Is Incubus26Jc's Super Eclair suitable for Polaris ?

I was wondering if the Eclair version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670240 is suitable to be used with Polaris, using the nbh from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=660158
It seems like people say good words about this build. Anyone tried it yet ?

Tried it today. I think it's fastest Eclair build for polaris i've tried. After some time of use it becomes almost as fast as donuts.
Anyway there is no wifi and bt. Wifi starts but does'n show any networks. It crashes regulary and reboots. No data with 3G... e.g. no data at all.
Tried with 29-04-2010 kernel (because of ADB support) without any updates.
Will try with paipo's kernel shortly.
UPD: with paipo's kernel it at least tries to scan, and return an error "Unable to scan for networks". With dzo's kernel it didn't scan at all.

Failure! oh dear.
It's not only the build, but the kernel that has to be "shaped" for us.

I tried it but no way for Wifi... Bt works but to use all the days : no for Polaris users

i try this one at the moent but i don"t have any data connection
is this the same by your side ?

good news...
I use it for now with the latest kernel (zImage) of DZO : 29/04/10. I've not tested the latest nbh !
I have BT works (not audio in my car) but not yet Wifi : Incubus26Jc work a lot to include the latest fonctional driver for us
I've not tested GPS.
you can now move up or down the volume for hear sound of the phone and more...
But I can't test data connection because I doesn't have data plan with my operator...

Great news!
With the new nbh files for polaris from dzo, (from 2010-05-07) it works great!
got bluetooth working except for the fact that it breaks connections all the time..
Wifi not working but it seems the whole incubus26jc supereclair version currently has wifi broken!
But I strongly recommend that nbh from dzo

Have you tried the new androidupdate.tar that allows wifi and BT? At least it works for Myn's Warm Donut! it's available to download here (thanks to DZO)

Do you mean that it boots and the interface loads OK, but wifi doesn't start?

No, it boots and then i get a black screen and nothing happens.

After sometime, 3g data connection has been auto-configured without APN entry
whatever, that's a good news since data connection is more reliable than with myn 's last release with latest dzo's kernel
After saying that, that's an eclair build with all it's advantage: better readability even in 120 lcd density and better resolution management, better menu and 3d ability....
I was able to run copilot too with a good gps signal
The main issue (as always with eclair build at the beginning ) is battery lifetime
hope it will go better

Has anyone make wifi work with this build for NAND?
I installed it today and it was really fine, but when I apply the latest wifi/BT, it doesn't boot (the android logo cycles indefinitely).

I use the latest DZO kernell http://it029000.massey.ac.nz/vogue/files/?C=M;O=D or the modify file by Kallt_kaffe himself http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=660158 with the the Loserskater NBH editor http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689812 for choice the good panel for our phone
what is fully good in this build :
- phone of course... and very very fast
- battery : you have to use last kernel of DZO...
- Wifi : no problem
- BT : no problem
- MMS : you can receive and send
- GPS with Igo : a bit slower after first installation
- GPS with Navigon : very fast
- synchronize data ok
- market (I think full but I'm not sure)
- live wallpapers
- and more and more...
I installed in nand.
I use it with ADW launcher : very beautiful and fast !!
I think you have to do all Kallt_kaffe advise for his build work well...

I can recommend it, too. For me, it's faster than Myn's Eclair RLS1. By the way, I managed to connect to my car kit successfully out-of-the-box with the latest kernel (.NBH). It experiences some slowdowns when running memory intensive applications and you switch back to, for example, Home Screen, but it's really good.

The behavior when stressed is different from myns.. i got these lack untill the homescreen apears too. But overall it looks more stable.
How can i get these dots in the corner to switch home screens?
Can i change the way the middle button(all apps) behaves? In myns there is full screen and all apps are flying in, in this build the slider goes up, but it "feels" a bit small compared to myn :/
(and a offtopic question: nexusmod wallpaper from market dosnt work. is there a nexus like live wallpaper? Cant find the orginal one, i think its not in the market)

This is the only build working Wifi/BT for my Pola100, with PAIPO Zimage of 26/03/2010 !!!
It's a GREAT BUILD ... Maybe a bit slower than Myn's Eclair, but works perfectly!!!

- When I try to install "LAUNCHERPRO" ... AFTER installing nothing change on "Home" Screen. Nothing.
How Installing Launcherpro correctly ?
(My installation is on SD with Haret, Not NAND).

I use this version of rom with a brand new battery. I use it about 2 houres, approx. 15 minutes of talk time and small WIFI and the battery is 70 percent. Is there any way increase uptime?
Hi, can you tell me which version of nbh and zImage do you use?

Use latest nbh and wait same days. The dzo kernel recalibrate the battery use.
The power drain is a quite big problem for our device :-(

I think you have to press one time on power button and a toolbox is coming to make your choice for launcherpro.

Manu33xtro, now that you mention it, I connected the car audio but I didn't test it. I'll have to make some tests to see if it works properly. It's a Parrot CK3100-LCD.

New build : Cm5.0.8
Maybe yes but you should test it...
And now Kallt_kaffe has release a new build port of CM5.0.8 : I will test it right now

What version of IGO you are using? Where did you get 320x240 version? I have found modified data.gro, but still not perfect.
Usnig this build since RL2. Some remarks:
- overclocked with Rogue tools to 450 MHz -> runs smoother. But phone must be charged every day.
- cant understand the logic how calls end. Some times it ends exactly after caller disconnects. Sometimes no, disconnects after some time.
- WiFi on/off. My network has hidden SSID. WiFi turns on, but don't connects to network. I have to go Settings -> WiFi settings, and then phone connects to network
- GPS works, but sometimes looses satelites. Can be fixed with phone restart.
- Battery on RL3 stuck on 100%
Phone working, SMS working, battery life is ok for me.
Update:
with RLS5 looks like phone don't charges -> stuck on 15%

Data.gro is located: /data/data/com.navngo.igo.javaclient/data.gro
I can send you pm with link to modified file tomorrow.

Try it right now : much better than RSL3b... I will post my test later (after more test...)

The last version : 139242 (look at PPCWAREZ). But like you, the data.gro is not perfect and I find IGO a bit slower and lose sometimes the GPS position ! I will try with the CM5.0.8.
- I doesn't use overclocking
- same effect for calls but i think it's better with this last build : I wait to do more tests
- Wifi works good !?! I see all networks... Maybe with the last kernel ??
- same for us, the battery life must be better : DZO know this problem

You have to use root explorer or apk like this to replace the file...

But when i connected charger, al least for 1/2 an hour, battery level stay at 15%. Maybe battery fallen below the critical level.
WiFi is working ok, when connected But when I turn it on, i have to go Settings -> WiFi settings. Otherwise nothing happens.

that's a classical eclair's build issue
Be patient, try some reboot and connect/deconnect your charger and after some charging/decharging cycle, battery accuracy will be better

slow..compare to incumbus, even after set cpu speed to 450

4. Flash Camara fix. SBF with Rsd4.9
5. The signal is not stable now, so install ifunzbaseband switcher.apk, switch to European band!!
Feedback:
1. For the one whose Market didn't work, pl go & check settings-data-protect data-tick
2. For the one who had the Wireless and network access problem, you have to wipe and do the whole process again (I have a friend got you case)
3. The Fake signal bar, the signal is ok (settings-about phone-status) you would see -50dBm or so, that means your signal is good! Jboogie is working on that!

The baseband switcher is promising, I have signal strength problem with official chinese froyo. So I tried this app but... it's all chinese, and I have absolutely no idea which button should I choose on the pop-up menu. Can somebody please translate those 3 labels?

Yes, the left one is for the Chinese 2.2, Middle one for T-Mobile USA, Right one for European!!!
And European works on mine!!

nothing is perfect . Jboogie3 rom has signal bar theme bug .
one you got the full signal , the bar will show as "No signal" that mean no bar

Cannot access Wireless & networks
Thanks for this quick rom but I'm unable access Wireless & networks under settings. It just close itself when click the Wireless & networks item. I've tried installed the defy baseband switch assistant and select European baseband. I've attached a logcat file for your reference.

Does the camera flash properly work? or just the camera itself but no flash?

What about the market?
Does the download work?

I tried this and also had the same problem with the flash, only worked first time then not working but camera still works.
Also same problem with market not downloading apps.
Did find other than those 2 problems it was good, and fast

Thats why I decided to give it a try

I'll leave it a tad longer myself while people who don't need to actually use their phone tinker and test

Good Rom every thing does seem to work but still a few niggles
camera + flash
wifi
bluetooth
notification led
market
sound
only problem i found is that when u select to mount sd for file transfer it does for a seccond then goes back so that doesnt work
also GPS takes even longer then usual to find location and even then its on and off

Mild Wild 5.0 on HTC Desire

Becouse, I'm new I need to post my message here in General forum, sorry for that!
I have problem with my HTC Desire, after I installed Mild Wild 5.0 Stable-Release.
The problem is my GPS, it doesn't work. I don't see the notification icon when I run GPS.
GPS Test and GPS Status doesn't see any satelites and of course, my gps navigation doesn't work. I try to clean cache, dalvik-cache, install AGPS Patch from this forum. Almost every type of this patch... but any thing helps.
Then I try look for some information about blocking GPS in source code,. I found information that only in betas sometimes the GPS is blocked by programmers, in stable releases they never do this, also only couple of people had the same problem, so it could be tricky.
FYI: on my original ROM (from HTC: Android 2.2.2) the GPS was working perfect.
Do you have some ideas what could be a problem?

You can't post in the Dev forum, but you can (and should) post this in the Q&A forum for your device.

This might be a silly question, but have you tried explicitly turning on your GPS and then opening an app like GPS Essentials? I mean this instead of relying on the app to turn it on.

same problem. I tried external gps via bluetooth and everything works. Version Mildwild 5.0.

Let me guess - is that is Desire PVT4? (It'll say on the recovery-loader screen.)
I had exactly the same problem: on a PVT4, with MW-CM5 no GPS, with MW v4.3 the GPS is fine.
But on my older Desire PVT1, both versions work fine with the GPS.

Hi all,
For Signal, Small arrows do not exist but the gray or blue signal color indicates that the data connection works
no HotSpot, the data connection is initialized but can not have an IP.
4ext says that i need root, but couple second after that message, i get in recovery, and it shows me Backups

Has anyone else had a problem with the ROM restarting everytime an app crashes? Also, tried everything I can think with the battery. Is there another solution for the irregularity issues(turn on -> 99%, turn off - turn on -> 7%, turn off - turn on -> 33%, turn off - turn on -> 72%, turn off - etc)? I've tried reseting the battery stats, draining it and fully charging it countless times, charging it without the phone(in a dock).

Wi fi connection issues
I have noticed some random problems in connecting to wi-fi. I had to reboot my phone in one instance to get it to connect to a wi-fi access point. Other than that, I have not experienced any major problems on 10.2. I'm currently using the Aug 21 build of android1234567's ROM. I'm very impressed, so far...
