Top button stopped working with HD revolution - HTC Inspire 4G

The title pretty much says it all. I just flashed to the new HD revolution Rom (6.1.2) and the top button now wont reset or turn off the phone while held. It will put it to sleep when pressed but holding it does nothing. I would have posted this in the Rom thread but I don't have enough posts since I am a new user. Not sure if this is a wide spread issue or not.

with the new sense 3.0 and the mods, you have to hold the button longer than normal.
BY THE WAY....there is an entire Q&A section just for this type of stuff. there is even a dedicated thread for ARHD....

thanks sort of figure it out just!
you know you should use the search button instead of just posting a new thread. maybe you just got your phone and you want to learn everything about it but you are making it harder to reach information. same question is replied several times before if you do a search which is very very easy you can find the answer. that is the point of forums. you search first and if you can not find the answer despite your search then you post a thread. this sensation forum is becoming useless because people are just posting without searching and it is becoming a garbage forum.

[Q] Magic Problems with SFM 3.0

I installed the SFM 3.0 rom in my HTC Magic, great rom, everything works great, but... there is a little problem that is bugging me, every time I try to turn the phone on pressing the power button, it won't turn on!!, the only way to solve the problem is to pull the battery off the phone and then put it back in place, press the power button and... voilá!! the phone turns on again. Is there any way to solve this problem? I'll appreciate any help.

Hi, if you read the whole paragraph you´ll be able to find my question. I placed the problem I´m having first so the question at the end of the paragraph can make sense. I apologize if is not the correct way to make questions in this forum

[Q] Motorola Charm Issues

Okay so I can't find any other threads on here about this, but if you know one, please put the link below.
My friend's motorola charm is really messed up: The screen will only show the lock screen and the status bar. If I press the menu button, nothing happens to my knowledge because I can't see anything. She says that the keyboard buttons are functional, however, I'm not so sure they are. I tried to hard reset it, but couldn't get to the hboot menu. I looked up countless pages, and tried all of the suggestions.
I held down the camera button and power, camera power and volume down, power and x, power and delete, just about everything...
Any suggestions? How can I get the screen working again and if I have to hard reset it what should I do?

[Q] Power Menu Missing

Hello,
I'm not sure I'm in the correct forum for this problem, but I hope someone will tell me if I'm not. I've installed the Icey Creamed Glacier ROM on my HTC Glacier (MT4G) and am quite happy with it. Just recently I noticed I'm not able to get to the power menu settings. I logged on to the Team Kang forum and wrote the following there. Judging from the lack of response to my last visit and the general lack of activity, I decided to post it here as well. If anyone could point me in the right direction for a solution it would be very much appreciated.
Here it is:
I upgraded from GB to Icey Creamed Glacier quite successfully and am happy with ICS. But, somewhere along the line I lost the Power Menu ability. When I hold the power button down for a bit, instead of getting the menu I expect to see, the phone does what looks like a reboot, showing the team kang splash screen for a while, then “SIM card added”, “You must restart your device to access the mobile network.” and a “Restart” button. When I click on that button, it does a normal reboot.
My question is how could this have happened in the first place and more importantly how can I restore the power menu capability?
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks.
This technically goes in Q&A, but no biggie.
It sounds like either you didn't format the system partition before flashing (data cache and dalvik cache aren't enough) or you hada bad download.

[Q] Bootloop Issues

Okay, this is my first time actually posting anything on XDA. I won't bother with an introduction and I'll just get to the meat of the issue. I am currently running CM 10.1 JB 4.3 with vincom's Superlite 4.0 (kudos to vincom btw, easily the best rom for this phone imo). Now, I know the problem is not related to the ROM as this exact same issue was occurring when I was running the Liquid Smooth ROM (I apologize I don't remember the dev for that one right now) and the Slimbean JB 4.2 ROM. Without fail, when I turn my phone off, restart it, whatever, it shows the Samsung logo for the appropriate amount of time, then goes to a blank screen. Zip, nada, nothing else. I've alowed it to sit for an entire night in such a state to see if it was just really slow. Still nothing. To make things stranger, when you hold down the power button to hard reset, the screen does the CRT monitor off animation... No clue why it manages that, but not to start up. Tried just tapping the power button when in this state and it still does nothing. I won't bother with logs unless someone truly wants them, but here's where things get really interesting (at least to me): I found that I can get the phone back up and running, and so far I've done this 50+ times and it's still a working method, but if I 3 button hard restart (or just 3 button power on) the phone to recovery, which for me is TWRP 2.6.3.0, there are no issues entering recovery. Then, after many many many trials and errors I found that if I make a recovery image for JUST the data (instead of the cache, android secure, etc etc), then flash the image for just that data, then tell the phone to reboot from within TWRP, viola! The phone boots up, no issues, no lost data, nothing. I would really just like to get this issue resolved . Sorry if this was more of a book to read than necessary, i'm just very confused and thought a detailed explanation would be best. Thanks to anyone for any leads, ideas, or suggestions!
