I am using the application S2U2 on the htc touch 2. How do I prevent the application from locking the hardware keys as well as the screen?
On receiving a call I want to be able to press the end call/power key to end the call rather than having to slide to unlock and then enter password - which is highly inconvenient.
Hope someone can help
Thanks

Hello
When I take my HTC Touch pro out of my pocket, I always press on the answer key of the touch screen. And sometimes I don't know that I did that. So the person who calls me, can hear me and that isn't funny.
Is it possible when I receive an incomming call that I first have to put my device on and then press on the answer button of my touch screen. Or without putting the device on and press the hardware button te answer my phone?
(I also have the S2U2 application, is it possible with that application)
thanks in advance.

Hi there, i'm new here and done extensive searching before asking my question here. So plz no flaming if question is asked in the wrong section
Here's the issue; i've got a HTC Touch Pro 2 and everytime i make a phonecall, my ear presses several buttons on the touchscreen, apps and games get started, processes get killed, etc... quite annoying. Now i found several apps that will lock the touchscreen when called (which nicely will solve the above issue..), but found none that will do the same when i make the call myself.
So what i'm searching for is an app that will
- lock the touchscreen when being called
- lock the touchscreen when making a call
which will unlock when
pulling out the stylus and/or by pressing the hardware-answerbutton or volumebuttons.
anyone out here that knows of an app that'll do just that or something similar?
Thnx in advance!
FDZ
I'd understood the screen was supposed to turn off automatically when you put it up to your ear?
Or, there's a piece of software that does that... Have a look over in the Rhodium software forum.
Yea, my touch pro 2 (UK) does lock the screen and unlocks with "end call" when moved away from ear.
Don't know why yours doesn't?
Hi, I wonder if there are any programs that serve to block the physical keys Htc HD2 (Leo). A greeting

InCall Lock - Lock Send/End buttons on incoming call
InCall Lock will temporarily disable Send (aka Talk, Green) and End (aka Red) hardware buttons when you receive an incoming call in order to prevent accidental call pickups/rejects while you are pulling your device out of your pocket. All other hardware buttons are untouched.
After you answer/reject your call the application will release the buttons, so you will be able to hang up, put calls on hold etc. using hardware buttons normally.
The application, after being launched, will remain resident in memory but will not use any CPU cycles at all as it relies on WM Notification system and doesn't do any polling. As it is using WM internal event system, it should work regardless of OS language, installed dialer etc.
This is a zero config application and has no options (yes, this is a feature). I personally needed an application that would do just this - temporarily block these buttons. If you need a device locker, try PocketShield or other available solutions.
How to use:
* Install attached cab
* Soft reset or launch "InCall Lock Toggle"
* To enable/disable InCall Lock temporarily, use InCall Lock Toggle in your Programs menu.
* To disable it permanently, just uninstall via Settings - Remove Programs

Ciao
Thanks, I'll try.
ALDAS this file is great, its simply what im looking for since 3 hours searching for solution to that problem. but this solution solve my problem 50% since the end key still working and able to hangup any received call. i appropriate it if you give me another file which can block both send and end keys.
im using HTC HD2
thanks for your help, that problem made me thinking to get rid of this phone.
sorry i meant fotone, thanks
Does this exist for android builds? I really want to disable the damned end (red) hangup on a call !
I personally never use the hard call button to make a call, and it is still often a source of accidental calls.
I use Exidler's Hd2ProximityScreenOff, so i don't need in theory a screen lock. Very, very usefull. Some accidental calls have been made though.
Here is what i found so far :
- Vangrieg InCall Lock is great, but works only when a call is received.
- Aebutton plus doesn't help for long press on call button.
- I searched on whole registry for "cprog.exe" (The dialer processus) without interesting founds.
I would be so grateful if someone find a way to remove this call function when pressing the button, if possible using with no process in background ...
Why dont you just enable the lock screen that way you cant accidentally make a call when it comes on.
thank for your reply optiknerv.
with hd2proximityscreenoff, I think we are in a new and intuitive way to use phones, something apple did not patent already ! ;-)
we dont need anymore a screen lock, but kind of key lock can be, in very rare cases, useful.
I guess it is impossible to map this button ...
Have you ever tried AEBPlus??
It locks every kind of key - software keys too - and make them addressable to other application
You'll find it on http://ae.inc.ru

Why insist to map the button? Screen lock solves your problem. Try S2U2 or TLP. They will make sure you don't press the green hard key by accident. If you use proximity to auto unlock, there is no extra action on your side. The green hard key (and the phone) is locked whenever the phone is in your bag or pocket.
thanks you very much alex. touch lock pro solved my problem and can use well proximity sensor after some settings.
I dropped my phone in the bath tub. the far right side of my touch screen does not work. This is not a big problem with stock sense keyboard, I still have the 'P' key but if I try to use any other keyboards (swiftkey X, my fav) I have to rotate to landscape to press 'P' (or pull down menu). Is there anyway to fix this? The problem happens regardless of the rom I use so I was wondering if there is a way to remap the touch screen or just shift the keyboard over a bit so I can have my 'P' with swiftkeyX. It's the EVO 4G. Thanks for your input even if this is a lost cause ;-)
