VPN ports blocked - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi, I have been using VPN over a 3G, on my Sony Xperia Arc. Everything was fine until yesterday, when I noticed that I cannot connect to the VPN over a 3G. Although, the VPN works when connecting over a 3G wireless connection, but it doesn't not connect when using 3G on phone (using only sim-card in phone to get 3G connection, no router)
The VPN provider said that it's likely my telecom has blocked VPN ports on phone and it's different when connecting over a 3G wireless and 3G.
Is there any other way I can possibly connect VPN over a 3G???? I'm not planning to root my phone though.

Accessing internet from WIFI connection

I have an issue with a Sprint TP2 with WIFI. I'm able to connect the router but not able to access the internet. If I connect my phone to the laptop I can use the internet if I change the (Connections:connections: network management) from Sprint to My Work Network but I'm not able to connect via WIFI. I have (Connections: wifi:configure network adapters) to WORK or THE INTERNET for Broadcom 802.11 DHD Network Adapter but it doesn't help. Under Connections: tasks:MY WORK NETWORK:Set up my proxy server I check the box next to THIS NETWORK CONNECTS TO THE INTERNET but it won't stay checked. The profile for the router has been deleted and recreated with no success. I've tried other WIFI routers with no success. My touch pro has no issues. BTW: I'm using version WM6.5.

[Q] Using 3G and Wifi simultaneously

I have a Samsung i5800 and would like to use my data plan to use the Internet at home.
I tried setting my router Dlink DIR600 (ddwrt) to connect the phone but for some reason the Dlink is unable to connect to the Adroc network generated by android-wifi-tether.
So I thought to make the phone connect to the Dlink and to make the computers to route the internet through the android but the android does not allow the Wifi and 3G running at the same time.
Is this possible?
no!!!!!!!!
you cant link your router to your phone to boost the signal per say. What you can do is just a simple android tether to the devices you want to use at your home
You can't do that on your Android phone.
Thank you.

[Q] VPN Connects over 3G, but not Wifi

I have pfsense routers at my home and office. When I try to connect to one from another, my HTC Sensation (TMobile, not rooted), it times out. If I disable wifi and connect with 3G/4G, it can connect to both fine. I'm using PPTP. I thought it was a router issue, but when I connect to public wifi, I get the same results. Any ideas?

[Q] Question on wifi

did anyone tried and tested while connected to a wifi then you activated wifi hot-spot? it always says "Turn off wifi to use wifi hot-spot" any one have ideas on these on how to work both while connected to a wifi then activated wifi hot-spot because hot-spot only works with mobile data network.
Its not possible
A mobile can either recieve wifi or wifi hotspot
This may help u:thumbup:
Hit thanks if i helped
Sent from my GT-S7500
Wifi hot spot means to broadcasting capability, i.e in case of a router it has hotspot which broadcast the network. router only connects devices to it's network or gateway. router dont use this wifi to get connected to another network. because it is impossible to do broadcasting and also to receive another broadcast from another device using only one gateway.
So if you are connected to a network using wifi then how you will be able to broadcast or create a wifi hotspot??
May be I made you understood..

Using built-in VPN on AT&T (LTE & HSPA)

Has anyone been successful using the VPN function on AT&T's LTE network? I can connect successfully but no web pages will display and it's as if I have no internet connection. Using the same VPN while on HSPA or WiFi seems to work fine, so it leads me to believe it's a problem with AT&T's network.
On a side note, does anyone know if tethered connections also route through the VPN connection on the phone?...and if so, would it hide the tethering from being detected by AT&T?

Not sure if your problem is the same as my. But when I connect to my work vpn, i think it routed all my phone's data to the work vpn connection.
anyone knows how to separate the two?
I want work lync on vpn and others remain using my carrier 3g connection.l

Not quite the same issue, but I'll take a stab at answering your question. That is exactly how VPN was designed to work. If you connect to your work's VPN, everything on your phone will route all of your data through that VPN. It's done at the system level, not application level.
