hi am trying to restock my galaxy tab GT-P1000, but i cant charge the battery passed 10%... i left the phone charging overnite, switched off, using the official tab charger & cable with no joy... i hoped it was just reporting the wrong percentage so i started the overcome guide to restock...
once i got to the stage where the phone should reboot and give me the sexy voice reporting that it is converting the file system i hear the sexy voice say something like "no battery level conversion cancelled, no battery level conversion cancelled"
what does this mean ?? i cant get a battery level as i cant charge, so how do i get around this catch 22 ?
i have wiped the battery stats in CWM and i was going to use a market recalibration app.. but phone needs to be rooted... and of course i cant get back to rooted with converting... ARGH...
someone, anyone please help
how do i fix this ?
thanks
Ok well to start I have a Galaxy S 4G from tmobile with 2.3.6. Ok now what it doing is always turning off at random time. Like it'll say the battery is at 90% then 5% then30% each time different % when it turns back on. Even when the phone is off and I know it's completely dead on the charging icon it'll show full battery??? Now please tell me there is a fix to this. Yes I've tried a new battery. Yes I've did a factory reset and still nothing.
Use the Gremlin Remover in the dev section. Follow all of his recommendations as it as helped others who this has happened to.

i got the new battery today but it is still the same no reaction only a black display. I think it is really broken. I'm at a loss what to do
1. Charge the battery properly using an external battery charger.
OR
2. Use the other method of cutting the USB cable n directly charging the battery.
3. Boot to Open Recovery once you see the M logo.
Give us your problem in detail after trying these steps.

I got a new battery yesterday and with this it was the same i cant switch the phone on, no bootloader nothing not even the motorola M
The following happend to my phone:
After reflashing to 2.1 i run it with dexter's froyo it was really good running. Than i changed the wallpaper to an android logo which was new in my gallery after installing dexter's froyo, it looks not good and i want to change it back. Suddendly the display did'nt react anymore it seems like it was frozen i can't do anything not even switch it out. Than - and i think, this was my big mistake - i put the battery out and in again and i try to switch it on...and nothing happend.
Maybe interessting: I try to load the phone with the new battery and the phone becomes warn in the upper, area one third.
Postscript: I just dicover that the total phone becomes warm allover, the battery is in, i put it out and i think the phone is warmer than the battery. I put the battery in again
PS: 1/2 hour later the phone is now cold again
same problem

Bricking HTC phones got very less chances .....like out of 100% HTC phones won't brick for 99.99% .
So try changing your battery...might help

It's definitly no a brick 'cause you did flashed your kernel and ROM successfully after rooting it. I've never heard of anyone who bricked his phone while he rooted it succesfully and had a working custom ROM on it.
Have you overclocked it, may the battery/chipsets died this way? Any scripts or tweaks on it?
Mhmmm...found this:
http://lifehacker.com/5853519/how-do-i-fix-my-bricked-android-phone
It says sth. about phones that won't turn on anymore
Dude ... Yeah Firstly .. trying changing The Batt. cause .. i have a feeling ur Battery has gone Bad ... :/ n try to clean ur like golden slots in battery .. Check if there is Carbon type thing in those ..
This may be the first case of bricking i've seen for Pico. Have a look at your battery, or the port in which your charger plugs in.
Do you charge with USB? I had a problem with my USB wire, it did not charge when connected to adapter, so i used my Samsung charger and charged the phone. So check your charging apparatus.
If everything is in vain, go to HTC Store and play dumb (i.e. "Sir i was using it and suddenly it did not start")
and Rule 1 in playing dumb: Never utter the "root" word, nor bootloader, its best if the store guy thinks you're a noob
Trust me, most of the time if you are within the warranty time they wont bother and give you a new phone, my friend once did with Micromax, and got it repaired free of cost.
Hi, I have had my Motorola Atrix HD for 2 years now and just today my phone was stuck at 5%. I tried to see if it was my charger but it wasn't, then I looked at the battery and it looked normal as usual so I tried to just clean like the dust off the charger. I also tried to reset my phone to see if that helped but still no luck... I don't know what to do! Is my phone broke? The reason I want it fixed is because obviously the warranty is gone and I can't purchase a new phone. So I just want to see if anyone can help me... I forgot to mention that when I power off the phone it turns on ( plugged in to charger) shows a battery with a question mark in it. So please if anyond can help please do
