Hi there I discovered this problem while trying to update my Qtek S200, when I switch off the power on it... and try to turn it back on all I get is the screen and LEDs flash periodically. However when I plug it into the wall charger it turns on just fine as soon as the charging like comes on. As you can imagine this makes updating it quite difficult. So any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated.

Flash new Firmware? What Firmware have you use ... do you know the different betwen G3 or G4 S200?
No idea about the difference between the G3 and G4 S200's mate. I bought the phone off ebay and it seems to be running A dopod rom from pdamobiz.com which made me suspect about it playing up.
Can anyone help me at all?

I'm from Portugal and i bought 1 MDA Compact on TMobile. I Unlocked it with XDAdev v 1.6 and it works great in my network. After i done a stupid thing. I flash it with a wrong rom and it "Dead" . To recover i Reflash with a Jam_10605_169_10500 ship and it return to live. Now power on and let me calibrate stylus but when try to enter in the main screen apear a White Screen. I can manage and view all with Sync, but nothing more apear into Handset.Only a white screen. Can you help with this please.

Usually that's a sign that your LCD is broken. I've got one extra magician with exactly that same problem. Everything works but not the LCD, which seems to be dead. To confirm it, i've tested this "broken" magician with a good LCD and i can see everything...
I guess that you have done something extra besides only upgrading the ROM...

I was flashing my glofiish x500 but Unfortunately while I was updating the power went off!!!!! Now my glofiish X500 turn to black screen and the power lamp lighting in orange colour, I tried to go the bootloader mode but the mobile does not respond still giving me the black screen with the power lamp lighting with orange colour, Please what do I do to make it work again?

I tried to connect the mobile to computer, but it the computer does not recognize the mobile and active syn. does not connect with the mobile......

Is there any life in the device at all, ie pressing power button do anythng at all? Have u tried a hard reset via the buttons (not software dependant) sorry i dont know the button combination for the glofiish.
Was it an official rom update? Have you tried charging device for at least 3 hours without the sim card and sd (if it has one) or tried another battery?
If there is nothing then it sounds bricked to me.
Is there any possibility to "recover" (put its life back :-D) a bricked device? I can not imagine that it is totally broken - it is only software isn't it? I'm a newbie. Thanks

i have a problem with my i-mate jamin aka HTC prophet.
i have owned this phone for 3 years and everything was going ok, until a few days ago when i reset the phone the screen went completely white and constantly vibrated, eventually the phone battery died, and will not charge anymore.
is this a software problem? or hardware? i am totally comfortable opening it up if need be, i previously opened my old i-mate jam fixing the 2.5mm earphone jack.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
p.s sorry if i have posted this in the wrong section.
