Need 3d App Drawer - HTC Desire S

hello guys,
I guess still there is nobody who created an 3D app drawer (as in Nexus one or ADW launcher or some other launchers) patch for HTC ROMs. So, if anyone know anything about it, please post here.
My idea on this topic is, there should some files in the 'anim' folder in framework-ros or com.htc.resources... if we can replaced the file with file that is responsible for the 3d effects extracting from ADW launcher or other launchers, it should be possible. But I,myself, don't know which file is responsible for the app drawer..
Please your ideas & solutions (if anyone have), post here.
Thanks.

Maybe this should be a Sense 3.0 or 3.5 roms with 3D?

[HELP] [WIDGET] extract htc desire sense widgets

someone could extract the widgets and the music player of
rom MODACO HTC SENSE DESIRE, for use in the nexus one with the
cyano rom? or if I could tell what files are what I
be drawn?
I'm interested in following widgets and app
1. settings
2. contact
3. weather
4. twitter
5. people
6. messages
7. mail
8. stream friend

maybe someone could extract these widgets and app, or tell me that
are files that I have to extract the rom
greetings and thanks in advance
This is an age old topic for any sense/hero ROM. HTC widgets only work on HTC's framework so you can't just use their widgets on any ROM.
I seen a long time ago someone mentioned that there is a wrapper around the widgets and possibly there might be a way to remove the wrapper to make it work on different builds but dont know if its true or how hard
http://rapidshare.com/files/353766794/Desire-apk.zip
Somebody test out the widget files? I don't have rapidshare.
Doubt the widgets will work with cyanogen's mod but keeping my fingers crossed....

This would be awesom...
If you want Sense widgets you need a Sense ROM.
There are plenty of imitations going around but nothing beats the real thing.

[Q] Landscape Sense UI for Evo?

I know alot of people have been asking about this, so is there a definite answer? Is there a rom that will allow sense Weather Wigdet (home) to go in landscape mode? I would also like to know if there is word on an upcoming Desire Z rom which will allow that. No, I dont have time to check every thread in this GIGANTIC forum and I'm just asking a simple question. Please share the info and post. Thanks!
While I don't know much about sense, couldn't you simply drop the HTC Launcher homescreen app in the apps folder and delete your current one? I mean you already have all the HTC Sense trimmings so everything else should be there

Theming Sense Lock-Screen

So I have searched around on Google as well as XDA and I can't seem to find my answer. I would like to edit the default Sense 2.0 lock-screen images but I can't seem to find them. I know Rosie images are in the HTC Resources APK as well as the Framework Res APK but looking around in either one of these APKs has not led me to find the lock-screen images. If they are here, can anyone tell me which directory the PNGs are in as well as the file name?
While I am asking, what do I have to edit in Rosie to disable landscape mode?
Thanks for any help guys. I apologize if it has been answered before but my searches aren't helping.
I believe you need to look for the HTCLockScreen.apk. I don't remember where it is located though. Haven't used a Sense ROM in a long time.
*It's IncREDible*
The HTCLockscreen all doesn't have the pull down graphics that I am looking for. Already checked
FYI I am doing this on a Sense 2.0 ROM
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
They are in the com.htc.resources.apk and all begin with lockscreen
If I remember correctly the are in drawable-hdpi
Wow. Don't know how I missed them. Thanks for the help. Anybody want to help me tackle the rotating Rosie?
Like I said, haven't been on a Sense ROM in a LONG time. Not since Redemption Revolution first came out. Been running senseless or OMFGB ever since.

[Q] Prerooted Sense rom and custom Launcher

Hi, I want ask if is possible in pre rooted sense rom change sense launcher for Go Launcher Ex. I don't like sense native launcher.
If I install on sense rom GoLauncherEx.... native sense launcher run on background.... It's possible replace native sense launcher with Go Launcher Ex?
Sry for my english...
If you don't want any part of the sense experience, why use a sense ROM? It would just be running in the background using resources.
Sorry if I misunderstand you.

Why not use aosp or aokp? There are no sense launchers running in background

You guys obviously know, that sense is not only the launcher, but also quite a few other tricks and tweaks across the system? I would have to double check, but while You cannot get rid of sense completely, launcher doesn't seem to stay in memory when other is chosen as default action for home button etc.

Yeah i've seen a lot of people add a custom launcher to sense for a lot of reasons. Sense adds a lot of functionality to the ROM and some can't live without the widgets. There may be reasons. But anyway, a custom launcher doesn't require root but i suppose it's good you have it. Just get one from the market and it should work.
However, i don't think it's possible to replace the sense launcher. Sense seems to take a huge impact if you remove a part of it. That is one problem.
EDIT: I've just seen that you can disable the sense launcher by getting an app called SystemApp Remover. The app does cost though but should stop sense launcher from running without removing it. The app you want to disable is Rosie.apk. Make a backup incase and make sure the 3rd party launcher is installed before you do this!!
I suppose Titanium Backup could do the same by freezing the Rosie.apk but you would still have to pay for the pro version.
Once again i'd like to say if you try this, make sure you have a backup and also you install the 3rd party launcher before you freeze it!

Hmm.... maybe I try this.... when will be finished first Sense 4 ROM.... Thanks for response
hmm was thinking about the same thing and exploring the inside of the rom.
is it possible to (1)remove any launcher/app.apk and (2)add in any apps of your own, in system/app ? or it is more complicated than that?
Actually there is a Sense-less WipeOut ROM, the ROM is still based on Sense, but uses ICS-based launcher (can't rmbr whether it is Nova/Apex/trebuchet)..
maybe OP can try that? But mind you that ROM is Sense 4.0A based, so some functions may not be working properly yet (touch to focus camera, WiFi hotspot, etc) but it is stable enough as daily driver..
I hope this is what OP means..
i use apex launcher and have rosie.apk frozen by titanium backup. you can also delete it with root explorer if you want. mind that display personalise settings aren't working any more without rosie or with rosie frozen, so you have to set all those things before you ger rid of it.

[APP][SENSE 3.6/4/4A/4.5][2012/9/17 1.42]HTC Lockscreen Shortcut Provider

This is my second Android app. I develop this little app because I prefer 3rd party launcher (e.g. Apex) than existing Sense 4 Rosie. Existing hacked Sense 4 Rosie (full version) currently doesn't support non Sense widget correctly and is less feature-rich than many other launchers.
Even if you install a 3rd party launcher, Rosie still consume your precious memory as a system service. But if you freeze Rosie and thus release it from memory, you'll lose your lockscreen app shortcuts. After painstakingly reviewing the codes in HTC shortcut components, I found that Rosie actually act as a content provider to supply information of its launcher bar shortcuts to lockscreen. So without Rosie, lockscreen has no information to construct its shortcuts. Therefore I wrote this little app to replace the role of Rosie as the content provider. What's more, it allows you to select your own apps with a simple config screen and store the data separately. And it doesn't stay in the memory permanently.
Installation instructions:
Uninstall Rosie (Freezing doesn't work because Android doesn't allow two content providers of same type) ** You're reminded to make a backup first **
Install HTC Lockscreen Shortcut Provider
Run Lockscreen Shortcuts
Select your app for the 4 shortcuts
Hit back to save settings and notify HTC lockscreen
MD5: 30056AA5EF4716ADCD043B2751A3943B
** Currently this app has been tested to work with Sense 3.6, 4, 4A and 4.5 **
Change log
1.42
- Send broadcast notification to lockscreen on phone boot (should fix shortcut not showing issue after a reboot for TrickDroid)
1.41
- New option to hide app title
1.4
- Add support for Sense 4.5 (thanks Patrics83 for testing new version and support!). You MUST uninstall any previous version first.
1.3
- Add support for Sense 4A
1.2.1
- Fixed FC when loading installed apps
1.2
- Add support for Sense 3.6
1.1
- Added broadcast message to HTC lockscreen so no reboot is needed!
Great idea. Next time I'm on a sense rom I'll give it a shot

Is that also working if i just want different icons on my lockscreen than on my Sense Launcher bar?
Just wanted to ask that.
Nice app bro!

It doesn't work that way currently because this app replaces Rosie and cannot coexist with it.
But what you want to do can be done. You need to mod the idlescreen_Base.apk to use a different message to request for the shortcuts and change my app to listen to that message. This way, Rosie can coexist with this app and lockscreen will communicate with this app for the shortcuts.

You are my hero!
I needed this so badly wow you did exactly what I dreamed that some1 should create
Update:
Its not working.. :\
I thought it did at first but I guess it was still because of the last run of the HTC Rosie Sense.
After a restart the icons are gone and no matter if I go back to the app and rechange the list, the lockscreen is still empty.. :\
Can I help in any way to make it work? Perhaps sending some log files?

Can you give me more information?
What ROM are you using?
Did you see a toast (popup message) "Notified HTC lockscreen" after saving the shortcuts settings?
If possible a logcat would help
I'm quite confident that it works for DHD since it's so similar to IncS if you're using a supported ROM.
I will give this a try. I hope it works because I am using Blackout ROM (Sense 3.6). It is just what I was looking for! Rosie looks nice but takes too much memory and is very feature limited so I want a third party launcher but still want to try and use a Sense based rom.
Thanks man and hope it works .
Thank you
Gooooooood work ! :good:
That's exactly what i was looking for
Thank you very much.

People that managed to make this work please write down your ROM, I don't care to switch ROM right now, this is more important

Doesn't work dude. I deleted rosie, installed your app, put the apps i wanted as shortcuts and everything looked fine until trying to open the apps from the lockscreen. When i try to do that nothing happens and the phone unlocks at home screen. Will try to provide logcat tomorrow. Can't do it now cause I'm on the road.

I know about the issue in Sense 3.6 and I'll try to find a solution. As for aLogcat, after it's running, you need to go to the lockscreen and unlock it. Go back to aLogcat and save the log file and send it to me. If the lockscreen generate any error, I'll be able to see it.
