I am trying to get the camera from the CM7 rom to work with weapon but if I pull the apk out and try to install it it will install but it will not open in portrait or landscape. It just force closes every time. Im thinking if I had a flashable zip that may work but I cant find it anywhere and Im not even sure exactly which camera they use but I like it. I use the front camera a lot so Im trying to stay away from Lg 3.0 camera. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help.

My camera suddenly stopped working, I took pictures yesterday as usual but this morning when I tried to take some, well the camera just doesn't want to launch itself..

you haven't given much information. Does the camera app start with a black screen? Have you tried to start the app via the shortcut instead of the button. If the camera was bad i'd think the software would still run. Could your button be bad?
No nothing works, it's not even recognized by the pda anymore, I tried to launch it with any way possible, I tried to reflash but it's still not recognized. I also looked if the camera was ok (inside the pda, dunno how to say) but it was still in place, it suddenly stopped being recognized after flashing a rom radio

if you have problems with camera after flshing original rom, then your hardware is broken.
I've flashed multiple aosp roms and every time the camera dosent work, it takes pics but they don't save and when i go to camcorder and hit record it just fc's. ive tried the aosp camera mod and it will take pics and save then but the camcorder still fc's i have even odin back to stock and tried again i have searched but cant figure out why my cam dosent work i see it does for other people this is mind boggling. Does anybody have any idea on what may be wrong?

yes and it works somewhat but crashes alot, i was just wondering if anybody else had these problems or is it just me.
I've been having camera issues with my Skyrocket for a while now. About 1/4 the times I start up my camera app, it will display what the camera is seeing, but none of the user interface is there. No option buttons, no focus rectangle - nothing. If I try to hit the back button, it lags out for a while and will usually (after 30+ seconds) tell me that the camera app is not responding. If I hit the Home button, it takes me back home, but opening the camera app again will still show the camera's view without the UI.
If I follow this guy's suggestion, it does work.

However, this process is tedious and time consuming, especially if this is happening 1/4 the times I use my camera. I use my camera a lot on my phone, and this has been a huge PITA. This might just be speculation on my part, but I don't recall having this issue before rooting my phone. I was hoping that by upgrading from Seanz ICS to [4.1.2] [UCLL3] Stock Debloat it would solve my problem, but unfortunately it hasn't.
Does anyone know of a more permanent way of preventing the camera app from crashing so frequently?
I just wanted to bump this one final time to see if anyone had any suggestions for me. I still have no clue why it's failing to boot the camera's UI sometimes, but it is extremely annoying and I would appreciate any help, suggestions, or even hypotheses at this point.

return to stock with odin and see if that cures it, wipe before and after returning to stock ics, if its still a prob then its hardware failure
edit: or an app that youre installing is interfering wth the camera, or sdcard issues
Download ICS Camera from the Play Store. Works great even when stock camera isn't. I don't know why.

Hey all,
For some time now, my camera has not been working...kinda. If I use the regular app or any third party camera app, it comes up as a black screen, freezes, and closes down. But then something weird happened.
I started playing Pokemon GO. On the bits where the camera is enabled (to throw Pokeballs), the camera works! Even more bizarre, if I open the camera app while Pokemon GO is running, it will work just fine! This applies to both the front and back camera, both of which had the issue I mentioned.
Only when the app is open though. When I close it and try to go back to the camera then no-go. I have done a reset on the phone, I have tried all kinds of third party apps, I have tried booting in safe mode. Nothing works except what I just mentioned.
Can anyone shed some light on what might be going on? I'd like to use the camera without opening Pokemon GO but I am OK with it for now since I can use my camera again, albeit in a convoluted way.
I was thinking about trying a custom kernel (insomuch as I can with a locked phone). Worth a shot?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi guys. I have nice phone, Uhans u200 but i have problem. 4 days ago my camera stop working. Front camera is upside down, and i cant switch to rear camera, and cant use flashlight. I search something in options, but im not found nothing interested. What can i do? Do you think, if i will reinstall software it will be good? If yes, someone know where can i find rom to uHans? Maybe custom rom will be better stock? Please, help me
