2. run the thermal patch on faux kernel's thread
3. change my kernel to bricked kernel
also i got anker battery if its important.
if you have other suggestions it will be really good to hear them out.
I ran the thermal patch and it has worked pretty well for me. I haven't had my phone get as hot as you were describing earlier however, it was uncomfortable to hold even through my case.

Edit: Don't forget to clear your cache partition and your dalvik caches. And remember ALWAYS back-up prior to flashing, just incase.

The faux kernels and patch is based on HTC source code for the above patch. The patch you want to use for CM7 can be found at the link below.

you guys might want to download faux clock apk to help with the manual set up of the kernel specs.
just a suggestion. always helps to know exactly what your working with and be in control. its a little more detailed than say oc daemon.
side note: remember to try and uninstall if you have issues in the future trying to flash new kernels.
i will give a try to the thermal patch..
but i dont holds to much hope for it to work...
unless it some miracle patch
my phone getting really hot.. its really weird what is the reason
Would this patch work on the stock kernel?

What setup do you have? Currently I'm running Android Revolution HD 4.1.3 with faux kernel 0.2.2 beta 2 and I am getting no heat problems like I was when I was running 0.2.1 final. I also have amaze camera, modified bootanimations, EQS, APM, custom battery icon, and the 4G symbols added on. Only thing I did was switch my kernel. The patch helped with the 0.2.1 final faux kernel some but not as much as I would have liked so I switched kernels. I would recommend giving this kernel a try. Link below

No need to cool it down.
If it gets that hot, there is a problem with either sw or hw, it's not normal. So instead of healing symptoms you should look for a cause.
i cant think of any cause,
as my phone worked great before i rooted it and installed ARHD
after i got mike's Rom each time (no matter which version) i ran a game (most likely angry birds) for more then 10 min the phone start to get really really hot.
so.. any ideas? its must be a rom issue which need to be fixed but i got no clue what to do next

Mike's ROM over clocks the CPU and that can result in generating a lot of excess heat. Use the Daemon to put the CPU back to the wake max setting of 1188000.
Hey all I new here
I have a HTC sensation it broke twice so has been sent of for repair loads
Iv recently ft it back with the GPS not working it comes up with the flashing
GPS icon in notification bar but doesn't lock.
So I decided to root it and install fash Rom to se if it could fix the problem
But sadly hasnt.
I realy can't be bothered to send it away again because they are crap at repairs
U always get it back with something else broken lol.
Is there a place were I can buy a GPS receiver and replace mine?
Hope to here what you guys think.

It's not a hardware issue. Download GPS status from the market and clear the GPS cache. Should fix your problem.

For the most part it should work. Usually whenever gps shows sats but doesn't lock it mostly has to do with kernels, ril/radio combos, and the version of superuser one is on.
I had an issue where the gps would not lock at all, but after a lot of troubleshooting, I ran into those issues. I just flash whatever rom I want, make sure the ril and radio combo works. Do not mess with the kernels for now and test for gps. If it doesn't work, try crypted's fix.
Thanks guys ill that. If it doesn't work can I jus flash a diiferent kernel and dif version of superuser if so what would you put on a HTC sensation on o2?

Just a fyi, I have always had problems with faux kernels and running gps. Is that kernel the bundled into the rom? Is there a more 'stock' kernel you can try?
Also use file explorer/astro to the system/etc folder. Make sure you just delete the suplrootcert. It's not needed to run gps at all. Totally optional file the gps.conf file uses, but I delete it anyways.
yea it was a bundle i think there was a stock rom. what rom and kernels are good for sensation.

Shut down the phone and take the battery out for 30 seconds. Put it back in and then turn the phone back on. That fixed the problem for me, and it also worked for a number of other people. It might work for you, although there is only one way to find out!

I Have a HTC Sensation. I had revolution hd on it, but got bored of sense so i installed virtuios inquistion with the stock ics. After a month of using it on that rom. My phone will randomly turn of through out the day. If I tried to turn it back on. It will start to boot up, but turn off again. If I did manage to get it back up, my battery will be drained to like 10 or 5%.
I went back to my old rom, revolution hd and I still have this issue. It makes it quite annoying when u want to use your phone, the moment the screen turns on, it shuts it self off and drains the battery. it always picks a random time to do it. once it does it hard to get it back and running after that unless i give it a fill charge.
Is it my battery, kernel, or my phone? any ideas.
It's probably the kernal you have did u try to return back to stock

A factory reset won't fix a kernel issue. Reflash the universal 3.32 firmware. If it is kernel related you will be back to the stock kernel.

Are You under clocked at all? If so could be under clocked too much . If under clocked adjust and raise CPU. This should help if under clocking is the issue. If not have you experimented to see if the reboot issue is still present with a different Rom? Do try and see if problem still persists. Hope this helps.

You can turn on sweep to wake in most kernels by using kernel tuner. Just go to misc. Tweaks and scroll down you will see where it will say sweep to wake off. Simply turn it on from there.
