I've flashed multiple aosp roms and every time the camera dosent work, it takes pics but they don't save and when i go to camcorder and hit record it just fc's. ive tried the aosp camera mod and it will take pics and save then but the camcorder still fc's i have even odin back to stock and tried again i have searched but cant figure out why my cam dosent work i see it does for other people this is mind boggling. Does anybody have any idea on what may be wrong?

yes and it works somewhat but crashes alot, i was just wondering if anybody else had these problems or is it just me.

I am trying to get the camera from the CM7 rom to work with weapon but if I pull the apk out and try to install it it will install but it will not open in portrait or landscape. It just force closes every time. Im thinking if I had a flashable zip that may work but I cant find it anywhere and Im not even sure exactly which camera they use but I like it. I use the front camera a lot so Im trying to stay away from Lg 3.0 camera. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the help.

not only does it say "cannont connect to camera" but, the "Torch" flashlight does not work as well, i've flashed the camera libs over. and full wipe/flash but still can't get it to work i'm on CM9. :/ please do help!

What version of CM9 are your on? Anythiny lower than Alpha 6 will have camera issues. There are two types of cameras for the DS. So there needs to be two kinds of drivers. The fix was implemented in A6. A simple reboot will work. If not just power off and do a battery pull. Count to 10, and power on.

i'm on alpha6, but i've changed to stock rom for a bit. i want to mess with all the camera functions it does. by any chance do you know how to disable the auto-cap function? there isn't a box to check or uncheck it.
i im runing cm9 stable 9.1 and the camera keeps force closing dose anyone know how to fix

I used to have that issue with CM9, try re-flash, be sure to wipe properly.

Camera doesn't work well with 1080 on CM, you can open apps under settings, go to all apps, scroll to camera, and wipe date. Then don't put back into 1080.
I've had issues with the Panoramic photo. It keeps FCing if I try to do a Panoramic shot that takes longer than 3 seconds, which isn't an ideal situation.
Hello. Need some help. Flashed JellyBean MagicMod on my Atrix 2 MB865 (was on ICS leak#1). DEscription of the ROM says that face camcorder not work. OK. But I've encountered with back camcorder not working. It starts record normally, but when I press stop button it says that Camera error. There is video clip in gallery, but it can't be opened. Is there any solution? I have read all thread about this rom. Help.
a couple of lines below that clearly states that camera/camcorder is not working on any custom camera app , you need either go back to ics, wait till dev figure it out or live with it

You are right about custom app. But I'm trying to use system cam app and getting such error. Other people said about fully working rear camera video recording.
Camcorder not working is a known issue for CM10 and MagicMod. If camcorder or camera are important to your phone use, then you need to use a Moto Rom. You can try other apps and playing around with the included camcorder to try and get it to work (i think some have), but I wouldn't hold my breath or rely on the camera or camcorder working at 100%.
I got the camera working fairly well with CameraZoom FX although it takes very noisy pics. Camcorder never really worked for me on CM10 or MagicMod, but I never used it to begin with so I don't miss it and have not played around with trying to get it to work.
Hey guys I've some Problems with the gcam
The HDR notification gets every time stuck after taking a picture.
I have to fc the gcam apk and then reopen it to get rid of the notification.
I dont know what I'm doing wrong.
My girlfriend has the same device without this issue.

Ive seen that before usually on custom roms with gcam mod though. Try wiping cache maybe that will sort it
