[Q] 100% Battery Issue - T-Mobile LG G2x

After Flashing G2x to the new CM7.1.0.1 and restoring my apps from TB, battery level was what it was before I flashed from Weapon G2x 2.7 (around 35%). After first reboot I noticed that the battery graphic in the status bar change to a picture with a ? in the middle. I then played around with some of the CM settings and changed the display to % which then changed to 100%
I flashed ROM to my backup of Weapon G2x 2.7 with the same symptom. I then went into CWM and wiped the battery stats, rebooted, and had the same problem.
Now I have flashed to EaglesBlood 2.3.7 GB and have the same issue!!
In all of these ROMs I have tried charging from wall charger as well as PC and do not get a charging indicator how ever I am able to USB storage.
Any suggestions?!
UPDATE 1: Just plugged phone in while in off state and the charging battery displayed. Must be an issue in the OS it self.

Install battery calibrator from the market, charge too 100%, use the app, unplug and use it till it shuts itself off then charge to 100% without interruption.
I always get the ? Battery after flashing a rom and even sometimes after a reboot but it settles itself after a couple seconds. Normally after it preps the after card.

Ok, i dont know what changed but I let it run for about an hour and the percent jumped down to 78%. I am now getting the charging icon. Going to completely discharge, wipe battery stats, fully charge, and then wipe battery stats again.

[Q] Problem with Battery Calibration Nexus

Hi
I have tried to get the battery to calibrate to 100% using the Battery Calibration 1.3 Nexus app.
I have thalamus 2.6.35.14 r2 kernel installed on my phone which is a requirement of the Calibration app.
I have done tried it twice and successful got it to achieve learning mode but it did fully charge, but the battery age was only reading to 94% when I restarted it in the app. I wanted to try it once more and power off instead of restarting it, but Learning mode will not activate any more.
Learning mode gets activated when the battery drains to 3201mV, but mine won't activate, it goes to 3190mV and my phone shuts down. I have tried to reset the battery stats, wipe delvik cache. I did a have modded ver of the kernel 2.6.35.14, so I installed the above kernel but no joy.
Does any one have any ideas? I am quite frustrated... Tried it about 5 times tonight to activate learning mode, but no joy....
I doubt there is need for a "battery calibration app".
Just charge it full and delete /data/system/batterystats.bin
and on next restart it will relearn and calibrate on the battery.
I have done that before, and delete the battery stats, every time I install a new kernel. Phone shutdowns at 8%. I want the phone to shutdown at 0-1%
I read somewhere that the 95% full charge on the Samsung Nexus is intentional. Li-ion batteries don't like to be charged at 100% and drained near 1%. The battery is kept at its optimum charging capacity at 95%.
I don't use battery calibrators

You can't calibrate it perfectly.
No two batteries are the same.
If the voltage suddenly drops below a certain level the phone shuts done, even if it is only at 8%.
It is possible that with repeated use the display will get more accurate.

[Q] LG g2x question mark on battery with eaglesblood

here my problem i flash eaglesbood 2.3,7 and everything is fine then i install my apps nothing major google aaps task killer and even just google app and after a wile my battery stops refreshing and when i restart it,i get a question mark on my battery and all the wigets said 100% witch i know is not, now wen back to stock rom and my battery shows but it get stuck on the current status lets said 90% and for it to refresh i need to restart the phone,, what givess i need help.
Delete your battery stats. Get battery calibrator off the market then charge to 100%, use the app then use the phone till it dies (no charging during this time), then charge back too 100% without interruption.
Battery stats are all screwy after flashing a ROM.

To ensure battery accuracy after flashing new ROMs and kernels, go into CWM and wipe the battery stats in the Advanced section.
To do this correctly, make sure you're at 100% charge when you wipe after the new ROM or kernel is installed.
Ive done the battery wipe but looks like the drivers are getting curupted cus. Even the calibrator says my battery es at 100 Wich is not like the sensor is not detecting charge now if I reset the phone the proper levels show and no question mark on the batt on the bar but after a lil bit it goes back to the (?) And the widget to 100

Clear the stats and do a battery drain/recharge.
Had wacky readings when on my Battery Extender. Was at 0% for like 20 mins of video streaming.
Readings got better after that, but its unreliable until calibrated.
I did, but I'm not getting not even a wacky reading' this is not reading at all

Battery problem?

I don't know if it's the ROM itself, the battery or any other problem but every time my phone dies & I put it on the charge for a couple of minutes, I turn it back on & the battery level jumps up about 30%. What should I do about this?
i.e. I'm not running on the stock ROM.
It might have to do with the Sensation's issue with reporting battery levels accurately--sort of like how your phone stays at 100% for several hours before finally dropping down.
Is it a stock battery or large capicity version, if the larger version there is an issue with some roms or phones recognising the battery correctly
It's the stock battery that came with the phone...do I have to calibrate the battery?
One thing you could try is charging the battery to 100%, then booting into clockworkmod recovery, go to advanced, and click wipe battery stats. Then once the phone boots just unplug it and let it drain from normal use, and charge it to a hundred another 2-3 times and that should get the battery back on track. I did this after changing roms and it worked for me
may some of the wipe battery options can help you

[Q] Roms and battery life - Unable to start phone

Hi,
I have recently tried out a few ROMs with my Nexus S to try to get better battery life. I tried CodeName Android and then figured I would try Slim ICS afterwards. I completely wiped everything and installed Slim ICS.
I have observed the following:
- Battery was ~40% when I installed Slim ICS
- I used it until the battery depleted
- Plugged phone into the wall charger
- Started the phone shortly afterwards (~25 minutes) and it says battery is 100% and then the phone randomly shut off
- Phone has been plugged into the wall charger and when I try to start it now sometimes it boots completely and then shuts off. Other times it just shuts off before it finishes booting up. The few times it does fully boot up, it says the battery is 100%
I've read through many postings about calibration but at this point I am not even able to fully turn on the phone even when its plugged into the wall.
Is this expected or is something else going on? I've never seen anything like this when I had the stock ICS. Why would erroneously report 100% but then not even let me fully turn on the phone? Thanks!

Maybe a bad battery?

Battery is fine. I ended up letting it charge a few hours and it now fully boots up and battery is almost fully charged now.
Whats strange is at times, when the battery was close to empty, when turned off and plugged into the wall, it showed the battery as being completely charged so I don't think it was charging. I had never observed this behavior with the stock ICS.

If it happens again I would suggest taking it to a sprint repair

same problem
Even I have faced the same problem whenever I reboot keeping my pfone charging,
This is very normal,
just let the battery drain completely and next time charge it till 100% it will work perfectly,
It happens with me whenever I install new rom.
basically the battery indicator shows incorrect status also battery will drain very quickly later but once you finish installation just let your phone charge for 3 hours . Problem will get solved

Also, you could try clearing the battery stats in clockwork mod recovery

Thanks. So it sounds like its more of a generic issue with ROMS in general as I never observed this before putting on a custom ROM.

[Q] Flashing ROM's at less than 100% battery

Will flashing a ROM with less than 100% battery harm anything?
My wife's phone is still having issues with the NEWsense rom after getting a new battery from sprint. I flashed NEWsense while the phone was charging, at the time of the flash it was at roughly 45%. When charging, it will say it's charged to 100%, but after 3 hours of light use with wifi on, it's down to 27% already.
Is this something the battery calibration option in the NEWsense control panel would fix? Or is wiping battery stats the best way?
I could always charge to 100%, then re-flash the rom.
I guess I'm just lost as to why this keeps happening.
I flash ROMs with whatever battery I have left and never had an issue.
I don't wipe battery stats because each time the battery charges to full the stats are wiped anyways.
A new battery can take a few charge cycles to start performing like they should so just give it some time.

Did you do a Full Wipe before Flashing the Rom? Did you Restore any Data? In WiFi do you have it set for WiFi-performance? What is your WiFi-sleep Policy set at? Oh BTW did Sprint send you a 1500mAh Battery, or the 1400mAh Battery?
