I love MIUI Roms, I had it on my Mytouch 4G and it not only had the best battery life but it was just a joy to use I prefer it over any other UI. I sure hope someone ports it over to the G2x.

Just install another launcher. I loved miui plus launcher pro on my g2

If someone wants to help me out...i had it ported to the vibrant. Until i got bored with it.

you can always make a folder that holds AALLLL of the apps. my only issue with miui launcher was that it didnt support scrollable widgets. other than that it was the best. miui on the g2x would be sswweeettt

not gonna lie. a fully functional miui is one thing I was hoping to get when I bought this phone. fingers crossed

I would FREAKIN love MIUI on this phone. I'm hoping someone would port it out. I would love to "try" and help out if needed with some guidance...

I took acouple pngs from my old mtz files on my computer.. and just throwing them into the rom.. its my theme but with other people icon.. don't worry credit will be given

Get used to that here. Thats the reason I said screw the Sidekick. I'm getting a G2X soon. Everyone here is rude and disrespectful. Worst forum section ever. I regret ever getting the Sidekick.

nothing special, a couple build props here and there to smooth things up... also I'm in the process of trying to get one of my buds to port his kernel to us...

Let's stop acting so negative , it's not that the sidekick suck's it's actually a great device's it's just that it has alot of people on th esection but not as man developers which make's the phone a bit hard to deal with .

I'll suggest you get more picture's & bigger picture's take them with a camera or ShootMe from the marketplace .

cant wait to see it in action... I'm diggin all these different ROMs out there to help us actually LIKE our phone... If only most sidekick users knew they didn't have to deal with constant FC isues and freezing up and restarting... as for the voicemail notification... who cares, your phone runs better than ever, if you don't like that theres no voicemail notification, dont root and flash your phone... enjoy the original ROM if you can

I'm not sure you could port a kernel to the sidekick , is it a GB kernel if it is good luck lol

[Q] Looking for testers

Hi, I know I haven't contributed much to the community, so I decided to work on something.
I've just finished building a MIUI port for our phone, but I haven't tested it yet. Still in the process of making a nandroid backup right now.
So I was wondering if anybody wanted to help test this or help fix bugs and whatnot. I can't guarantee that this won't brick your phone, sorry.
So... is anybody interested?

Isn't MIUI based off CM?
Also, I'd be willing to test.. as long as I can recover my phone in event of failure. Haha.

well so far... testing hasn't been great... I'm just getting a black screen... I'll PM you the link though. If you have any experience with roms, maybe you can help me out.

Also, thanks. I'm no dev but I have messed around with building ROM'S. I'll look at it tomorrow morning and see if I can get it to boot.
EDIT: I don't see a pm, could be because I'm on the xda app falling asleep though. Shoot me one and I'll see what I can figure out.

Cm7 is too buggy to get MIUI good enough for daily. I suggest waiting for cm9 to work on miui 4.0 or even better one of the real time miui porter is working on the T-Mobile sgs2

Am I correct in assuming that cm9 will not have wifi calling support? I live in a brick sided loft so it's impossible to get a signal here.

I'd say no. I have a MyTouch 4G Slide with CM9.1 official and wireless calling works great (with a little bug that sometimes forces speakerphone first instead of headset)!

I wanted to check out dsp and apollo on this and headphone volume has a bug. Volume is full until muted meaning there is no control... quite the surprise at 1am lol

So I cant find any way to add Widgets and I believe ipv6 doesn't work but I don't have anymore time to play with it tonight I need to get some sleep

It's called UNOFFICIAL because Cyanogenmod didn't make it and don't support it...so it's not "official".

Oops I forgot Widgets are added through app drawer

did a full wipe format ect...sensor based rotation is off the screen is opposite of the way i hold my phone lol it only doesnt do it on home. restarting didnt help

I did read op but figured I would share my experience with it so far, now it doesn't seem to want to roatate at all its stuck vertically all well everything else seems great I can wait for an updated version thanks eric.

This is purely awesome. For those wondering if switching over from is Stock is worth it, do IT! This is so much smoother and just more feature packed. Maybe future builds can include Jellybean transitions?

The camera works just fine. The only issue is the sensor- location as stated in OP, that can make capturing an image a bit difficult. Everything is perfect.

Need Some Testers!

I am porting a Jellybean rom from the desire hd, its a touchwize rom. Wifi DOES NOT WORK, i am trying to fix that now. I CAN guarantee 48 gigs FREE from dropbox, this can be used even if you have tooken up htc's 24 gigs, i know this because i tried it, check out the attatched png. I would like some more experienced people testing this as the aim is to fix wifi because i can't debug to save my life lol. Hit me up with a pm or if you have me on gtalk use that!
Edit: Wifi now works. Camera DOES NOT

Did you change the vendor folder to glacier one. That could fix your WiFi problem.

I know, its like the keyboard doesnt space correctly,but the thing i notice is if you write over your sig it still comes out alright once you push your post!!!
