What really weird is Rockstar did a port of GTA III for PSP, wich has a 333 MHz CPU and now it needs a 1GHz dual CPU for porting it to Android?

The release date is supposed to be December 15, 2011. See here: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswi...year-anniversary-edition-coming-to-mobil.html.
Hope they port it for Mid range devices
Bought it for my Live with Walkman, and have to say that gameplay is quit good, overall performance is nice, but sometimes game a bit laggy, I think that is too low memory.
I'm having problems with the game. After downloading the additional gamefiles (approx. 450MB) and pressing next, it just transfers to a black screen. Nothing's happening, tried leaving the screen on for a few minutes, but still nothing. Anyone else having similar problems?
Running SGS II (international version) on CM7 nightlies #115. I know the latest one is #116 but #115 is much more stable. Though I'll try updating to see if it works.
Runs on my Optimus ONE (V, armv6). It has no sound during gameplay, and is sluggish.
But it runs, which surprised me.
Hi,
i have no problems on SGS2 (CheckRom+Siyah) and Desire HD (ICS Beta 7).

Im looking fora Android tablet. And i want to use it as a gaming platform. So wich one has the best present/future game support? Im talking about Gameloft/etc.
I would go with either the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or the Asus Eee Pad Transformer w/dock.
I'll probably go with the galaxy tab, but then aging I haven't seen too much gaming development going on, so I would wait for the next google tablet (maybe some months from now) or get an iPad 2 (definitely good for gaming)
Sent from my iPhone 4S
All honeycomb tablets have the same graphic capabilities. Now which one is overall better? I think the transformer since you can use it as a lappy. But the galaxy tab 10.1 is a bit smoother thanks to samsung. The new galaxy tab 7" will have hardware better than the other tablets, but you will not be able to play some tegra games on it. e.g. monster madness, bang bang racing, GOF2, etc.
If however it is just pure gaming, the iPad2 is the best of them all, no contest.
The answer is obviously the Asus Prime. Comes out next month and is thinner than the Ipad 2 w the quad core tegra 3.

True. An iPad 1 can easily beat the most powerful Android tablet in terms of gaming experience: it's not a matter of hardware, there aren't console quality games on Android, and imho we're not getting any in the near future: it's too complicated and expensive for developers to port the real games to Android, there are too many devices.

Well really all they need to do is make their games in standard openGL and then everyone will be able to play their games. Unless standard openGL just isn't say powerful enough to get the games we want. Well for a console games we're getting GTA 3. xD Wish we could get games like real racing or infinity blade.

No you're missing the point. He is saying that even though it has the power, we have to find devs who will sit down and code these powerful games for us. Which I think the devs who can are already into the console business, just need to convince them that the mobile business is profitable also.
Actually you're all dead wrong. Best tablet for gaming is the Sony tablet S. It actually DOES have console quality games. The full PlayStation online store. Everything the xperia play can do.
I have a transformer and love it but honestly at this point I'd wait for the quad core tablets to come out. Shouldn't be much longer. Although price wise the transformer for the money is a great deal in my opinion.

@Retrolock GTAIII is made avalaible exclusivlely for HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, T-Mobile G2x, Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1, Sony Tablet S şi Toshiba Thrive. but it seems it works on other snapdragon devices well, but not optimized as tegra2.
Running on HyperSensation.
I bought it.
Indeed, it's not always super smooth, really playable, but not really smooth.
But my first question is:
I bought it from the market (about 3.80 euros, no way I would have waited!!!), and immediatly used CF3D to set Nvidia plugin.
Now I've read that it can be played on the Sensation without using Chainfire3D
But the fact is that if I don't use CF3D, it just doesn't start for me, goes back to home screen, or sometimes freezes my Sensation
I'm using ARHD 3.6.8 (so sense 3.0 base)
Are you guys running it with or without CF3D ????
If you don't use CF3D, I wonder why I can't get it running without it ....(or the "fix market" function of CF3D made me dowload a Tegra2-only version from the market???? Maybe I should try to remove CF3D, GTA3, then get the game again from the market without CF3D installed??)
I wish i could pay with paypal in the market. I don't have a cc..

EDIT: Reinstalling the game and downloading the data again did the trick .. now playing
You know what's funny? It works on the the Rezound, but no other device with the same CPU/GPU (Sensation, Amaze, T-Mobile GS2, etc). That's really silly.

I think you're right, and I also think having CF3D on my device + the "fix market" function of CF3D made me download the Tegra2 version (I see only one version on the market), that would explain I can't play it without using CF3D
Even is it is about as smooth as the video above (once textures reduced to 16 bits, and if I let to 32bits, the image is darker than the video above, and it's less smooth), I'm going to try removing CF3D completly then download the game again, to see if I can play it without CF3D
I have no lag what so Ever! Some hick ups bit i assume it is the game loading, like playing ingame videos.

Hey guys. I will be able to change my phone real soon and I'm kinda in a dilemma on which phone to get, the Xperia Play or S2. I'm planning to use my new phone for gaming LOL. Xperia Play has 1Ghz processor and 512mb of ram, but has that fancy looking controller. S2 on the other hand, has 1.2Ghz processor and an amazingly 1gb ram, to compensate for the controller, it is a ridiculously thin smartphone and a better processor. I'm looking for the smartphone which is optimised for gaming.. I want to know you guys opinion!

The device you pick should really depend if you really want to play a lot of games on your cell phone. I have both the xperia play and the T-Mobile galaxy s 2 that I use for T-Mobile.
The galaxy s 2 is really great phone that you wont be disappointed in because...
.1 gig of ram really helps multitasking (compared to 512)
.2gb of space storage compared to 512mb(really like 400mb for you to use)
. You can connect the phone with an HDMI cable to an HD TV with the help from an adapter.
The xperia play is a really good phone because...
.to play so many games from the android market, emulators that play Playstation 1, N64, SNES,NES, etc.
. It has surprisingly good battery for gaming.
* I like both phones but since I am on T-Mobile I use the galaxy s 2 more because of the 4G connectivity. If I could use the xperia play for faster internet I would pick that one. Pick the xperia play ONLY if you really like playing a lot of games on it like me.
Since the galaxy s 2 is newer compared to the xperia play it is technically better but since games on the galaxy s 2 are okay, they are better with actual hardware controls.
I hope I helped. Sorry for the long post.

I just did some research on it. It's model is i9103 right?
Wait. On the first quarter of next year SE will probably launch a new play, probably with their new NovaThor SoC, which is just as graphically capable as the Exynos, but the processor is a little worse, eveb though is still dual core.

sgs 2 cause of performance and look
sgs2 wins in all areas
SG 2 is better in performance, and overall, but Xperia Play is made for games so it's up to you, obviously is more comfortable to have the buttons to play the games, so in the end you will have to decide between that, overall performance vs comfort in a specific area.
gs2 plus if u have a ps3 or Xbox 360 you can connect it via Bluetooth.

Well, I've got a HP Touchpad and love it. It's a webOS device, but you can get Android installed and it will work as a dual boot. There are a limited number of ROMs available at the moment, but that number's slowly growing.
The Asus Transformer Prime has an unlocked bootloader, which opens up the possibility of ROMs being developed. I dunno if there are any ATM available, but if not, I'd suspect they won't be far out.
Tablets are still relatively new gadgets, so they're bound to get ROMs in the future...but also there are probably lots more devs working on ROMs for phones than ROMs for tablets.
Have a look around the Asus TP forum, and you might find some...but I dunno, I haven't checked.
