I have an xperia arc (4.0.2.A.0.42) that've rooted. I've found a rom that i want to install and I've installed Rom Manager. But Rom Manager dosen't support my model. So I don't know what I should do. I've looked around on google like crazy but I don't find anything helpfull. Can I do anything from the computer or someting? I appreciate if someone could help me with this.
Make sure you have fully backed up everything.
If you have rooted your phone by the revoulutionary hack.
Reboot into recovery and do a full wipe and then install zip from folder
Ensure the custom rom is on your SD Card.
And Voila!

Hi
I have read a heap about roms unlocking boot loaders etc.
I have installed Clockwork Recovery and flashed Mini CM7 Pro.
I really want to flash 7-2.2.0 and nAa Kernel but one thread says i need to be on the SE 2.1 rom to do this and another doesn't mention it. For some reason my PC wont allow me to access the recovery mode via PC Companion to install the stock Rom.
So can i just follow the instructions from my current setup using Clockwork Recovery?
Thanks
Help Please
Have i done something wrong or is this just a really tough question?
CWM was working fine on my phone. But recently i tried to install fxp 220. But while flashing boot.img my phone got somewhat dead, in the sense, the phone would only vibrate when i press power button and nothing would happen. So i downloaded stock kernel and flashed. Now the phone is working fine. But cwm is not booting. So i re-installed it. Still not working. Please help. Thanks in advance!
Please for GOD sake reply...I'm waiting. Tell me what has happened. I want to correct it. Please tell me how can i get cwm to work on m y phone. I've performed a nandroid backup before this happened. So is there any way out. Please please do help me.
Have you rooted after installing stock rom? First flash stock or skip if you have done that already.
Then use unlockroot to root your fone.
Then find cwm from the android development section and install it.
Then turn off your fone.
Turn it on and press vol - repeatedly when you see Sony logo.

I didn't flash to stock ROM, i just flashed STOCK KERNEL. So it's already rooted and BL is unlocked. I tried to install cwm more than 6-7 times. still not loading.

i think u must install custom kernel with CWM recovery or TWRP to get into recovery mode....
You just need to flash cm7-gb nAa kernel, enter cwm and flash cm7 , after wiping everything in cwm ofcourse
